I understand.
I work at a grocery store, and lately I have started to speak too softly for my higher-ups to hear me because I feel like they are too likely to gripe at me and to tell me I have to quit after I have said something nice to a customer.
I can't talk to my management or union about it. I don't believe there is much chance that they will care.
