@Aggron- Well this lizard was black like a shadow, his eyes were dark too so it made him look demonic. He was small, but he was EVIL.

Erwen remained at the top of the spire, looking down upon the capital Solaris. On the horizon light was beginning to show, ending this long night.

Seeing as there was still a while till they arrived at Solaris, Macgyver thought they shouldn't fly in silence. "So, Ivy. Are you from Solaris? Because I don't think I've ever seen you before."

At first, Maldius grins at Vitis' enthusiasm, but then lets out a sigh. "Unfortunately, my fortress in the Frozen Waste has been utterly devastated by my enemies, so I have come to the mainland searching for a new domain... what's more, I have severely... upset... one of my allies with my actions... Tell me, have you any ideas?"

Ivy adjusted her position to ensure Macgyver wouldn't slip and fall away from her, then she turned and shot him a quick smirk. 'No, I'm not from Solaris,' she said. 'I'm from... hm, somewhere else,' she added cryptically.

'I'm bored!' Crowley groaned out loud as he flew down from the palace spires. After following Erwen and being ignored, he decided to annoy the turkey boy another time. //Maybe I can go visit the worm instead,// he thought idly, swooping out of Solaris and heading for the spot where he normally encountered Vitis.

{Vitis stops happily sqirming about to give Maldius' question some thought.}"Well, my place isn't big enough. I know a cave we could crash at, but it's across the Chrysos border. Would that do?"

(Hey, gtg for an hour.)

"How easy is it to locate? I wouldn't want it to be discovered quickly." The dark dragon coils his tail around himself thoughtfully as he speaks.

(Aww, alright @Aggron XP )

Mac frowned for a second. "Are you from Aqualam? Don't feel worried to answer, I'm not like the others. I think Chrysos is quite fascinating, really."

No longer seeing any use of being up there, Erwen flew down and landed back at the closed off entrance to the palace. One of the attendants came up and quickly informed Erwen that all the tasks had been completed. "Thank you, for your assistance." The dragon bowed his head and ran off.

'I WAS from Chrysos,' Ivy replied, her eyes going distant. 'But I left a long time ago. I'm just a traveller now. No-one you ought to worry about.' She fell silent, hoping he'd change the subject. She thought Mac seemed nice enough, but a small part of her still worried that he'd mistrust her just because of where she came from.

"Oh." Mac said. "Most of the people I've met outside of the kingdom said they were from Chrysos. They must do things differently there." He sighed slightly, before peering around. "Do you travel with anyone? Surely you wouldn't be alone... Right?"

'Oh, I'm used to being alone,' said Ivy with a faintly sad smile. 'Not many people want to travel with me. I did have a friend recently, but... he's not here at the moment.' Her heart quickened as she wondered where Casta could be right now. //I might have abandoned him to his death,// she thought guiltily. //But now I'm free, I'll find a way to save him somehow!//

"Oh..." Mac noticed she was getting a little sad. "I don't understand why, you seem pretty nice. I mean- not many Dragons would want to be helping me right now, to pe honest. Most are afraid to approach me."

Ivy glanced down at him in surprise. 'Well, why ever not?' she enquired curiously. 'You seem like a perfectly sweet, honest young dragon to me. I don't imagine why anyone wouldn't like you!'

(Maldius: @Radiant I need someone to talk tooooooo!)

(Lilly: I don't want Crowley to show up until Aggron comes back to control Vitis, and all my other characters are kind of occupied right now.)

Mac blinked for a moment, hoping he wouldn't scare her away. "It's because of what I can do, my magic. Of course, you must have magic to properly fit into Aqualam's society, but my magic isn't like theirs. I have magical capability over fire. I can summon it at will, I can give or take heat from a living being, what not. But it's hard to control, and it makes me look like a monster. They don't see the real me, the see a monsterous creature who works for a king just because he takes pity in me." A small puff of fire escaped from his jaws. "Most dragons can breathe fire, but mine's..... Different."

Erwen opened the doors to the palace so it was back to it's 'welcoming' state. He looked out at the capital one last time before returning inside. The room where he and his father fought was still damaged, with cracks lining the floor and walls but otherwise looked normal.

