@Shadow Perhaps you could post for BlackIce first? I plan on starting with Maldius arriving at his fortress, so if Ice is going to figure out the pool and see him coming, you'll have to post for BlackIce before I post for Maldius :p

Blackice after coming down from a fit of rage, he grumbled to himself and laid down and gaze into the pool he noticed the water began to Ripple, he look and I noticed one of his Talons in the pool " interesting..." he focus on the purple liquid and a figure begin to show "is that Lorde Maldius! What is he coming back?!!" He notice and I see scene

Alfred had his left talons on his right shoulder, yellow glowing liquid began to run down his arm. he did a half-hearted chuckle "looks like I spring a leak..." he smile at Nikita "would you be so kind and grabmy bag for me" he pointed with his tail in the direction. the bag was laying close to Teresa

Noxaura watched Nanashi leave then turned to Ardens. "How are we going to get these two back? They need to be properly treated." She looked down at Macgyver and Azureus with an unreadable expression.

Macgyver stirred in the grass, letting out a groan. The tip of his tail set on fire, and his eyes opened. Mac sat up, looking exceptionally pale and exhausted.

"Er- What did I miss?"

Bored of wandering through Solaris, Crowley took off and flew above the city, intending to find Prince Erwen.

{Ardens sits quietly for a moment.}"Well, looks to me like one of us has to go to Solaris for help while the other looks after these two. But, should it be you or me?"{Azureus weakly picks up her head.}"Ardens, you should carry Mac back. He needs medical attention far more than I do."{Ardens thinks for a moment.}"Alright, I'll take him. Nox, can you stay here?"

Nanashi hearing the conversation as he was walking away folded his ears back and turned around he didn't like the idea that they will probably go to the city but he knew they might need his help, and he wanted to make sure Mac was ok

(Discard my comment please, Mac isn't awake yet)

Noxaura nodded. She looked over at the books hesitantly. "Ardens...could you leave the books with me? The king charged me with retrieving them, the least I can do now is follow orders." She looked away from him timidly.

Erwen, after hearing commotion outside ran past his father and stood at the entrance of the palace scanning the capital quickly.

{Ardens sighs.}"Alright, but don't let them out of your sight."{He then looks at Azureus to make sure that she can't hear them.}"If Maldius comes back, use a decay spell on him. Trust me on this one."{Ardens then puts Mac on his back and takes to the skies towards Solaris.}

Maldius attempts to land at the entrance to his fortress, but the moment he touches the ground, his legs give out beneath him, and the dark dragon crashes into the snow. He groans, and struggles to get up, slowly rising to his feet. Maldius gasps and chokes, coughing up his own blood, his body twitches and shivers uncontrolably from the poison, drops of sweat drip from his forehead as his yellow eyes dart around wildly. Since he is using all of his power to keep his body functioning, he can't even focus enough to open the great doors to his fortress, instead the dark dragon limps to the doors and hurls his weight against them.

Macgyver lay in the grass, still unconscious. Burns could be seen visible at the end of where the fire had taken away his arm

Spotting Erwen, Crowley descended a few feet and began to circle above him. 'Hey, Prince Turkey!' he called out. 'What's going on?'

Nitika snatched up the bag, and handed it to Alfred, "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly are those tubes for...?"
She glanced at the tubes around Alfred's body.

Noxaura pulled the books back into the old bag she hid them then approached Azureus. "Are you feeling alright? Is there anything I can do to help you?"

Erwen looked up at Crowley. "I was hoping you'd have an idea. I only heard the sounds of fighting and came out to see what happened."

Crowley dropped out of the sky to land beside Erwen. 'Nope, for once this has nothing to do with me,' he replied with a smirk. 'How about we go and find out?'

Blackice hearing the loud noise echo through the Fortress ears perked up "it is him! It must be! " he ran through the Halls back to the entrance "My Master!"

After her encounter with the dragon draugr, Ivy continued meandering through the forest. She planned to take the creature's advice and visit the Frozen Wastes eventually, but right now her sights were set on her old homeland, Chrysos.
Humming to herself, the green dragon slipped between the trees and froze when she spotted something white up ahead. //A... wingless dragon?// she thought, intriuged. When he didn't notice her immediately, she cleared her throat loudly enough to be heard.

