- Chapter 5 -

The sun had begun to rise and Wraithella was awake, watching it rise in silence. Sinatra trotted up beside her and sat down, talking quietly so he wouldn't wake anyone.
" Wraithella..? Are you okay..? I-... heard you crying last night. " He said, and Wraithella just stared out at the city. " You should be asleep Sinatra. " She said and he looked up at the mare. " She meant a lot to you, didn't she..? " He asked. Wraithella sighed. " Of course she did... She was my best friend... I should have been able to save her. " She answered and Sinatra fell silent for several minutes before she spoke up again. " It's hard trying to keep on a happy face when all you see is death and destruction around you... "
Sinatra nodded slowly, agreeing with her. " What do you do to keep going..? " She asked him. Sinatra thought for a long moment before shrugging. " I don't know... " He mumbled.

Later, once everyone was awake, Alexla spoke with DarkSage in private, figuring out their next move.
" We can't leave her out there. We have to look for her. " Alexla told him and Sage grunted, shaking his head. " Do you realize how massive this city is? It's impossible to search for one pony in the ruins of an abandoned city. She could be anywhere and we don't even know where to begin searching. I want her back, but at the same time we need to think about what we're risking if we do go looking for her. "
" So we leave her to die?! " Alexla scoffed and T.S slowly trotted up to them, a guilty look on his face. " T.S, we're busy right now. Please wa- " DarkSage was cut off. " No, it's important. I haven't been compleatly honest with you... I was with a small group of my own before finding you... I got seperated I've been trying to find them. If you can help me find them, I'm sure they'd be willingn to lend you their strength. " He told them. Alexla and DarkSage exchanged glances.

" And who are these ponies? " Alexla asked.
" We were a small band of "freedom fighters", you could say. We were defending a small safe haven we had set up for ponies who were looking for safety. When it fell, most of us were killed and we fled. I went the wrong way from the other four members who escaped and went deep into the city. i ended up at the edge of it where I met you. We all have the same enemy so they'd be willing to help. ... With a little convincing. " T.S explained, and DarkSage sighed.
Alexla flicked her tail, deep in thought. " I say we go look... T.S, I want you and Wraithella to hunt down your old team. DarkSage, I'm going with you to help find TeslaGlow. " She told him, and he nodded, turning to the others. " GrayShade, you're in charge of Blue, Velvet and Sinatra. We're headind out. " He said.
With that, they got their things together and headed back into the city, going their seperate ways.

TeslaGlow was cowering in the corner of the room as TrinitySpark laughed, twirling her whip and trotting closer to her. " Let's try this again. Who owns you now..? " She said with a slight grin.
BlackRose was forced to watch, the end of her chain being held by Trinity's magic as she tortured TeslaGlow. She stayed silent and winced with each lash and shriek of pain from Tesla, driving the mare to tears. All Rose could do was close her eyes and flinch with each sound.
" Y-you do... " TeslaGlow mumbled, looking up at her with pure fear in her eyes. " Exactly. And who do we obey no matter what like a good girl..? " TrinitySpark asked, looking ready to lash at her again and TeslaGlow let out a terrified speak. " Y-you! " She said quickly, trembling.
TrinitySpark grinned at her, putting a hoof under her chin, forcing her to look at her. " That's a good girl... You'll learn one day... " She chuckled and raised the whip again.

She suddenly had a slightly surprised look on her face and her ear twitched, hearing something from another room down the hall. She groaned and yanked on BlackRose's chain, choking her and putting the whip between her teeth. " Do this for me, would you deer. If you don't, you'll get the rest of her punishment for being naughty... " She warned and trotted out of the room, slamming the door behind her. TeslaGlow looked up at Rose who looked down at her with a pitiful look on her face. " D-do it... " Tesla mumbled, and Rose dropped the bloodied whip, shaking her head. " I won't do it... " She said. " I'm not going to hurt you... " Rose took a step back and gulped, realizing she would soon regret her decission.

TrinitySpark slowly made her way into a dimly lit room, the only light coming from a computer monitor that was blacked out until two glowing red streaks appeared, resembling eyes.
" You do pick the worst times to contact me me, darling. I was having fun just now. " TrinitySpark said, and a strange, slightly twisted robotic voice came through. " TrinitySpark. I'm only here to warm you about this once as I know you will deal with them. You have ponies trying to rescue their friend from you. Do not underestimate these ponies. And do not dissapoint me... "
TrinitySpark chuckled. " Hm hmm... When have I ever dissapointed you..? " She said, and the two eyes just stared at her before suddenly vanishing, and she returned to the room Rose and Tesla were in.

The door opened and TrinitySpark shook her head, levitating the whip from Rose and let out a slight growl. " Rose... Here I thought I taught you well. I guess you're just as dissobedient as I thought you were. " She said, sounding dissapointed and struck Rose across the face with a strong hoof and sent her to the ground. TeslaGlow let out a shocked gasp and Rose gave her a look, and Tesla held her tongue. TrinitySpark lashed at Rose, drawing blood from where she punished her. Blood dripped from Rose's mouth and she shook, cowering on the ground. " I-I'm sorry... I won't do it again... " She said, and TrinitySpark looked at her, unamused. " You're right. You won't. Because if you do, I'll make sure to make this as painful as possible... " She said, her horn glowing and a thorned vine began to grow around Rose's legs. The thorns grew into her and the vines squeezed her tightly. They twisted around her body and she felt like she was being crushed.
" Stop! " TeslaGlow shouted.

She quickly slapped her hooves over her mouth. TrinitySpark released the spell, glaring at TeslaGlow now. " What was that..? " She asked, standing over her.
TeslaGlow's heart pounded and she struggled to find her words. " I-I'm s-sorry... I d-didn't mean t-to... I'm s-sorry... P-please... I beg you... N-no mo- " TeslaGlow let out a pained cry as she was lashed across the face and she began sobbing, blood running down her muzzle.

" Let this be a lesson to both of you... Nopony crosses me... " She told them, locking them both in the room, leaving them there.
