re: Just to clarify more from the other explanation, here's my basic summary of kin. Well, first there's the more physical being of 'kin.' I am coyotekin, meaning that I believe that in a past life, I was a coyote. There are many other ways of being 'kin' but that's mine! In the context of my drawing, that's fictionkin. This means you connect yourself to fictional characters to symbolize yourself. Say, I'm kin with Stonefur from Warriors. He had trouble with being half-clan, and basically puts his comrade's needs before his own. As I myself have issues with my relationship with my family, and I also feel like him, I decided to have him symbolize these parts of me. It sounds crazy, but it really helps if you have struggles with mentality. I hope this is a decent explanation!!!
