So what's great:
-I recently got a new rechargable battery for my 3DS. From that, I won't need to worry about keeping the 3DS charger in my device! ; D
-From that, I won't need to get a new 3DS -- at this point. We'll see what the future holds for it... ; )

To Super Yoshi: Yeah. So let me explain what happened:
It was around mid-June of this year when my 3DS' battery kept losing juice quickly [it was at about 5 minutes from full charge 'till the red LED started flashing]...
As that was going on, the back cover of the device began to warp outward on the right side, where it turns out, the battery was at that side...

To Super Yoshi (Cont.):
Until I unscrewed and removed the back cover, I couldn't tell what 3DS was broken of my 3DS... ; /
It was then on Saturday when my 3DS suddenly turned off without warning -- even with the charger cable inserted since that was the only way to combat the dying battery...
After many attempts to turn the system back on with no success, I finally removed the back cover and realized that the old rechargable battery was puffy and looked like it would "explode" if I tried using it more! 8U

To Super Yoshi (Cont.):
Thankfully, Amazon sold 3DS rechargable batteries and I ordered one. It took less than a day to receive the new battery [which I'm still astounded about!]! : O
I then successfully inserted the new battery into my device and [after checking the manual], it now works just like new again with all my games, purchases and save data intact! : D
I did need to reset the date and time, but that wasn't hard to do. : P
And that's what has been going on with my 3DS recently! CX

*It took less than a 'week' for the new battery to arrive...

*I wasn't sure 'what parts' of my 3DS were damaged when it suddenly turned off.
