The red spots are more like jaguars spots. Or cheetah/panther I can't remember. The drill it made of bone that broke through the skin. It it flexible and can uncurl to be a straight line. I hope you like it! Change anything you don't like or add anything you want. I tried making it a lot canine-like as you asked. Hope it looks ok ^^
