Shades eyes are the colors they were when they had human bodies. Some shades do wear clothing. Some can change into a human form. All shades are necromancers, but if they were, let's say, a pyromancer when they were alive, then they're both. Shades with eyes like Will's can remember being alive. Ones with no white pupils can't. Ones with black pupils and gray eyes can't remember who they are (cont v)

cont- AT ALL. They're dangerous, and usually beyond help. Some shades have horns, wings, and/or tails. All shades have three claw-like fingers. Shades can appear invisible to the living, unless they experience frequent hallucinations. Shades feed off negative feelings, like fear, sorrow, and anger. Some like normal food, too! Light magic hurts them most. They can hide in shadows, including yours, though their eyes can be seen occasionally. Despite being associated with death, most shades are kindhearted and only want to help. They're cold to the touch if they don't like you, but warm, like they're alive, if they do.

oh and any scars (including the wound that killed them) appear as white, a bit glowy.
