-Should my book's story take place in 19's(<for clothing) or 18's? (< for steampunk)

19s,stone, i think it should really happen,idk about a gay main, if it were my story, i would have a smaller number of freinds, i know a good fake religion for your story, though idk the name, however there is no god, when they die, they just go to a place called the "gates of dark forrest"