(Hey, Maldy, hows that poison treatin' ya? >:D){Azureus smiles at Nox, her Restoration Magic slowly healing the burns.}"I'm all right for the time being. Just keep those books safe."{Azureus looks at the rose necklace that Nox is wearing.}"That's new. Where did you get that?"

Macgyver let out an almost inaudible wimper at the mention of Nox's name.

//Is that someone coming?// Maldius ponders, hearing BlackIce's echoing footsteps. Not really caring who it is at this moment, he struggles to roar, "POISON. ANTIDOTE. //NOOWWW!!!//" before collapsing to the ground, retching.

Alfred he smiled and started to look through the bag "Thank you so kindly!...Oh these things?.Well other than them helping me with my dashing good looks, and making me look like a torch at night...They're the only thing keeping me alive" he said with a playful tone

Ivy smiled as she stepped forwards to make her presence known. Scanning the white dragon thoughtfully, she wondered what kind of life he led. He was small, skinny, and heavily scarred-up. //But scars can be attractive,// she mused, before snapping back to reality and greeting the stranger. 'Well, hello there. Who are you?'

Noxaura smiled in relief. "It's good to hear you're alright..." She felt her face heat up slightly at Azureus' question. "Oh this? Mac made it for me." Nox lowered her head when she mentioned him. "It's my fault he lost his leg."

Erwen allowed himself to show a faint grin. "Something you didn't start, we must check it out then!" With that he leapt into the air and began flying next to Crowley.

(Maldius: @Aggron Quite horribly, you miserable little rodent!)

(Hey @Fade! ^-^ You could have Maelstrom test out his new disguise, maybe he could visit Solaris and learn all the trouble Maldius caused this morning? :p )

Nitika's eyes widened, "Oh my.
Do you need help repairing it?" She looked worriedly at the leak in one of the tubes. "I've never seen anything like these, but maybe I could figure something out..."

Grinning in response, Crowley set off at full speed away from the capital, silently challenging Erwen to outrace him. After a few minutes of flying, he glimpsed something dark-coloured on the ground and slowed his pace. 'Hey... is that someone down there?'

(Hey, so I actually made it this time. I don't know if I'll attend though - I dunno what Maelstrom should be doing right now. 'XD)

'Oh, no-one important. Just a certain beautiful young traveller by the name of Ivy.' She smiled more widely as she took in Casta's nervous body language. 'And don't worry about your rabbit, I'm not about to take it. After all, //I'm// not as scrawny as a half-starved city rat.'

( @Maldius I'm the rodent? That's rat poison afflicting you! Made from Nighshade extract.){Ardens begins his descent into Solaris, passing by Erwen and Crowley on his way in.}{Azureus' smile drops.}"No, it's not your fault, my dear. I saw what Maldius did, that wretched creature, using Mac's curse against us! He's to blame for all of this."

Blackice seen Maldius his eyes went wide " LORD MALDIUS! ! Y.. YES Master right away!!" One of his Beast came to him " "quick see if you can find a poison antidote anywhere!" The beast took off. Blackice begin quickly searching through his bag "antidote!! antidote!! antidote!!" He pulled out several different herbs another gradients and a bottle of poison " antidote!! where is it! !" He pulled out a bottle "YES!!" running over he poured it into Maldius mouth //I don't know if it will be enough, no it has to be! //

Erwen quickly followed behind Crowley, he wasn't interested in racing the black dragon and let him stay ahead. He stopped beside Crowley when he saw him slow down. "I think it is, but I can't tell from this height."

Noxaura's expression shifted slightly when Maldius was brought up. "He will pay for what he's done."

'Good guess!' said Ivy. 'I was once of Chrysos, but I left a few years ago to see more of the world. Nowadays I consider myself to belong to no-one.' She tilted her head and looked him up and down. 'And you? You do smell like a Chrysos dragon, but it's hard to tell.'

(Kole: I think anyone would be suspicious of Ivy. XD)

Crowley whistled. 'It reeks of dark magic around here... poison too. Wonder what was going on?' Without waiting for a response, he dropped a few feet lower and squinted at the shapes on the ground. 'Hey, I think one of them might be Noxaura!'

{Azureus speaks with an unusually angry tone.}"I'm generally not one to encourage violence of any kind, but yes, Maldius must face the consequences of his actions."

