Cheshire's talent allows him to vanish slightly to avoid dettection in the dark. However this talent is useless in the light. It works even better when the moon is easily visible or full in the night sky.

After being on the run from authorities for stealing illegal magic tomes, he found himself lost, running into a group of three ponies, one of which he was trying to avoid. Except things took an unexpected turn after realizing just who the other two were, and quickly became friendlier to them.
Cheshire is able to use magic the "traditional" way, by reading tomes. However he can only propperly perform illusion spells and summon mimics to confuse others.
He's a master thief and can defend himself as he travels in dangeous tarritory with knives or daggers if available. If not, he takes the way of the coward, usually running the first chance he gets.
