A little backstory of her cause why not

Everyone Mina has ever loved rehected her. They told her she was too different, she wasnt a shapeshifter, she had no powers, etc. Because of this, she only admits she likes people through letters and notes. But people still reject her. Mina still keeps the reject leters her crushes sent her so she knows what she did wrong and how to fix it.
She thinks that if she could shapeshift, people would like her more.
