The robot stared at its hands in shock. It looked up at Copper with a scared expression. It stepped back and waved its hand for Copper and Platinum to stay back.

"OHOHOHO!" Robotnik chortled from behind the screen. "This wasn't what I expected, but this is a tremendous outcome! Finally, I have Core back in my grasps!"
Core turned around to the source of the voice and shook her head.

"Of course, now all I have to do is brainwash you and-" there was a rapid tapping noise. "WHY ISN'T THE GAS RELEASING?" came Robotnik's pitiful screams.

Core became excited at the fact that she couldn't be controlled and in her joy and rebelliousness, she shot a lazer blast from her hand at the screen.

The computer screen cracked down the middle and promptly shattered. Core became distraught at this, having a natural love and affinity for technology.
Copper, Core, Platinum, and Darkness became shocked when they saw what was behind the screen.
It was Robotnik.

"Eggman!" Copper screamed, rushing towards him. She pinned him down and put her titanium hand on his face and crushed it, hopefully snuffing out the electricity flowing through the data chip that contained his life.

Then, unexpectedly, Robotnik's voice rose again. "OHOHOHO! AHAHAHA! FUFUFUFUFU! YOU THOUGHT!" he screeched in laughter from an unknown place. "That was a decoy. You'll never find me." he said sinisterly. "I'll get you, someday, Iblis." and the voice cut out, never to be heard again.

Copper turned to Core. "How did he know I'm Iblis?" she asked, scared of the thought.

Core shrugged.
"We have to get you free of this metal suit. How did this happen, anyway? I thought you were an android?" Copper asked. Core shrugged again.

But now, with the roboticization process, she was fully metal. No part was organic like with her supposedly android form.

Core paced around the room in deep thought for an hour while Copper played with Platinum. Then finally, the robot had an idea.

She had no idea how to convey it, so she just grabbed Copper and Platinum's hands and ran throughout the building. There were times where she had to avoid Palmy and Bonfire's clutches, but in the end, they made it to a heavily guarded room. It had countless doors and locks.

Core decided, with a crack of her robotic knuckles, that she'd blast the door open. She hheld her hands out and shot a huge blast, blowing all of the locks and doors away.

Core, Copper, and Platinum walked into the room. Strangely enough, the doors and locks turned into rings.

As they delved deeper into the room, it got darker and darker. Thankfully, a white glow illuminated the room once they were a few feet in. It was the white emerald. Core held it in her palms, and, with a flash of white light, she was freed from her robotic prison.

"CORE!" Copper screamed, running over to her and envolping her significant other in a huge bear hug.

Their happiness didn't last long as some familiar voices rang out.

"THEIFS!" it was the fox lady. She ran over to Core and reached for the emerald, but Core held it above her head, being taller than the fox.

"Palmetto," Bonfire huffed. He had just gotten there and had to sit down from running. "did you know-gasp-there are people trying to-gasp-steal the-gasp-chaos emerald?" he fainted from tiredness.

Author's Note: I love bonfire srry. Also... you may have noticed Palmetto is here. I wonder where she was from... (cough cough, Sliat's Story, cough) And the metal into rings is a reference to the source of Core's powerset. I wonder where I've heard of robots to rings in a Sonic game..... Shadow the Hedgehog? No... different game with aliens. No! NOT SONIC CHRONICLES!
