so you guys already know I work with pastel colors in my drawing :-) well recently, I've been wanted to work with more... what do you call it..,solid? more bright colors, if you know what I mean.
I've always wanted to use bright colors in my drawings but they would always end up pastel :-( BUT HEY LOOK, I KINDA DID IT I MEAN IT DOESNT LOOK PASTEL
[which do you guys prefer?]
solid or pastel?
I would like to know cuz I want to improve in my drawings m(_ _)m

I can totally relate to that inability to use solid, flat colors (more than most of my drawings are pastel :'^) but I think the way you use both bright and soft colors is just fine!
(You can do what you feel is best for a specific drawing of course or what you feel would work best for your art style)

Maybe you could use both. Pastel colors for happy or bubbly characters, and solid colors for more serious characters.

^aah i agree, i think it would depend on the character/mood of the drawing,,
i personally love your pastel style tho ahaha//

I'm the total opposite, I tend to use more bright colors and have trouble drawing pastel colors
I think both styles of coloring look great :3

wow thanks for the suggestions guys! it really helped me a lot! *v*)9 I actually never thought about using both, idk why x'D My mind was focused on using only one coloring style asdfghji I'll see what works best for me but I'm planning to go with what you guys suggested, using both depending on the type of picture and characters I'm going to draw. thanks you guys<3