Ivy moved a few paces closer and sat down facing the white dragon. Once again, her gaze roved over his thin, scarred body and the places where his wings should have been. 'Hmm. So how did you get these injuries, if you don't mind me asking? I personally find scars quite interesting, and yours have obviously come from a //very// violent incident. Maybe you were attacked?'

Maelstrom had sensed an intense battle between strong magics the previous night, and his anxiety persuaded him to fly to Solaris to investigate. Although he neither had magic-sensing abilities nor powerful magic at all, the cyborg dragon could somehow tell when a dark presence was on the move. At least, it was that way with Maldius. Maelstrom had felt it when the purple dragon had first returned to Lecra, although he could never guess why. He had briefly considered that it was Fate, but recently he had been doubting that they were ever meant to be a team.

As Maelstrom descended towards Solaris, his appearance rippled and shifted into a dull red fire dragon, and he landed near the edge of the city.

Maldius closes his eyes and takes deep breaths, waiting for the poison's effects to clear up before saying anything. Gradually he stops shivering and sweating, and slowly rises to his full height, looking down at BlackIce. "... I suppose I ought to thank you," Maldius says, speaking slowly, "Who are you, and why have you come to my frozen demesne?"

Erwen looked around with a worried expression, looking for any signs of the attacker. Shaking his head he past Crowley and landed next to Azureus and Noxaura. "What happened?!"

Noxaura jumped slightly at Erwen's sudden arrival. She relaxed slightly when she realized who it was. "Maldius returned, he attacked us."

(Why is it that whenever @Fade posts for Maelstrom, it's always an epic thing to read? XD )

{Ardens lands at the Palace and runs into the Royal Infirmary. He is then approached by the healers.}Healer:"Oh my! What happened?"
Ardens:"We were attacked by Maldius in the forest. Azureus is still out there in need of aid."
Healer:"We'll send medics at once!"{The staff takes Mac, puts him in a bed, and begins treating him. A team of medics depart towards the forest. Ardens leaves with them.}

Noxaura's ears angled towards the new voice. She turned and saw Arrowstone approching. "Arrowstone, what are you doing here?"

'Your own tribe cut off your wings? I didn't know such brutal punishments existed...' Ivy paused, looking momentarily troubled. She hadn't known this about Chrysos before, and was even more glad that she'd chosen to leave her tribe long ago. 'Don't worry, I won't talk to anyone else about this. You can trust me,' she added, with a small smile. 'So if you're not living in Chrysos, what do you do now?'

Crowley swept down, annoyed at being overtaken, and landed a few feet from Erwen. He didn't speak, but cocked his head and waited to hear more about what had happened.

Alfred gave her a warm smile "Its ok you dont need that sad look for me! it's something I've lived with most of my life" He takes his talons off his shoulder and places them on his metal arm. he began to move his talons on the surface, a glow started to show as he was writing something. he moved his talons away revealing the glowing runes on his metal arm they began to dissolve removing the metal on top, and revealing the gears and tubing beneath it. He flexed his talons and the gears moved with. "But if you know anything about mixing herbs and chemicals that would be great!" he did a cheesy smile

{Azureus sees Erwen arrive. She gives a worried look.}"Erwen, why are you here?"

{Azureus then turns to Arrow.}"I am Azureus, advisor to the king. Who are you?"

'Oh, I just wander the world. I have no occupation, nor do I want one. I suppose you could say my true purpose is finding someone to travel with me!' Ivy paused again, wings drooping a little. 'Though unfortunately I've had no success. Nobody wants to be with me.' Then she shook her head and returned her attention to Casta. 'If it's all right to ask, what could you have done to deserve such a harsh punishment?'

Erwen's eyes widened. "Maldius? But...how?" Was this why his father was acting so panicked? He looked to Azureus noticing how injured she was. "It doesn't matter why I'm here, are you alright?"

"That's Azureus, one of the king's advisers." Noxaura explained to Arrowstone. "We were attacked by Maldius, I'm sure you've heard of him."

(well cross out Nox's first comment XD)

Blackice does a low bow "I am Blackice my Master, I have come seeking your awesome power and guidance my Lord! )

{Azureus smiles at Erwen.}"I'm fine. Ardens will be coming soon with help. Why there he is now."{Ardens and the medics begin to land in the clearing.}

"I DO know how to do that. I've made potions almost my whole life!" Nitika beamed, "So, what do you need?" She grabbed her satchel and began digging through it.

