A dwarfy beard
Both dwarven women and men possess beards, and these beards are used to display status and wealth. The working class can't have beards since they could easily get caught in the complex machinery that these people built long ago. Nobles are free to have long beards since they don't really do anything but sit and talk. /XD

....Makes sense. (thinking of a beardless dwarf is hard. Do they at least get to keep short facial hair?)
