Cool, I just wasn't sure if we were going to pretend the scavenger hunt was already over or it had yet to begin.
Tigris was walking around the beach with her familiar Maru wondering who was still at the resort. As the summer was nearing an end, the beach was no longer filled with students as it had once been. "Hey, I think I see someone up ahead." Maru said as she alerted Tigris to figure up ahead.
Saaaaammmmee, especially since Segi was really popular too.
"Is that Adrian?" Tigris asked while shielding her eyes from the sun.
"And his familiar Georgie." Maru confirmed with a nod and a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Maru," Tigris said with a slightly annoyed sigh. "We've been over this. You can't eat or pounce on familiars that are prey animals just because they are prey animals." Oh the joys of having a cat familiar, she thought to herself as the pair made their way over.
"Just seeing who's still here really. It seems like most of the students have left for the summer." Tigris shrugged and looked out toward the near empty beach. Maru readjusted herself on her paws and met Georgie's eyes, determined not to go after the small bird.
I guess we'll just see what will happen in September after enrollment ends.
"My parents were bugging me about choosing another school." Tigris nodded in thought. "I don't really know, the only one that really stands out is Augur Campus. It's a series of islands and while it doesn't have as many classes as Segi it is much larger. Could be a fun adventure." Tigris shrugged again. It was still summer after all, she didn't want to think about school! "Tiny bird" Maru shot back. While both familiars would be somewhat civil by their witch/wizard, they still called each other names.
"They just want to make sure that I apply on time and actually have somewhere to counting going to school. Segi's closure was a surprise to all of us." Tigris said reflecting on the memory, and slightly keeping an eye on Maru. Maru chuckled at Georgie's attempt to be big, "You know I'm larger than you right? Even in this form!"
"What do you see yourself then?" Tigris thought being a witch/wizard was the best thing in the world, so she was curious. What did Adrian want to be? "And I'm the one with the larger brain. After all, cool cat is a compliment while bird brain is an insult." Maru answered smugly.
"Thanks!" Tigris smiled and continued, "I enjoy working with animals as well, although I'm not quite any type of "whisperer"." Maru flicked her tail, but otherwise didn't move.
"Brooms are kind of optional as long as you have some sort of all terrain vechical that can go over long distances, like water and the sky." Tigris thought a little longer, "Then wands are slightly less optional. It depends on the type of magic you're using and how you want to channel it. Wands are the easiest and most common, which is why they are so popular. But it depends on the person." As someone who had previously worked in a wand shop, Tigris was quite know leg able about the subject. Maru understood Georgie's intended and stared back, "Pawlease, as if you could win."
"Well my mom didn't believe I had any magical talent and my dad thought I should be responsible and pay for my own wand if I was magic. So he got me a job at his friend's wand shop and I worked there for a few years before I showed a decent amount of magical ability. I learned a lot working there." Tigris looked down at her shoes, she didn't really like remembering how little faith her mother had in her at first.
"If you were something other than a tiny yellow birb, I might agree." Maru admitted and purposefully calling Georgie a birb.
"It was mainly grunt work and eavesdropping, but yeah. I had a good time working there." Cleaning shelves and running a cash register wasn't much at the time, but she had been able to become friends with the other employees. They taught her some of the basics and she listened to how the wand makers described the wands as if they were people.
"No no, a birb is a tiny little bird. Which is exactly what you are." Maru said insulting is size once again.
"Yeah, I have. Having a wand helped channel my magic and with practice I was able to get better and stronger with it. I'm mean, I'm still not that great and sometimes I freeze up, but I can actually do stuff with magic now!" Tigris clasped her hands together in excitement. She loved magic.
"Until you either get a new insult or until the humans stop talking." Maru said quite matter of factly.
"Yeah of course man! It's a lot better starting at a new school if you already know someone. That is, if we go to the same school in the fall?" While Adrian had kind of confirmed of going to Augur, Tigris wanted to be sure.
Maru kept smiling, knowing the silence would irritate Georgie.
(I think this will be my last post for the night. Nice rping with you!)
Hi @yourlocalfreaksh0w I'm a little curious, why have you decided to comment on this post? Its from 2016 and for an old rp group that is (my knowlege) no longer a thing.
@yourlocalfreaksh0w My apologies for not being clear. I know rp groups are still a thing general, (I'm in a few myself on other sites). What I meant was this post was originally made for those in the #stsr rp group and that the #stsr group died almost seven years ago. It doesnt make sense to me why someone would comment on this post now. Which is why I was trying to ask about your intentions on commenting on this post. In my mind, since so much time has passed, this chat room has been unoffically closed. So I was curious what your thoughts were behind commenting. Also sorry if this is a lot! I know I can ramble on sometimes...

Augur Campus, Oakwood set it up. I'm sending Tigris and Maru there once I update their ref.
"Hi Adrian! How's it goin'?" Tigris waved and smiled in response.
"Hi guys." Maru purred still eyeing Georgie as a meal.
"Maru, please." Tigris shook her head before continuing, "I will pick you up of you start to pounce."
"Fine," Maru rolled her eyes, and sat down.

Maybe once school has picked back up again?

"Animal trainers are pretty cool. Or you could be a falconer, or rescue and save endangered species." Tigris suggested, unsure of exactly what to say.
"Ha!" Maru smiled like a cheshire in her victory. "Purrfect victory I'd say." She added, not to be outdone with cat puns.
(Puns are the best!)