Plastering a lidded expression on his face, Maelstrom strolled into the Aquilam city, his disguise's pale scales giving off a dull shine from the morning sun. To the cyborg's satisfaction, he blended in so well with the citizens around him that no-dragon would ever guess that he was the robotic exile from Chrysos.
As Maelstrom headed deeper into Solaris, he paused to raise his head and glance about his surroundings. //Hmm... where to search first? There are bound to be plenty gossip about last night's events, so the city center should be a good place to start.// Having decided his destination, the disguised dragon started towards the middle of the polis, his walk casual as if he was merely out for a stroll.

'A thief?' Ivy repeated curiously. 'Well, I have nothing against thieves. I'm sure you had a good reason to steal, hm?' She glanced at him, then at the rabbit. 'Go ahead and eat, I won't stop you. In fact - wait here a moment!' She took off and swooped over the trees, leaving Casta alone.

(Since Mac isn't awake yet, I thought I'd introduce someone)

As Maldius and Blackice talked, A loud blood-curdling dragon's scream could be heard coming from the dungeon of Maldius' lair.

Maldius grins faintly. //Finally, someone who respects my power, someone who treats me like the deity I am!// "I see... so you have come seeking a request of me? But I do not give away my power to anyone who would ask something of me... if you could prove yourself a loyal servant, I may consider your request."

Ivy flew through the forest, chasing a small shape she'd spotted in the undergrowth. Being a quite bulky dragon and weighted down by her poisonous spikes, she wasn't fast, but with a quick swing of her tail she managed to kill the rabbit. Smiling triumphantly, she grabbed it in her jaws and flew back to where Casta was busy eating.
'Here!' she said cheerfully, dropping her kill on the ground. 'You certainly look like you need more food than you're getting, so take this too.'

Maldius casually ignores the scream. //I can check on that in a moment.//

Noxaura looked around at the medics that had arrived. She smiled and shook her head. "I think we'll be alright now, but thank you Arrowstone."

( @Lilly or @Griffin: Is Maldius' appearance known to the public, or are the Aquilam leaders keeping it secret for the time being?)

Alfred did a big smile "Awesome sauce!! most off the stuff in a red bag inside my bag, but let's see here.. you'll need chipi-chipi root, Zalemaro oil hmmm the one that will be a problem is this rare Aquilam flower called tranquility lilly" he scratches the back of his head with his good arm and chuckles "I kind of forgot to pick some up at the docks before we left"

{Ardens walks past Erwen and Crowley and adresses Nox as the medics stabilize Azureus.}"She'll be ok now. Get the books. Let's go back to Solaris."{Ardens begins to leave, expecting Nox to follow.}

Seeing that Noxaura was OK, Crowley quickly lost interest in the goings-on and swiftly turned to Erwen. 'I need to talk to you soon. In private,' he hissed low enough that only the prince could hear.

(I keep picking up my stylus to draw on paper and using a pencil on my 3ds...)

Blackice " of course my master! It would be foolish of me to think that I would not have to prove myself worthy to you before you can deem me Worthy of your awesomeness! Master!"

( @Fade I do that all the time! !XD)

Ivy grinned at Casta. 'Of course!' She stepped backwards to prove she had no intention of taking the food herself. 'Go ahead. It might be true that not everyone likes me...' Her smile faltered for a moment. 'But I'm certainly not heartless.'

(Fade: I've done that before with my tablet pen. XD)

Noxaura looks at the bag slung around her neck than towards the direction where Ardens was heading. //I...I can't let them have the books.// Sne backed up slowly away from Ardens and the others.

Erwen turned his attention to Crowley. "Uh okay, sure. Would you like to get it out of the way now?"

Crowley glanced at Nox, then nodded, unusually serious. 'Sure, whatever, but come over here so no-one hears us.' He shook out his feathers and walked about twenty feet from the spot where everyone else had been.

(Oh my sorry! I saw it and answered it in my head.
I don't think the leaders could hide it from anyone. Madius' appearance caused quite the commotion.)

(Omg I need to put my glasses on it's too hard to read/type without them)

"Good... good. Now, come with me, servant, I'm going to see what's happening in my dungeon," Maldius says as he begins walking towards a staircase leading downwards. "My prisoners are likely just upset because I forgot to feed them for the last... month or so."