'Well, my fire isn't exactly normal, either.' Ivy turned her head away from Mac and let out a jet of bright green, venom-infused flame that dissipated into the air. 'But even if you have problems controlling your fire, that doesn't make you a monster. I'm sure you could learn to control it with lots of practice.' She looked straight ahead. 'Ooh, I think I see Solaris over there!'

Mac smiled. "I guess we both are misfits." He grinned as he saw Solaris. "Finally! I can get medication for my agony-"

(Back!) Vitis:"Oh, it's quite hidden. From above, it looks like the normal forest, but beneath the trees, it goes down quite a ways, kinda like a canyon. At the bottom is the cavern. It's pretty huge, it should fit us all."

(Welcome back, @Aggron!)

A faint grin comes across Maldius' maw. "Good, are you able to show me this location now?"

Ivy smirked and began to glide down towards Solaris, keeping her descent slow so he wouldn't fall. She landed outside the palace and glanced around. 'Is there anyone around here who you know?' she asked. 'I don't want to leave you here alone, considering the mess you're in.'

Crowley flew quickly over the trees until he came to the place where his meetings with Vitis normally took place. However, he paused when he noticed another dragon on the ground, apparently in conversation with the giant worm. //Wonder who he is?// he thought, hovering above the pair.

(Wb @Aggron!)

{Vitis continues, but stops when he looks up.}"Yes, I can, but....Uh oh, we've got company."{Vitis motions towards Crowley.}

Mac thought for a moment. "Yes I think I kn-" But he cut himself off, remembering something. "The King. I need to find him. You know, Lennox? It's urgent- sadly, one of his guards have died and our greatest criminal is on the mainland again."

Scratch picked up the faint buzz of an unfamiliar mind getting closer. From under Maldius' hand he spoke muffled. "Sir, hate to butt into your conversation, but I sense a stranger getting closer..."

Ivy considered for a moment. 'All right. He'll be in the palace, won't he? I've met him once before.' She grinned and motioned towards the palace gates. 'Lean on me if you want, I'll help you find him.'

Maldius looks up as well, his dark yellow eyes narrowing as he spots the crowdragon, but he hides a grin. //It's that crow that I met when I first arrived... this should make for a fun conversation.//

Crowley, noticing that the purple dragon was aware of his presence, showed his teeth in something that was too cruel to be a smile. 'Well, well,' he snickered, looking at Vitis. 'The green worm's found an ugly new friend.'

"How rude. I should tear your wings off just for that," Maldius remarks casually with a huff. "You wouldn't be much of a bird after that, would you?"

Mac nodded. "Of course, it would be stupid of me to go alone." He looked around. "He'd probably be in the throne room, to be exact."
Scratch poked Maldius' hand. "Sir? Master? Could you please let me out? It's quite cramped-"

{Meanwhile, the Necromancer arrives at his lair just as the sun is rising. Upon entering, he sees a heavily damaged Theseus wearing a less than pleased look.}"Theseus? What happened to you?"
{Theseus tents his fingers and takes a deep breath.}"Necromancer, I am afraid that I have failed you. Lennox is dead."
{It takes Ardens a few seconds for those words to sink in.}"Dead? Who killed him? Maldius?"
{Theseus just shakes his head.}"No. He was murdered by Erwen. His own son."
{At this, Ardens quickly removes his armor.}"Why, Theseus? Why'd he do it?"
Theseus:"According to Avatil, it was to gain the power from the broken seals in order to stop Maldius."{Ardens hands his bag to a draugr and begins to leave.}"Thank you, Theseus. This is either very good, or very, very bad." {Ardens heads through the tunnels towards Solaris.}

Crowley let out a burst of harsh laughter. 'Have fun trying to catch me,' he said casually. With that, he teleported from his spot above Maldius to a high tree branch about thirty feet to his left. 'Can you do that? Can you?'

{Vitis yells up at Crowley}"Oi, Birdbrain! What're you doin' back?"

