UPDATE 7/17/18: This tutorial is very outdated, and I might have gotten some things wrong and a lot of things were worded very awkwardly. This is also very lengthy, and most things were based from personal experience (when everyone uses their own different ways to draw!). Also I'm not very experienced in making tutorials. That being said, try to enjoy this anyway if you're watching this now! Lol.

This isn't "EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SHADING!!" but I hope the tips are helpful. This is how I shade.
(Mostly aimed for beginners)
EDIT: Sheit. When I said "the shading looks really ragged," I actually meant "really JAGGED." I'm always mixing up my words.

Wow. I was wondering if you'd bring colored shading into this. :0 Like, my art immediately elevated three levels up when I discovered its inert superiority to black n' white shading.
Superb tutorial, m8. I'll probably try this stuff out on my next painting.
