The creature lives in a toxic version of our world then when the dimensional barriers had been broken it can break away from its territory and hunt in the same area without the need for finding the rift. In fact it makes its own to hunt down beings amd animals. The creature doesn't live in packs. But it is stealthy and must be killed on sight. The monster will eventually kill off a populis without being killed or "contained." for however long that lasts.

at least the thing has a consideretable story