Remembering Scratch, the dark dragon lifts his paw, releasing him. He doesn't actually remember keeping him held down, but... it matters little to Maldius.

'Then what are we waiting for? Let's get moving!' Ivy threw a wing over Mac's shoulders and hurried through the gates into the palace.

( @Aggron I suppose Ardens will speak to Fayveer later, then?)

(Aggron: Just wondering, but is Vitis supposed to be speaking with a specific accent? The way his dialogue is written gets me curious.)

( @Lilly Yeah, after he talks to Erwen. Logically speaking, making sure that Erwen isn't going to burn the place down with his new powers or start a war with Chrysos would take priority. After he's done, he'll interrogate Fayveer.)

(JUST DROPPED MY MUSIC STAND ON MY HEAD RGGHHHHH)

Mac followed, a little startled. "It's been only a day, yet I feel like this is the first time I've been here in months." He said.

Scratch grumbled, brushing some dirt off of his shoulder. "Who's that Skank you were just talking to?"

( @Aggron Alright, makes sense :p )

Maldius grins, looking to the place he last heard Crowley's voice. "I accept your challenge," he says--and suddenly, the dark dragon disappears without a sound.

Ivy hummed in acknowledgement. 'I suppose it can feel that way after something big has happened. You're lucky to have escaped from that guy - Fayveer, wasn't it? - in one piece.' She looked around as she continued walking, trying to remember the layout of the palace. She'd only been here once before.

(Aw come on Maldius, dun be OP. DX)

Crowley grinned in return and vanished, reappearing on top of Vitis' head. 'I'm faster than you, big guy!' he yelled, despite not knowing where Maldius was.

Mac shuddered. "I don't care about his name, he was just so creepy. A living puppet he was going to turn me into! I'm lucky you all showed up."

Scratch grumbled again and watched what was going on.

(Maldius: @Radiant Ayyy, I do what I want! The question now is whether or not I should tackle Vitis to get the birdie...)

{Vitis jumps when Crowley lands on top of him.}"Hey, featherhead! Leave me out of this!"{Vitis begins to try to shake Crowley off.}

(Lilly: Actually, if Maldius has the ability to teleport, why didn't he use it to get back to his fortress after Ivy poisoned him? Or to travel around more quickly?)

( @Radiant He doesn't have teleportation, he's using illusion magic to make himself invisible :p )

Crowley sunk his claws into the scales on Vitis' skull. 'Sorry, but I'm safe here as long as your ugly friend doesn't want to hurt you to get me!'

(Lilly: Ah, alright.)

Ivy smirked. 'And I'm glad we found you in time. A handsome young dragon like you shouldn't have to die like that.' She then glanced at Mac, grinning sheepishly. 'Actually, I don't know my way around this place very well. Could you lead us to where you think King Lennox will be?'

Maldius, however, hasn't actually moved from his spot. The invisible dragon lowers his head down to Scratch and whispers, "What do you think, should I catch the tarred chicken or not?"

(I might have to go in a little while. I don't know if I'll be back.)

{Vitis begins to roll and thrash about, hitting Crowley against the ground.}"I said, GET OFF!"

( @Radiant Aww, alright.

Maldius: *eats popcorn* This is quite amusing to watch.)

Crowley yelped as one of his wings was crushed against the ground, snapping a few small bones. He swore explosively and raked his hooked talons across Vitis' head, before quickly teleporting away to avoid further damage. He reappeared on a nearby tree branch, glaring furiously.

(Crowley to Maldius: Don't you wanna get involved? Are you scaaaared of me?)

Mac smiled. "Of course! Well, I normally take the entrance down on the left. You see the nice doors? Just fly through there, and up the hallway to the right it should be there."

Scratch looked down at his daggers. "You shouldn't let him insult you and get away. Just easily pick him up, it would be quite foolish of him to try to get away again."

(Maldius: *laughing* Oh no, I just think it's hilarious how all I've done is sit here and go invisible, and yet you've already broken your wing. What will you do next, hit your pea-sized brain against a tree?)

Crowley turned his gaze onto Maldius and Scratch. 'Hey, who's the wingless freak?' he asked loudly.

