( @Fady Me too. X3 And yeah, it's amazing how the Artifact is still going on strong after such a lengthy temporal period. Most RPs I've participated in only last for a couple to a few sessions before they abruptly fade from existence, and some never even start at all.So yes, it is hard to imagine how this RP, let alone any, will conclude.)

( @Whaley: Yeah, I've seen a lot of roleplays fade away... the three that I am currently in aren't showing any signs of quitting, so I'm glad for that. But with the school seasons coming up, I've been forcing myself to consider which RP(s) I would drop out of if I needed to.)

( @Fady I think that might have to do with the dedicated few who still are willing to be on Colors! because of the special connections they form with fellow artists, as well as, of course, for the love of art itself. That's why more RPs are lasting longer. To show everyone how this is still a great place, in the midst of all the negativity on this site. :3)

(I think my time on Colors! has been analogous to being part of a sheltered, loving family in the middle of world crises. We support each other, do what we love, and don't pay much attention to what most others think. Or don't take much of it to heart, anyway. Next week will be my fourth Colorsversary. :3)

( @Raksha I know what you mean. XC It probably feels empty because of all the artists that have left with noone to truly take their place. I've been around nearly ever since Colors! started, a span long enough for many of the users that were here in the beginning to have graduated or to just lose interest as a result of growing up. They may also have real-world problems to face. Though I think leaving because this is a 'terrible' place is almost an excuse, because many don't want to stop dwelling on the past, so therefore it's nearly impossible for them to have a 'future' here. There are still a lot of good artists, and it's actually quite easy to befriend someone, especially in a place like this. Just be courteous and offer compliments. :3)

Last time everyone finaly regrouped after Malakai encountered a mysterious masked figure who is now searching for them, now they are staying at an in where the group is sharing two rooms, except for Sirius who fell asleep on a couch.

Ahhh sweet! Hey Kole!
Toren fell asleep as soon as his weary head hit the hotel pillow. The days events and current journey exhausting him. He couldn't even care about what else was happening around him.

Meanwhile on the rooftop the unfamiliar figure sat waiting

(SO I HAVE YOU CHEAT! lol)
Toren shifted in his sleep, a bit uncomfortable at how warm it was in the room, but continued to drift In a semi concious state.

The silent stranger began to whistle once more, a cheery little tune drifting across the night sky, like an eery lullaby in the wind.

Avoiding interaction with everyvody, Raven slunk into the room that had been provided him. Upon seeing that there was only one bed, the centaur immediately stated to Fiacail, "I'll sleep on the floor," and retreated to the far corner of the slerping quarters.

(LOL XD Slerping quarters...)

Sirius stared at the figure looming infront of him. He turned to him and beckoned him. Sirius followed through more doors as he entered a strange office. The figure sat down. He motioned his hand as if it was saying "please sit."
Sirius sat down and noted that in this monochromatic dull room there was a gem displayed on the desk, shining with full color unlike everything else.
The figure suddenly pulled out a small gun, but didn't point at Sirius but somewhere behind him off to the side. He heard a gunshot, but it was more like the echo of one. The bullet zoomed through the air, freezing as if it had just hit something.
Sirius then noticed from where the bullet froze blood was coming out, the bullet then moved downward. It's as if it hit an invisible person, who got down to the floor in pain.
Meanwhile on the couch he was still stirring. He mumbled "Why did you do it?" It was barely audible, as if it mattered because no one was around to hear.

"Are you certain you'd prefer to-" Fiacail trailed off upon observing the size of the bed. /Unfortunately lacking in leg-room for any centaur,/ he sighed ever-so-softly. Stroking his thumb against his chin in thought, his eyes drifted to the bedding, then to Raven. Abruptly, he realized how tightly his longcoat seemed to fit at that moment. Was it getting too small? Then the cetacean shapeshifter had an idea, one that had been of use before. "You can borrow my coat if you wish, and I suppose I could do without an excess pillow," he offered, in the hopes that his friend would at least accept that much.