{Ardens stops and looks back at Nox.}"Nox? What are you doing? Let's go!"

( @Griffin: Okay, thanks! Lol, are you far-sighted? I'm the opposite. XD)

'It's no trouble,' said Ivy, settling down under a nearby tree and wrapping her tail around herself. For a few moments she gazed thoughtfully into the distance while Casta ate then, finally, she spoke up again. 'You know, Casta... I'm thinking we should travel together for a while. We'd be a great team! I've had no friends for a long time, and I'm guessing you haven't either.' She tilted her head and looked at him intently.

Blackice bows his head " of course master" he follows behind him.

Erwen rolled his eyes and followed Crowley. "Now what could possibly be so important that we need to be so secretive?"

Noxaura shook her head. "I'm sorry Ardens, I can't let anyone have them." With that she darted away and flew high into the sky. Without turning back she held the bag close and fled.

( @Fade I don't know at this point, everything's blurry XD)

"Would it happen to look like this?"
Nitika took out the flower she'd found in the river.
The petals looked like the fins of a fish, and a calming green glow emanated from the middle.

Crowley's teeth flashed in a lightning-quick grin. 'It's about our alliance!' he said, as if he couldn't believe Erwen had forgotten. 'We need to discuss our next move. The snake dragon guy is willing to join us, so I think we're ready to take some action!'

As the two walked into the dungeon, a graphic scene was before them. The carcass of one of the prisinors lay on the floor, their throat ripped out violently.
Blood-splattered footprints led to another prisoner. The killer turned around to look at them. He was deathly skinny, with red scales and a black underbelly, with golden markings along his body. But the strangest things about him were his eyes, which were a strikingly familar friendly blue, and for the fact he had no wings. Burn marks in the shape of talon prints took their place.

"Hello Maldius, and Blackice! Ah, company..."

{Ardens stands in surprise at this.}"Nox! What are you doing?!"{Ardens begins to pursue her through the sky.}

'Well, why not?' said Ivy, looking at him curiously. 'I'm not going to make you do anything, if that's what you were thinking of. No, I just want to be friends. You can't possibly be enjoying your life - alone in the wilderness, barely able to find food. I can help you out.' Her acid-green eyes gleamed with an unusual amount of honesty.

Erwen tensed slightly. "Oh yeah, that." He paused in thought for a moment. "I don't think you'll accomplish much with only one dragon at your side."

Noxaura looked back and hissed, a wild look in her eyes. "Get away!" She sped up her flight while muttering dark enchantments under her breath.

Calmly walking down the stairs, Maldius leads BlackIce into an immensely large, circular room, prison cells lining the walls. As he enters the room, Maldius demands, "Who was screaming just now?"

Alfred face lit up "THAT'S IT!! How did you get it!! WOW I mean seriously your a lifesaver!!" He had a squinty smile "now you just need to mix the ingredients and cook them and we should be home free!!"

{Ardens yells after Noxaura.}"What the hell, Nox?! Why are you fleeing? Land now! We can talk this out!"

Macgyver suddenly awoke, gasping for air frantically. "M-maldius! Wh-What?" He looked around the room confused. "W-where are the others? Are they ok? A-ardens, Azurus and Nox... Nox! Is Noxuara ok? I need to find her!" He paid no attention to the loss of his arm.

The dragon gave a deranged smile. He walked up to the two dragons and the body. "Oh, the screaming?" He chuckled "It was him. I killed him though, his mind was filled with suffering. It was bothering me." He then nods at the two. "Ah Blackice! What are you doing here, while someone is looking for you? And Maldius, Iv'e seen you have come back from your battle alive, no?"

Crowley's eyes narrowed fractionally. 'What do you mean, only one dragon? There's three of us altogether.' He had a feeling something was off about Erwen's behaviour, but couldn't quite put his claw on it.

