Hida could've joined in 1890, he'd be 13/14 by then. Basically he was born into a life of a trained pet/slave and wasn't allowed to shapeshift into his 'human' form, until one day he found the opportunity to escape.(Only problem was escaping nearly cost him his leg)
So when they're at the new continent he can join as a guide for when he traveled with his owners and memorized various info about places

Would it ok if Lost joined sometime in 1892 ?
He wouldve been 11 at that time

There were only a small amount in the half linx people species. They were known to have perfect eyesight and a hidden power known as clairvoyance. But the only way to awaken that power was to be completely blind, losing their perfect eyesight. It would also take up a lot of energy and possibly kill them if they used it too often. None of them really desired to lose their sight so they didnt care much for the hidden power, but their were other people who did want it. A few of the half linxes were kidnapped and made blind just so they could use them. Its not very easy to find them though since they have great eyes and could see their enemies from different hiding spots. But sadly, Lost's sister was one of the lynxes that were taken away due to her sacrificing his life for Lost to escape. Lost ended up bumping into one of the crew members who seemed to not recognize his species and begged for help. He was taken to the rest of the crew and decided to join

They promised that theyd protect his eyes
And he felt safe

He wants to find the rest of the half linxes and help them

ok, lets try this agen.
Grape would of 'officaly' joined in 1899 when they were ten
When Grape was five. Do to savear mental trama & a good blow to the head. Grape has no memory of who, where, or what they were. The only memory they had was of a dark night, them being traped in a cage, their ear bleeding & burning, & the sight of two dead, massive, golden foxes being preaped for skinning by potchers. Being so small. the potchers desided that Grade was worth more as being sold as a pet to a wealthy family at the cost. Enduring more trama & pain, Grape was 'Deameticated'. A prosess where non-humans that r being preaped as pets, get everything removed that could b a threat to their owners. & so Grapes fanges, claws, & the tips of their horns where removed. & for three years they were treated as an excessory pet. Haveing no meamory, Grape quickly excepted this as normal. & dispite their crul owners never flinched, & evenchaly became hollow.

But one night. a Raid hit the wealthy comunity, lead by the now famus El Fantasma. & reather then fleeing for their own life. A maid & fellow slave, grabed Grape & ran them through gunfire strait to the El Fantasma's ship where she 'throw' Grape on bord & ran off without a word. Grape then lived with the crew for a year b4 they finnaly understood what the maid did for them. After that they joined the crew. wanting to fined the maid that rescuded them & to fined & help others.
