Backstory: As a willing guinea pig to the military scientists of Canada, Amanda was subject to mutation of crossbred species: placing the DNA of fossilized dragon blood into a female human. It was presumed to not work, with dragons being extinct and impossible to recreate.
This was obviously not the case when Dovah shrieked in pain as dragon wings sprouted from her back, and nearly had a death combo from cardiac arrest and blood loss. Rushing to her aid, one scientist snuck some of Wolverine's Healing Factor DNA into her system. He was caught, but saved the life of who is now known as: Project DOVAH-GIRLIE.
It is still unknown how the dragon's DNA was not rejected.