Ivy nodded and followed the route Mac had indicated. 'Are you particularly close to the King?' she asked to pass the time.

(Crowley: And you just had to turn yourself invisible at the first sign of trouble. Some 'terrifying master of evil' you are.)

{Vitis sneers up at Crowley}"Awww, what's wrong? Did the widdle birdie break his widdle birdie wing? Ahahahaha! That's what you get for trying to use me as a shield!"

"Hmm, good point," Maldius replies, //but I think I shall toy with him some more.// Looking to where Crowley had retreated, the invisible exile uses telekinesis to break the branch beneath him.

(Maldius: Well, I seem to get into worse trouble when I'm not invisible, so I figured it'd be a good idea...)

Crowley threw out his wings to steady himself as the branch snapped, remembering at the last moment that one wing was fractured. As he fell, he activated his magic and disappeared from sight, materialising again only a few feet behind Maldius. 'You're way too old and slow to catch me!' he cackled gleefully.

(Crowley: Cowaaaarrrd~)

(He's not scared, he's on tha toilet)

{Vitis just watches to see what happens}

{Ardens arrives at the palace. He runs through the halls, passing Ivy and Mac, but paying them no heed. He pushes through the throne room doors. Upon seeing Erwen, he gives a little chuckle.}"So, it's true. You really did rub out your old man."

(I kinda need to go now, but as there's so few people here, I don't want to leave you guys with nothing to do...)

Maldius: @Blood *turns around* Youuuuu!?!?)

( @Lilly: lol, You'll never catch me Maldius! Even the snoop police couldn't! *flees*)

Without saying anything in reply, Maldius whips around, leaping at the tiny Crowdragon, but also using telekinesis to slam Crowley into the ground before he can reach him, hoping at least to hold him down.

( @Radiant Just remove Crowley from the equation, then @Lilly and I can continue as normal.)

( @Radiant Ahh, alright, we can ignore my last post, then. Like @Aggron said, though, we'll still have something to do :p )

Crowley grunted as the impact with the ground knocked the air out of his lungs, but still managed to use his magic to teleport out of the dark dragon's grasp.. He appeared on a hillside about fifty feet away, gasping for breath. 'Idiot,' he shouted at Maldius. 'No matter how awesome and dark your magic is, you can't block my teleportation.'

(Lilly: It's all right, I'm getting Crowley to escape.)

Mac let out a wheeze as he made his way through the throne room doors, immediately hitting the floor. He looked up and around the throne room. "Maldius- He's back- Kremos is dead-" But he noticed Lennox wasn't there. "Your Majesty?"

( @Radiant Alright XP )

Maldius growls slightly, waiting to see if Crowley will return, but then turns back to Vitis. "I assume the miserable foul is an accquaintance of yours?"

(*fowl)

{Vitis looks up at Maldius.}"Yeah, he's one of the guys that bailed on me the first time."

Crowley watched the two dragons talking from a safe distance, then let out a loud derisive laugh and teleported back into Solaris. 'Weirdos...' he muttered, going to look for a healer who could tend his fractured wing.

Ivy also looked slightly surprised as she followed Mac's gaze. 'Maybe he's busy elsewhere?' she ventured.

(OK guys, I got to go. Hopefully it'll be a little more active next week.)

"Hmmph. I find him quite amusing... if not somewhat annoying." The dark dragon pauses a moment, then continues, "Now, shall we head to that cave you spoke of?"

{Vitis nods}"Yes, but it's quite a ways from here. Do you mind flying us there? It's south of Wyrvane, Not far from the desert."

"I am more than capable of that, however, I may need you to guide me, as I have never left Aquilam territory before." Maldius tries searching through his memory for anything related to Chrysos, faintly recalling an image of strange yellow snow called 'sand' which he once saw through the Pool of Visions, though he cannot remember much else, to his disappointment. Despite this, he feels... almost excited to be journeying to a new place. //I wonder what I shall see there? What does sand feel like?//

( @Lilly- I'd say a little bit bigger. Mac is thinner, and Scratch is taller and more bulkier. You've just reminded me, I've got to make a ref for Scratch XD)

Scratch hissed, looking around confusingly. "Maldius, Who are you talking to?" He asked, not seeing another dragon nearby.

