Appearance details:
Before her corruption, Eira had a Golden Eagle griffon form with gorgeous golden-brown feathers on her upper body and wings. Some of her original feathers remain now, but they have paled and lost their former beauty. The spines along her neck and shoulder are made of ice mixed with dark minerals, and a layer of frost coats her plumage. Cold steam seeps from her beak and the slits on her right flank.
Weaknesses:
(Because an out-of-control alternate beast form is way too cliche,) Eira has a reasonable extent of control of her consciousness ib griffon form, but there a number of risks to using it. An icy film has developed over her right eye, making her vision blurry and unfocused.

Due to this, she can easily mistake an ally for an enemy, or vice-versa. Eira predicts that if she lets the darkness complete its corruption process, she will turn into a mindless raging beast, although she has no proof of such. However, as it continues to spread, the dark magic meddles with her nerves, causing her body to jerk sporadically and lash out without warning. If she were to stand close to an ally when a spasm occured, she could hurt them without the intention to do so.

Strengths:
Despite the dangers of using her griffon form, Eira is a deadly fighter, partially due the black magic in her (but she has always had a hawk-like ferocity as a griffon). Any life form that her claws pierce will slowly begin to freeze, and the only way to stop the ice is to apply fire or severe its path.

Her reflexes are lightning-fast, and she is quick in flight. As if to make up for her lack of size (about 7' at the head), she is packed with power and ferocity, although, as the darkness spreads, she seems to grow bigger. However, so far, she has grown very little, as she has not assumed the form in nearly four years.
Recap/Summary:
The heart of Eira's griffon form is infected with darkness, which leaks into her bloodstream and further corrupts her body whenever she assumes the form. Although it is maneuverable and fitful for battle, the risks of harming both friend and foe are too high. But the main reason Eira refuses to shift is that she fears, should the darkness completely consume her consciousness, she will forever become a mindless monster and a threat to the Land of Dreams.

AAAH DUDE SHE'S FUCKING BADASS! I'm inlove with her re-design, I can't wait for when she shifts in the RP! I may have to draw her again one of these days!

I have no idea how you come up with stuff like this, but it looks amazing! Love the amount of detail and thought you put into her backstory and how she ended up like this.

Re: It's no problem, Fade ^-^ Though... now I have a problem in SKeys concerning you-know-who... If you'll look back on several of my pictures of him, you'll see that he wears the skull of his former friend, who he killed. I never, ever wanted to make it a very graphic scene, in fact I never even planned on showing the beheading itself, rather just the aftermath, but I'm just worried after what you said yesterday. If I just wrote it as, "So-and-so's head appears to be missing," would that be alright, or no? It's just that we've done so much to allow you to join, I'd feel awful if something happened that made you want to quit, especially if it was something I'm responsible for... ;-;

Re: it actually isn't as bad as I expected! My mom told me to sleep but I couldn't, so I've been playing games on my 3DS and eating ice cream. I just woke up super early (something like 6:45 AM here) and can't fall back asleep which sucks. The good news is I'm feeling better this morning with no medicine in my system than I did yesterday with pain meds, so I think it's getting better already :)