Toren continued to dream, snoring slightly as he drooled on his pillow. His horns kept him from sleeping on his back so he often turned over to sleep on his stomach.

The stranger continued his soft lullaby, knowing that below him aN odd group of beings gathered quietly below.

(I have a question, is Corvell working individually or is he like, a part of some organization, because I am curious :^)

The figure continued to whistle his quiet tune, changing it's rythem in time with the window as it swung open quietly, smoothly. He stood up on his feet at the peak of the buildings rooftop, taking a bow to the moon as if it stayed out in attendance to his performance, he prepared for the arrival of another!

Raven paused, and he turned around to eye Fiacail's offering in consideration, but finally turned away again. "Keep it," he stated. "I've slept outdoors on dirt floors nearly every day of my life. I have learned to live without those kinds of comforts." Without another word, Raven curled up on the wooden floor next to the wall, his back to the cetacean shifter.

(OMG I just realized that Corvell is like Dorian's opposite!)

Sirius panicked not knowing what to do sith the blood collecting on the floor. He stared back at the figure who got up and stared at the gem. It's mouth moved but no word came out. The door slammed open, and then he saw the bullet leave as the doors shut again. The figure approached him and grabbed his shoulder, leading him to a window. Outside the environment had changed, he was up high, as if it was the second or third floor of a building, and in view was luxurious thing, such as a garden with flowers that would likely be beautiful if they had actual color to them, large statues and even beautifully trimmed bushes sculpted into various creatures.
The figure 'spoke' once more, it's mouth silently moving. Sirius didn't know how to respond to the absolute silence, until actual words came from the figure, "stay with me." Sirius backed away from the figure accidentally backing into the window. He phased through and began falling.
He landed in water, he was deep below, he yelled out for help. Bubbles came out guiding him to the surface. On the surface he witnessed a large boat in flames as echoing screams were heard. Everything reamainded black and white except for the flames.

Fiacail hesitated before glancing down at the article of clothing in question, as he'd slipped it off in advance and carried it in an unkempt bundle. "Very well," he finally gave in to Raven's insistence. He strode over to what would be his sleeping platform (best synonym, I know. XD) and slung his coat over one of the two vertical wooden boards that assisted in forming the head of the bed. "In the case you should change your mind at any point during the night, you are welcome to it," he explained, smiling and glancing back over his shoulder. He then slipped off his boots (and made sure the torch in their room was out) and clambered into bed, pulling the snug, almost itchy quilt up to his chest, staring at the ceiling.

Malakai got up, hearing the familiar whistling, he growled. "That bastard's here!" he hissed as he moved beside Adara, "Did Dorian go out?" he sniffed the window and knew the answer, "He'll get KILLED!"

(Anyways ill be gone for who knows how long as it's church time)

"Hahaha" the figure laughed, grasping his mask with taloned hands and slowly raising it up and over his head, the hood falling back to reveal white silver hair in the moon and a young handsome face. "Well, if the price is fitting" he smirked, a serous tone in his melodious voice.

Malakai bared his fangs in a rage and a bit of fear, "He's the hunter! The bird man! He's going to kill him!" he walked over to the window and glanced back at Toren sleeping peacefully, "WAKE UP!" he ran over and pounced on the sleeping dragon

(As usual, Fiacail's oblivious as to whatever climactic plot point is occurring somehow. XD)

Raven neither looked over at his partner nor spoke, but inside, he was grateful for Fiacail's kindness. During all the years that he had lived alone, all interaction with others was business-related and did not include either the exchange or display of emotion. Because of his lifestyle, Raven had nearly forgotten what it was like to be accepted and appreciated, so it touched him when Fiacail showed no apathy or contempt towards him.
As he lay in the darkness of the chamber, Raven stared at his hand in front of him, mulling over the shapeshifter's act of friendliness and working to convinve himself to pick up his attitude the following day.