{Vitis grins}"Sure, no problem. I can navigate."{Vitis slithers atop Maldius}"But, we'd better go invisible before we go. Don't want to give away the location of our base, now do we?"

Maldius turns to look at Scratch, mildly confused. "Do you not see the giant serpent?"

"No" Scratch said. "I see you, and uh- yep."

(Brb real quick, guys)

{Vitis leans in towards Scratch from Maldius' back.}"Hey, I'm right here. You feelin' alright, pal?"

Scratch leans backwards as he feels Vitis breathing in his feet. "Yes- Yes I'm alright." He said, feeling Embarassed. "I forgot to mention it, unless it's obvious. I'm blind. It's a side effect of my abilities. I can only see things with readable minds, mostly dragons. Not oversized.... Serpents?"

Face* Not feet

{Vitis leans back.}"Oh. Wait, you can read minds? Awesome! Oh, oh, can you tell me what Maldius is thinking right now?"

Scratch grunted. "I feel like he is thinking about this magical land of yellow snow you speak of." It was just an educated guess, Scratch didn't like looking into Maldius' mind.

{Vitis cocks his head to the side.}"Magical land of......yellow snow? Wut? It's way too hot down there for any snow to fall. it's just a whole lot of sun, sand, and dirt."

(Back, and Scratch is blind? I'm not sure if I remember that being said before or not XP )

(Nope it wasn't, Scratch doesn't talk about himself that much)

"Whatever. So, are we going then?"

Maldius is pulled away from his thoughts of sun and sand, and clears his throat as he gently flaps his wings. "Yes, let's get going. I am anxious to see Chrysos and its territory." The dark dragon then grabs Scratch with one paw, and Casta with the other, before leaping into the air.

( @Aggron Just out of curiousity, how long can you stay today?)

{Vitis carefully keeps himself from falling off of Maldius, as he has no arms to hold on with.}

Maldius lets out a growl as he remembers the recent events. How he was poisoned, helpless, how he failed to defeat the undead, and then after leaving for a while, he returns to find his fortress utterly devastated. "Some prisoner I had captured in battle caused my fortress to collapse on itself when I left for a while... I don't seem to have enough intelligent servants to properly watch my dungeon while I'm away..." the dark dragon replies, flying in the direction opposite of Aquilam.

Scratch growled quietly, listening to their conversation. He was lucky that Maldius didn't kill him.

Vitis laughs. "Well, there's your problem! You left a blind dragon to watch your fortress! Of course he won't be able to stop them! How can he when he can't even see who's there?"

"For the record, I didn't leave him there alone. My other servant was there..." Maldius replies with a grunt, looking down at the changing landscape below.

(I forgot to say it, but let's assume Maldius already made everyone invisible XP )

"Who, you mean your guard dog (Casta) and Glass eyes (Blackice) over there? Hmm, well, judging by your massive size, your fortress must have been huge. I don't think that three minions would have been enough to watch it. Well, that's in the past now. We can figure out how to guard our new home once we get there. See the city of Wyrvane over there? Turn south now. "

"Hopefully, someday I shall have hundreds of dragons allied to me..." Maldius mutters, following Vitis' instructions closely.

Vitis heard Maldius. "With my help, we'll accomplish just that. Now, turn ever so slightly west. "

(Brb gonna eat dinner)

Erwen turned to face the new arrivals in the throne room. He glared faintly at Ardens before turning to Macgyver and the stranger. "Maldius is back in the mainland?" He sighed before raising is head again. "Please tell me what happened."

Maldius acts as instructed, examining the surrounding area curiously. //I wonder what kind of magic they use down here... Wait, do they even use magic...? Chrysos is a land of blacksmiths, I remember hearing that somewhere... I think... no, I can't quite remember anymore...//

Mac groaned quietly in pain as he moved to look at Erwen. "He was at the school just past the mountain range, and I enlisted Kremos for help. We didn't have enough time to get reinforcements.... He attacked so fast, b-before I knew it-" He hesitated, still pained with the fact that Kremos' death was his fault. "Maldius used his magic to k-kill Kremos... And he slammed me to the ground and left. I was left to die- but without the help of a few other strangers and Ivy," He nodded to the stranger standing next to him. "I would've died...."

