ok so:
the girl is called nina - she's an inventor, and she's very shy, but once she's friends with you she doesn't shut up and insists on making you stuff to help you out

the big guy is called rho, and he's super defensive of nina - but if you're ok with her, he's a big sweetheart and he'll let you ride on him
he can't talk, so he communicates through beeps, whirrs, gestures, and rudimentary sign language (only having three fingers doesn't help)
