Asking all the tough questions, aren't you?
Kaji's parents are, admittedly, speciesist, and would rather have their son be friends with kids whose adoptive parents aren't Naughts.
Kaji's mom doesn't want him in photo shoots anymore, as his weight can be bad rep for his dad's gym. They also don't want many people knowing about his Fear Core, as other Cores have a tendency to be scared of, and avoid, Fear Cores.

I always thought Kaji was really close with his family? Was that not true/changed?
I know now his mom's a meanie sometimes but what about his dad?

Kaji's dad is nicer to him, but Cerberus is kind of a pushover, so if Lotus is getting onto Kaji about something, he usually doesn't speak up to defend Kaji.
Plus Cerberus is uncomfortable around Naughts, so that part is the both of them.
Kaji wasn't close to Percy during childhood, but as the series progresses they get closer. :0

Oh, huh, I guess he wasn't as close as I thought.
Pfff I find it interesting for them of all people to be "naughtphobic" seeing there's some clear mixbreed in all of them, as opposed to someone like Smokey or earlier Corium families, (or perhaps they were too)