He suddenly paused. "Erwen, where is your father? I would think he would want to know. A-and am I loosing it or do you look different?"

Erwen growled under his breath. Hearing that a dragon of his had been killed by Maldius was making him extremely angry and he couldn't explain why. His scales were glowing faintly as his anger grew but he quickly calmed down when he heard Mac's question. "My father is not here anymore."

Mac's eyes widened in terror. "You killed him, didn't you?" He asked in a choked whisper. "We're doomed."

Scratch shakily peered around. He couldn't hear anyone around, only Maldius, Blackice, and the monster Casta's minds. It was unsettling. "I don't like it here..." He growled.

Vitis gets off of Maldius and leads the group through the trees and down hill. They travel a ways until they reach a massive opening in the ground. "Ta da! Here we are!"

Erwen sighed again and looked down at the floor. "I'd prefer if we didn't speak about that." He looked away from his company, trying to avoid any eye contact.

Mac growled, attempting to stand up. "No, we must talk about it." He looked confidently at his new king. "Erwen- Your Magesty, you are the new king. Maldius is threatening your people, and you know it. You can't avoid talking about it, because if you do we really ARE doomed." He looked at Ardens, then back to Erwen. "Pretend we are your council, no wait- we are your council. What are you going to do? We can't just stand around waiting for him to kill us. We can't waste time."

Maldius observes the giant chasm with interest, then turns to Scratch, an eyebrow raised. "You don't like this place? That's unusual, Scratch, care to tell me why?"

Scratch hissed. "It's arid and empty. I can't see- hear anything, and the strain is killing me." He groaned, cradling his head with his claws.

Erwen slouched down in slight defeat. "I can't just go out there and kill him! I have no idea where he is except that he's back!" He glared at Mac before continuing. "We need to make an actual plan, I already spoke to someone and I've come to the decision that we must make peace with Chrysos, that way we can have help."

Maldius looks down at his servant with only the faintest amount of concern and an amused grin. "Why, Scratch, I thought you //wanted// silence? Wasn't it all the thoughts of others that was driving you to insanity?"

"That's not a bad idea, kid. " Ardens pipes up. "But, they're going to want to know why you killed your predecessor. "

Mac's tail hit the ground in frustration. "That's what I'm trying to say! We need to make a plan! Do you really think killing him with no plan is logical?" He said, almost roaring. "You need to get your subjects to trust them, to let them know there is no need to panic. And making peace with Chrysos sounds logical as well, but we need to do this as quickly as possible. Ardens and I can help you, that's what we are here for."

"I don't know what I want!" Scratch cried. "I'm blind and I have no wings! I depend on others in order for me to see! In the frozen waste, there were many exiles spewed on the island that I could use! I was aware of my surroundings! Now I'm useless! There is no one out here but us! I'd rather suffer than be a useless, helpless lizard!" Angry tears were burning in his pupiless eyes.

The dark dragon gently rubs Scratch's head with false pity. "There, there... you are not useless, if you were, I would have left you to die in the Wastes. This is just something you will have to adjust to. If it would aid you any, I do not mind if you either ride on my back or cling to my tail the rest of the way."

Erwen shook his head. "With how fast rumors spread, I'm sure Chrysos will know by the end of the day." He brings his gaze back to Mac and Ardens. "I believe we should try to propose a treaty with Chrysos as one of our first moves."

Ardens nods. "Yes, I agree. But, before that, you'll need the support of your people. "

Mac nodded. "Yes, that would be proper. Although some of your subjects may be a little ah- angry, it's the most smartest and safest way."

Scratch wiped at his eyes and grumbled to himself again.

Maldius chuckles faintly, turning to Vitis. "Now, we just head into the chasm?"