"Perhaps" the figure smirked, "but I never kiss and tell" he sarcasticly brushed off his jacket. Adjusting his harness strappes. "Though I do here you are in quite the company?" His yellow eyes looking up.

Toren huffed as Malaika punched on him, "what the, leave me be you dwarf" he rolled over still half asleep.

(Sorry for my lateness guys!!! We're just leaving the wedding shower now so I should be home and can plug in my phone before it dies! I'll also be more free to respond and write better stuff)

Malakai got ontop of Toren and leaned close to his ear, "I said WAKE UP!" he yelled at the top of his lungs, "You stupid overgrown lizard!"

"Indeed" his tone reflecting the fading smile from his face as he became more serious. " It's not too often one comes across draconic runes,.. and rarity tends to make things more... valuable." He stood straight now, eyes never straying from the contact they held with Dorian.

"AHHHHHH" Toren jumped out of bed grasping his ears as Malakar toppled off! "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WTH YOU? he roared.

Malakai lay on the floor glaring up at Toren, "The hunter's on the damn roof, I heard his whistling, Dorian's up there too. That's 'What the hell is wrong with me'!" he snapped, looking in the direction of Adara he growled, "You shut up, you let him go! If he dies it's your fault!"

"Oh.... is that true." The harpy casually walked past Dorian looked over the edge of the building above the window. "I suppose your going to stop me then?" He looked over his shoulder and smirked. "I can put a blindfold on if you think it'll help," he laughed to himself.

Toren woke up more as MalakaI spoke, Toren dashed over to the window, hesitant to look out. If it really was a hunter, there's no way he could stop him

Malakai followed behind Toren, stopping to glare at Adara, "Don't burn the whole damn place down, get your swords out and fight! You said you wanted to protect everyone, well? Do you?" he quieted his voice down slightly as he spoke to her

Malakai snorted at her, "Fine" he walked over to the window and stepped onto the ledge, he looked up trying to see what was going on. //Stealth stealth, gotta be stealthy// he started climbing the building slowly

(*shoves Dorian off roof* fly, oh wait...)

(mwahahahhaha)

The stranger watched as Dorian balled his fists. He'd seen it before, the whole valiant hero act. He rolled his eyes and faced Dorian, his hands in his pockets. "Oh please, anything but that" he casually rocked back on his heels. "It's not like you had a chance last time, why risk it this time?" He questioned raising a brow.

"Don't" Toren raised out a hand I front of Adara. "It's not your fault. Just listen.." Toren paused still not lookig out of the window. "If Dorian was being attacked... we would hear something... and if he is being attacked and we don't hear anything.... then we don't stand a chance. Don't risk your lives over mine, and don't blame Dorian s decision on yourself." He whispered as he looked over to adara

(Oh my goodness blood that was hilarious)

(Also, whoops late comment is late! Pretend MalakaI already climbed out and he was stopping and encouraging adara)

Malakai heard Toren, giving the dragon a dirty look he continued to slowly climb up, "I'm going to make sure, if you're too scared, stay there with your tails between your legs" he hissed through gritted teeth

(I'm back! :D @KJ That sounds so cool! It just so happens that I attended a wedding shower on Halloween last year. The theme was steampunk! X3)

The stranger sighed. He stood casually as Dorian approached and then sidestepped to the right to expose a small figure he had heared arguing below, who just reached the rooftop and was pearing over. "And I suppose this shapeshifting dwarf is your backup?" He looked down at MalakaI who was clinging to the side of the building. He sighed again as if bored his mask nestled in his hood on his back and his hair softly shifting in the night breeze. "I have no quarrel with you, and, if you really want to know. None of you happen to be on my contract... at the moment. But I can make aN exception if you really want to fight me." He turned again to look at Dorian, head held high, a slight smile in his face.

