Jaqi didn't like Seon's look.
"Ideas? What kind of ideas?"
"I'll let you know when you NEED to know." She patted the shorter female's head as if she were a child which earned her a scowl from the dark haired vampire. She opened her mouth to protest but Seon cut her off again.
"Where's Zak? He's usually on luandry duty with us..." She said peeking around the dryers into the washer area just to make sure he hadn't come in late.
He wasn't there.
Jaqi followed her gaze.
"That is weird. There's no way he got in trouble or anything... unless..." Both of the exchanged looks. They needn't speak it aloud. They both knew the only alternitive was if he'd gotten hurt...

Zak and Nate shuffled out of the cells after their first meeting with Ronaharee. Niether looked too assured.
They walked with no more than the shuffle of their feet for noise. Nate's head pointed down and Zak looping his shirt into the neckline to form a halter.

"........you missed laundry today....." Nate finally broke the aching stillness between them. Zak eyed him but was quick to put back on his masking smile.
"Yeah I did! Whoops! The guards are not going to be pleased."
"....because he hurt you..." He said referring to Gregor.
Zak sighed.
"Look Nate, we're not ignorant here. This is prison. People get hurt. So long as it's just him it saves me a lot of trouble. Don't go and make a bigger deal out of it than nessary. Just... be glad you bunk alone..."
Nate gave no answer, Zak clapped his shoulder. "How about we take the rest of free period in the rec. room? I play a mean game of chess." He went on trying to ease his buddy.
Again Nate padded on stoic, but eventually surrendered a nod of approval.
"Perfect." Zak pointed them toward the area and made their way there.

Seon and Jaqi finished up at the laudry station as the period turned from work to free time.

The girls headed for the infirmery looking for their petite male companion, however, he was nowhere to be found. Most of the beds were completely empty. They ducked out before the on duty nurse could be bothered to give a single fu.ck.
"He's either in adminerstration kissing a$$ or the rec. room." Seon said looking at Jaqi who gave her a nervous smile.
"I'll check the office. You... might... I'll check the office." She said holding Seon's arm as if blocking her from going. Seon frowned.
"What? It's not my fault that paper jockey woman in there can't keep her thoughts to herself... I was just straightening her out." She retorted crossing her arms indignently.
"Ooooor confirming her suspetions of you being an aggressive bi.tch..."
".....Don't you have an office to get to?" Seon seethed at Jaqi who was already hurrying away from her.
Seon glared after her but made her way toward the rec. room.

As she finally got into the table top room it was easy to spot Zak and Nate.

The two pale haired males were playing chess right by the entrance door. Zak winning but going easy on the younger oppenent. Seon smiled at them but reached out to pinch Zak's ear hard.
"You weren't at laundry today you little sh.it..." She said all sing song despite Zak's owws of protest as he flailed his arms pathetcally.
Nate watched on a second before inserting himself.
"Greggor was tearing him up..." His flat tone drawing in Seon's attention.
"During work period? Doesn't he usually only do that at night? Zak, you can't let him take away your earnings from work..." She said all big sister like.
Zak rubbed his assaulted ear. "It was just this once! You both need to calm down. It's not a big deal..."
"He's doing it in the morning too..." Nate pushed in.
"Zak!" Seon said glaring at the vampire.
"Nate!" Zak aimmed at the human.
Nate just saddly eyed Zak. "My cell is right beside yours. Anything that happens in there I hear it ok?" He said with no kind of excuse in it.

"Zak... this is getting out of hand..." Seon tried to rub his shoulders but he'd had enough.
"Stop! You're both blowing this out of preportion!" He pulled away from Seon and stomped out.
She watched him awhile as he went but looked back over at Nate. An idea blooming in her head, like a thorny bush...
"You guys are dealing with Greggor, well, I have a problem of my own. Maybe we can help each other..."
Nate looked less sure. "What do you mean?"
Seon sat wherd Zak had and looked over the chess board.
"I'm saying, if you have a problem," she wagbled the king piece knocking over several matching colored pawns. "and I have a problem," she waggled the queen piece again, knocking over other similer colored pieces. "instead of trying to handle them ourselves alone, perhaps we can make them take each other out..." She tapped the queen and king together and tossed them both down toward Nate.
He looked at the chess pieces then back up at Seon.
"What do you have in mind?"

I wonder what they're plotting... an escape, perhaps? You write so well though! Since I'm so sensitive, I had to replace a couple of words but I guess that'd suit the story, right?