Erwen's eyes narrowed. "And how do you suppose I could gain Aquilam's support again?" He paused and addressed the two again. "Did either of you see Azureus on your way here? She left earlier." A slight hint of worry was on his face."

Vitis: "yes, exactly! Follow me!" Vitis takes off into the chasm.

(I read that at Erwen said: "A slight hint of worry was on her face")

Mac shook his head. "No, I didn't, sorry."

Ardens thinks for a moment. "She's not here? Erwen, why did she leave?"

Erwen shrugged. "I don't know, she left after...that." He paused in thought. "Everyone seems to be gone..."

The dark exile follows Vitis, carefully taking note of his surroundings.

Ardens frowns. "Don't lie to me, Erwen. She saw you kill him, didn't she?"

Mac sighed. "She is bound to be somewhere....."

Erwen nodded. "Of course, that's why she left." He glanced to the exit of the throne room. "I have no idea where she could have gone."

At the bottom of the ravine, Vitis leads Maldius to the mouth of a massive cavern. "Here it is! Make yourselves at home!"

Ardens:"There's really not much we can do about that. She'll be back when she's ready."

Erwen sighed. "Very well, but Azureus isn't the only one gone, I noticed another few other dragons leaving the capital as well." He didn't say any names so he hoped they knew who he was referring to.

Maldius examines the cavern, admittedly impressed. "Hmm... I could get used to living here."

Ardens approaches Erwen. "Who else is missing?"

Mac suddenly got up, feeling interested. But he yelped in pain, quickly covering his mouth and letting out an awkward cough. "Y-yes, who else? It's dangerous to go out in times like this."

Vitis gives a pleased look. "Good to hear. But, this is our base of operations now, so, if anyone else wanders in here, they can't leave. Sound good?"

Letting out a dark chuckle, Maldius grins at the serpent before him. "Of course. I'd never suggest otherwise. Ahh, that reminds me... I haven't spoken to you about my partner."

Erwen looked down at the floor. "Crowley is gone, and so is Nox." Erwen looked over at Mac with muted concern. "Are you okay?"

Vitis grins back. "Ooooooh, another friend! So, who is this mystery conspirator?"

Mac groaned. "I broke a few ribs- but I'll be fine. This is more important. So what are we going to do, look for them?" He couldn't forget what Maldius had said to him about her. Was it true? Was she just using him?

"Ever heard of an old, Chrysos exil named... Maelstrom?" Maldius comfortably sits down, curling his tail around himself as he does so.

Ardens:"Crowley's an idiot, and Nox was just afraid of getting exiled. She'll probably be be back soon."

Erwen nodded. "Yeah, you're right. They'll be fine." He turned back to Mac. "Broken ribs? You need to get that looked at immediately."

Vitis:"Oh yeah, big time boogeyman. Is he real? Is it him? Oh, please tell me it's him!"

Mac nodded. "Yes- alright." He quickly flew away, to look for a nurse.

"Hahaha, yes! My partner is the exile of Chrysos, Maelstrom." Maldius grins proudly at first, but that grin fades as he remembers the extent of how enraged he last saw Maelstrom.

Ok, bye guys. Vitis notices Maldius' change in attitude. "Eh? What's the matter?"

Maldius lets out a growl-like sigh. "Unfortunately... I have (dun goofed) made a rather grievious mistake, and Maelstrom was severly enraged at me because of it. I can admit I can be... a bit impulsive sometimes... I'd like to think that perhaps we can use my mistake to our advantage, but I do not know how, and I am quite certain that if I meet Maelstrom once more without any worthwhile information, he will continue to be cross with me 'till the day he dies."

"Mistake, eh? What did you do to make old metal head mad?"

"I revealed myself to the world after we both had agreed not too... but I was incredibly bored, I just couldn't help myself..."

{Vitis chuckles}"Ah, so now, everyone's on high alert. Hmmm, that is a problem. Then again, maybe not. With your illusion magic, no one has to know you exist. As for Maelstrom, what does he want? What did you promise him when he joined?"

"Hmm? Oh, I didn't promise him much of anything, aside from revenge on the tribes."