Raven had nearly drifted off to sleep until a rising commotion in the neighboring bedroom aroused him. Still half-asleep, he grumbled, "Don't make me come and shut you up myself..."

( @Whaley: No way, that sounds sooo awesome!! QuQ)

Toren flinched at Malakai's words, growling slightly. "I swear I'm going to eat him." /maybe I am afraid.../ toren thought. But he didn't move. He couldn't rum, but he couldn't cave after MalakaI either. He was unsure, would his turn out the same as last time? Would he be the one to end the lives of those he cared for?

(Ahh that's so cool!!!!l

Malakai gave up climbing, "Eat who? You scared chicken!" he mocked Toren, "You're really all bark and no bite Toren, what's the point in being a dragon if you cower at anyone who comes your way" he spat in his direction, "You're so useless"

"Oh you know, just checking in" he smirked. Slowly taking out one of his dual blades and examining it in the moonlight, brushing off the odd speck on its spotless surface. "I'm here for a certain... object. Well that and the fact I'm checking out future prospects, you know, for hunting." He nonchalantly examined his blade.

(No one ever said he was smart, my short tempered boi :'))

Toren growed again, jumpibg out the winow to scale up after malaKai, leacing ADara alone. /ugh im going to regret this/ he thought as he reached for one of malaka is legs./ maybe i can pull him off the roof, oh wait... hes a dam bird that wont work

Fiacail froze at the sound of commotion next door. When it didn't come to a halt, anxious thoughts began to race through his mind as he recognized Malakai's voice and how oddly he'd been acting this evening-odder than usual. He swallowed. "Rave," his voice trembled. "...Perhaps we should check on them. They wouldn't be up at this hour, what with the sort of day we've had, let alone shouting...I fear something may be...amiss." He pulled off the comforter, and got to his feet. He rubbed his face in exhaustion, but fear made him saunter towards the door, and he rotated the knob, wincing as an audible click likened to nearly an echo in the silent room. He stepped into the hallway, and rapped on the nearby door. "Is everything alright in there?" his volume of tone was somewhat above a whisper.

"Awww the big baby is angry" Malakai taunted, trying to avoid Toren's grasp as he continued scaling the wall, he reached the roof and heaved himself up and over.

(OH SNAP THE SUSPENSE)

"Oh I am," he shiethed his blade as he looked up to Dorian being quite serious, "but if the price is right I'm fine with doing the odd the fetching job. Besides, it's only a matter of time before your group gets a bounty worthy of my quality of work. At the moment it's rather low really" he stretched his hands behind his head, ruffling his feathers a little. "I'm just waiting for you to slip up" he poped the p on up he listened to the ongoing events around him.

Raven sighed in agreement before rolling to his feet and following after the whale shapeshifter. He paused behind Fiacail as he knocked on the door, ears trained for unusual sounds.

(Aww, see ya @Raksha! Haha, bad time to leave. ,XD)

Toren was becoming more agitated as MalakaI taunted him, he watched him scale over the edge and attempted to keep up.

He was surprised to see Adara answer."My lady, what's going on?" The phoenix girl's expression hinted the slightest bit of worry, so by now Fiacail knew his affirmations were probably accurate.

(Thou are worthy)

Malakai stood on the ledge, paying no attention to Corvell or Dorian, "Is that the best you're capable of? Pathetic" he gave him a mock grin, but stayed a little too long watching Toren climb

Toren leaped up to grasp the edge of the rooftop.
"Seems rather petty" Dorian shifted his weight nervously, eyeing malaKai to not make any sudden moves. Dorian had an idea of the object in question, but what exactly Corvell's intentions are were unclear,
The stranger shifted slightly over to make room for the ever growing crowd on the rooftops, hardly giving them any attention. "It is" he didn't deny it, "but I'm need of a little extra cash as of late, and it's price is, more than what I'd imagine"

Hnngggg controlling 3 characters is hard!!!!