Upon arriving at the busy town center, Maelstrom slunk through the crowds, his neck lowered but his ears attentive for any conversation concerning last night's events. It did not take him long to find one - gossip spread like a wildfire in Solaris.
"Have you heard about the invasion last night?" a silvery dragon asked her partner as she passed by Maelstrom.
"Unfortunately, yes," the other replied. "The feared Maldius has returned to Aquilam just as the rumors said, and he's as powerful as ever. He caused quite a stir in the castle grounds, and although no significant dragon was killed, I fear for our king's safety..."
Maelstrom lost track of the duo's conversation as they faded back into the crowds, but he had heard plenty enough. //That fool, exposing himself like that!// he growled to himself as he whirled around and headed in the direction from which he had come.

'Ha! You don't have to offer me a thing,' Ivy replied. 'All I want is some long-overdue company.' She wasn't really sure why she'd chosen this rather pitiful dragon, but for some reason she liked the thought of travelling with him. 'And I'll protect you if we ever get in trouble!' she added with a wink.

( @Turtle You know, I was thinking that Maldius would probably have a nickname for this dragon, how does "Scratch" sound? It the first thing that came to mind XP

Another thing, has Maldius already figured out his little ability? If he's been a prisoner a long time, I get the feeling he would)

Noxaura growled in frustration. Her thoughts were all focused on protecting the four books. Ardens was a threat. She whipped around to face him, silver fire curling around her jaws.

Erwen narrowed his eyes. "With the return of Maldius the tribe is in danger. I'm putting aside my personal grudges and plan to protect Aquilam."

(Yes, I think he has figured out his ability, just not his "True" Identity, like who is his son. I think Scratch would be cool, cause I was thinking that the new dragon could have forgot his own name.)

(Maldius: @Maelstrom I knew you'd be happy to hear what I've done.)

{Upon Mac's awakening, he is approached by healers.}"Calm down, Macgyver. Everything's ok. Our team is bringing in everyone who was hurt. Just tell me how you're feeling."

Not having any idea what thoughts were running through Casta's mind, Ivy smiled cheerfully. 'So, are you up for it?' She dropped her voice. 'We can fly, find new lands, have adventures together!'

"Yes, yes, nice to see you too, Scratch. Would you care explaining how exactly you got out of your cell?" Maldius questions, feeling mildly amused.

"I'm pretty sure I just got lucky." Nitika laughed, taking some other equipment out from her bag, "I had never seen a flower like it, so I saved it for later.
May I have the ingredients? I can mix them right now."

{Ardens sees Nox's aggression and sighs.//Damn it, Nox. Mac's going to kill me for this.// Ardens collides with Nox, taking any attack she uses head on. Upon making contact, he drains all of Nox's energy and rapidly descends to the ground.(Basically, he Gannoncides. XD)}

Blackice raised an eyebrow at him "should I know you? And what do you mean by someone looking for me?"
(I'm just playing a long :p you can ignore this if it doesn't make sense)

'So you think this stupid dark dragon is more important than everything we've been planning?' Crowley hissed, showing his teeth. Deep down, he felt betrayed that Erwen had left the alliance. He'd actually thought he had a trusted comrade in the prince... It was just another damned reminder that he couldn't rely on anyone. 'Chrysos is our enemy! We have to kill them all and toss their corpses in the Frozen Wastes! Are you seriously not on my side anymore?!'

'Good!' said Ivy in a satisfied tone. She walked up to Casta's side and briefly put a wing around his shoulders. 'Where should we go first? I've been everywhere already, of course... but if there's anywhere you want to go...'

//We were supposed to keep both of our existences secret so that we could provoke a war between the two tribes without getting involved, but now everybody's attention is focused on that wicked exile! Why did I ever agree to a partnership with him?// Maelstrom's walk turned into a gallop, and with a strong beat of his wings, he took off and soared over the buildings. //He has used me and my rebellion as a stepping-stool to dominate the tribes, and in the process he has crushed centuries worth of careful plotting. When I find him, I'll show him how wrong he was to have used me in this way.//

As all the energy disappeared Noxaura began to plummit towards the ground. But as she neared the ground all the plant life instantly began whithering away re-energising her. Quickly she recovered and flew high up into the sky.

Erwen sighed. "I'm not against you Crowley. But we can't risk the lives of others on such frivolous actions."

Scratch smiled at Blackice. "Oh no, no one knows me. I'm just so good at hide and seek!" He laughed insanely. "As for who, I could tell you... But I'm being summoned by old eggplant!" Scratch turned to Maldius. "It took lots of time, good sir. I mean, you haveee been gon for a month, so we all got desperate!" He clutched his chest. "That dead one got out, so I did you a favor and killed him!"

