School is fun compared to adult life! Who's this someone? And 10th grade already?

A special friend I've been crushing on since 6th grade, even if I wasn't always aware of it myself. ^-^ I owe you one, Ceta, for reminding me not to let that special person in your life go, even if you're not "attracted" to them. I was scared to start dating at first, and wanted to be sure it was him, so I tested out 3 more possible candidates, and while I've managed to befriend each of them in a special way, I now know why I couldn't develop a romantic relationship with them. One was kind, thoughtful and funny, but didn't respect my beliefs; an ideal partner loves everything about you and it doesn't matter to them who you are. The second was troubled and confused (he said he was gay, but I've also seen him kiss a girl), but had a pure heart deep down and loved art like I did, the only problem being the kinds of friends he hangs out with: I'd constantly be in danger. I'll always be his friend, and he never seems to forget me when I do talk to him one-on-one, but a relationship

shouldn't be about lust. And lastly, the third was passionate about his instrument (he played violin like me) and loved making people happy. He also loved photojournalism, and therefore knew the best way to be a part of an event whilst capturing moments people will treasure forever. I scarcely ever talk to him, as we don't have any classes together, but also because, in a way, it was kind of intimidating and weird. Despite being only a little more than a year older than I, he was more of a respectable mentor than anything else, and he enjoyed teaching the freshmen how to play our all-region music. If I ever come to truly befriend him, it'll be honorable indeed, but that's probably as far as we'll ever get, and I accept that now. ^-^ So, I'm back where I began. But noone has been with me through thick and thin as much as much as my aforementioned special best friend has. He just will need to remember my vocations: that we might not marry if I'm planning to become a nun, but

the experience will be well worth it. :3 We'll use our companionship to remind everyone what a relationship is really supposed to be about. A best friend that you kiss and hold hands with, and are loyal to the end.

I wish I could share your enthusiasm, but my study schedule is going to be so incredibly cramped this year that my anxieties overwhelm all other emotions. 'XD God'll get me through it all though - He arranged everything and put me in this particular co-op for a reason, after all.

Maybe we can agree focusing on being friends is the best way and if romance just happens then it happens. After all, friendship and romance have the same basic qualities: trust, closeness, mutual connections, enjoying being with the other. How to tell the difference between the two can be vague and is up to the individuals involved. Like, my boyfriend and I have a very strong friendly basis but we have physical gestures unlike the standard for friendship