Malakai stumbled back, falling off the ledge as Toren leaped up, he landed on his butt and quickly tried to scrambled out of his way. //Uh oh, Uh oh!//

(Ahh I had spaces between all of them so you could tell the characters apart but they all blended together ugh)

"O-oh dear..." Fiacail entered, pressed his fingers to his temples, and instinctively took a seat on one of the beds. "What are we going to do? We must think of something. Surely they're in the presence of something dangerous...What if something terrible happens to them?" he paused and looked into his love's gentle gaze. She seemed just as concerned.

Raven stepped into the room and stood a short distance from the two still in the room. "It'd be their fault for walking into the danger like that," he muttered upon hearing Fiacail voice his worries.

(Did-did malaKai fall off the roof? Or just on his but but still on the roof?)

(He's on the roof, he fell off the ledge onto the roof on his butt, if that makes sense)

Sirius swam away from the burning ship as the flames removed themselves from the wreckage. He reached what he would consider land as the flames reformed into a fire red dragon. It flew towards him as the black figure from earlier leaped above him, with a long sword in hand striking the dragon next to the gem heart dealing a fatal blow.
The dragon turned into flames again as the figure gave a threatening glare to Sirius. He ran to him as Sirius closed his eyes bracing for impact.
He opened them after a few moments; the black figure had become white and it's body shape had changed. It was a woman now. The face the same but it was sweeter, the piercing golden gaze was somehow comforting.
The figure reached out her hand out to him, he reached out to grab it but as he did the figure shattered, as if she was made of glass.
Darkness consumed him as he woke up in a panic. The scarf still in his hands.
He got up scared of what had happened, for some odd reason he decided to go outside, he thought a late night run would help clear his mind. As he got outside he heard voices from above, very close by.
He turned to look up at the roof, but alas he couldn't see to the top. He walked to the sides and noticed an open window with familiar faces near it clinging to the roof above it.

"...You're right." Fiacail stood up, inhaled deeply, and breathed out shakily as he shivered for a moment, mustering courage. "Well, I suppose I knew this day did not feel 'done' quite yet." He glanced to the spider centaur for his input, but then jolted as something occured to him,"...On the...r-roof, you said?"

(That is the most epic dream ever. Why can't I have dreams like that?)

(Ahhh ok haha) Toren saw malaKai fall back shimmied up the side of the roof, he stayed low to the edge and looked up at a tall white haired man, his yellow eyes pacing and looking down on his as if an ant had crawled on his boot. He then looked over to Dorian, the serious expression on his face telling him not to move and stay out of it. "Malakai" Toren whispered, not breaking eye contact with the figure, "stay down, and don't do anything stupid" he whispered.

Sirius stepped back giving himself a running start, he might as well join them. He ran to the wall and grabbed onto a windowsill, and with enough force moved up another ledge until he climbed into the open window, greeting those inside the room. "Hi guys, what's going on?"

(Hardcore parkour)

"Nothing I do is stupid" Malakai whispered back, remaining on the roof, he lay there on his hands and knees, feeling rather pathetic to be hiding in plain sight. He bunched his muscles ready to pounce if need be, //We should rip this guy apart! It's 3v1!//

(Welcome back, pedro! :D Your detailed description really created an atmosphere that added to the suspense, for sure!)

(HNNNGGG I may have to go guys! It's dinner and I need to help the fam with setting up.)

"You two go after them if you want," Raven said. He extended his arms downwards, indicating their attention to the spider portion of his centaur figure. "It's not like I'll be of much help up there."

(Ahh I'm so excited to continue next week! Also, it'll let Raksha in on the fun since I don't do Dorian any justice, haha)

He sighed in relief as Adara achieved in helping him calm down somewhat."That's respectable," he nodded, shrugging mildly. "Now, to the roof it is!" he started his way out the window practically blindly, his heart flipping as he almost lost his balance. Fiacail laughed nervously. "Um, I-I may be in need of assistance..."
