Verena: *All her tasks completed for the day, she makes her way to the outskirts of camp, hoping for some peace and quiet. Though she was allowed to go on a break, there was still one thing she was asked to do, which was to inform a fellow soldier, named Jin'say of an upcoming gathering the troops were holding. She wanders into a peaceful meadow, and lets out a deep breath*
Jin'say: *Leaning against a shady tree, he sits calmly, and breathes in the fresh air. He had told everyone that he had gone to meditate in hopes of avoiding being disturbed, but nevertheless, the sound of footsteps approaching draws closer. He doesn't look up, figuring they'd speak up if they needed him, or leave if they didn't notice him*
V: *It doesn't take her long to notice a presence nearby. She assumes it's another soldier, but grows cautious. She spots a man not too far away, and walks closer. As she does, she notices the fine, silky robes he wears, the intricate scabbard at his side, his long brown hair tied back in a ponytail, and rolls her eyes. Surely he must be the heir to some noble family* Hey, Silkworm! What on Earth are you doing out here?
J: *He calmly opens his eyes, and looks up at her* Couldn't I ask the same of you? *He chuckles* This is a lovely place to take a break, as I'm sure you gathered. *He stands, and dusts himself off, before holding his hand out to her* Oh, but pardon me, you must be the thief girl. Verena, right? I'm Jin'say. It's nice to properly meet you.
V: *She recognizes his name as the guy she was told to find. She had been told he'd gone to meditate, but when she saw him, he clearly wasn't doing that. She scoffs at his gesture, and turns away, before speaking reluctantly* Jin'say, huh? I've been looking for you, actually. There's going to be a party for a few of the soldiers, and you were invited. Shall I assume you'll be participating?
J: *He maintains his laid-back demeanor* A gathering, huh? I guess it has been awhile since we had a good break from battle... Sounds nice. Count me in! *He gives her a thumbs up*
V: Huh.. *She bites her thumb, as she studies him* Honestly, I don't think you really deserved to be invited *She says bluntly* You obviously haven't contributed to helping out the army today. *She looks him up and down, at his silky robes, not a drop of sweat on him* And don't you dare pull your meditation crap on me, because I know that's not what you were doing when I first saw you.
J: *He laughs, and tilts his head, realizing how sharp she is* Eh? Well, thanks for letting me know anyway. Even though you could've left me in the dark. *He stretches his arms before gesturing to his scabbard* If it makes you feel any better, I've had my sword with me to watch out for enemies that may have approached camp! *He chuckles, not betting she'd buy it if he tried to act serious*
V: *She laughs bitterly* Wow, Silkworm, that's just sad. *She gives him a cruel smile, and clicks her tongue* Do you take me for and idiot or something? Because I'm not. *she glares in annoyance* You've obviously been lazing around all day, I mean, look at you! It's clear you haven't done a thing... *She frowns* Just because you're some noble, doesn't mean you have the right to live a life of luxury day and night. We're all comrades here, and all take an equal amount of work which has to be done, which includes you... Are you saying you prioritize your own selfish needs before the people in the army? Because it sure seems like it.
J: *He yawns, unphased by her lecture* Aw, come on, I was just joking. I'm not here because of my social status, if that's what you're thinking. If that were the case, then I would probably be lounging in a latrine! *He laughs, and looks around the meadow* I was just enjoying the weather. In times like these, you never know when you're last day is going to come along. If that's the case, I don't want to take a beautiful day for granted.
V: *She winces at every word that leaves his mouth* I guess I can see why you'r

(Continued) you're alone. You're obnoxious as hell. You're here because you're incapable of working. You're too lazy to carry out any task. Don't give me some stupid weather bullcrap. This is war for crying out loud! Of course every day could be our last! But we can't just hang around being lazy like you! Where would we be then? *she pauses, before speaking again, this time with disgust* You're a noble. They're digusting, repulsive, loathesome. Every last one of them. And you're a great example. You're all the same. You live a life where everything is practically given to you at your feet. You never have to work hard to get something, and you're admired by so many people just because you're rich. You're so full of yourselves, and automatically belittle everyone around you because you think you're so much better. But you know what? You're not. You're nothing but the scum of the Earth that deserves to rot in hell!
J: *He remains composed, not offended by her rant, but his smile had vanished* Well, there's one thing you're wrong about, my being a noble. But I'd be lying if I said I don't know where you're coming from. However, if you put it that way, I could say the same about you. You live a filthy, shameless life, therefore, you and every other thief are filthy and shameless. *He turns towards camp, but stays where he stands* But I won't say that. Because I know it's not true. Glass half full, and all that. *He shrugs, and starts walking* In any case, I thank you for coming to find me. I'm finished meditating, so I guess I should go see what I can help with! *He chuckles, and waves without looking back*
V: *She continues to glower in his direction* Perhaps we all are.. *She mumbles to herself, not agreeing with him about what he said being untrue. Without more to say on the matter, she waits until he is out of sight before disappearing in another direction*