Mac whimpered. "Please, its urgent!" He then calmed down, and looked up at the Nurse, tears falling from his eyes. "Could you just tell her that I'm sorry?"

Alfred " sure thing!! " he handed her the red bag "it might have a smelly smell to it at first when you mix it, kind of like old dragon scales dip in rotten eggplant juice, but one's you start cooking it it should start smelling sweet , and huzzah!! it done!"

'Hmm...' Ivy pondered for a moment. 'We could go to Epral, not many people go there... or we could visit Aquilam! Have you ever been there? I have. They seem surprisingly tolerant of Chrysos dragons.'

{Ardens becomes enraged at this.}"Grah!" {He continues his pursuit.}"Listen to me! This isn't you! You're letting the true nature of the magic consume you! Fight it!"

'Not against me? Of course you're against me! We had an agreement!' A small part of Crowley was aware that Erwen was right, that defending the trbe from Maldius was more important than petty fights with Chrysos. But the bigger part of him was just furious that the prince had betrayed him. His claws twitched threateningly and he took a jerky step towards Erwen, only a couple of inches between them.

"Fine, fine..." Maldius narrows his eyes slightly, mystic lightning crackling around him for a brief moment. "but if I hear you call me 'old eggplant' again, I'm going to rip your back legs off and shove them down your throat."

Blackice shifted his eyes over towards the odd wingless dragon //hmmm he clearly insane///

{The nurse looks sympathetically at Mac.}"Don't worry, I will. Now, tell me how you're feeling.

"I will not take orders from you!" Noxaura continued her escape. She flew around in complicated patterns to prevent Ardens from getting close to her again.

Erwen looked down at Crowley with a calm gaze. "I am not against you, let us focus our goals on Maldius instead of Chrysos." He tensed, expecting Crowley to attack.

Ivy grinned down at him, trying to inspire some confidence in the nervous dragon. 'It's always been safe when I go there...' she commented. 'Why don't you get on my back and we'll fly over there? We won't get too close, I promise. We'll just get a look at the city.'

Nitika took the ingredients and put them into a small-portable bowl. She began crushing and mixing them all together.
"I don't think I've ever met a dragon who lives with tubes all around their body. It's pretty cool! But I could also imagine it being difficult to keep them from breaking." Nitika wondered out loud. "Oof, this DOES stink."
She held the bowl out in front of her so she wouldn't be hit by the stench as badly, "Does it look ok to you?"

Crowley halted, tense and trembling with the effort of not ripping Erwen's feathers out. 'You traitorous little chicken,' he hissed. 'Maybe you're right... maybe Maldius //is// the bigger threat. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna forgive you for lying to me!' He half-opened his wings and sprang at Erwen, knocking the prince and himself to the ground. He was vaguely aware of Ardens pursuing Nox but paid no attention to them.

Macgyver wiped away his tears. "I'm doing just fine, I'm just a little shaken up, that's all"

Scratch put his hand up to his chest, pretending to look hurt. "Now you wouldn't do that to your Murder weapon's father, now would you?"

'All right, let's flyyy!' Ivy cried, leaping powerfully into the air with a few beats of her wings. Casta weighed next to nothing, making her worry that if he fell off her back, she wouldn't even notice. But she continued in the direction of Solaris, humming cheerfully under her breath as she flew.

(Gonna take a short break, as I have nothing to do as of right now. brb!)

Erwen, who had been prepared for an attack quickly clawed his way off the ground then turned and pinned Crowley. "I am not a traitor, I did not lie to you. I simply saw from a new perspective. What we were doing was wrong, we can correct it by protecting the tribe."

{Ardens growls in frustration.//I can't catch her like this. So, she wants to play this game? We'll play this game!// Ardens swoops by the trees and grabs a large bird. In one fluent movement, he snaps its neck, binds a soul to it, and releases it. to the eyes of an onlooker, it would merely appear that he passed too close to a tree and spooked the bird. He quickly mutters something to it and the bird dives beneath the trees. Ardens the continues his pursuit, keeping a fair distance from Nox.}

Crowley snarled and fought, but being a skinny dragon who relied on speed in a fight, he was no match for Erwen's strength. After a moment or two he stopped and looked the prince in the eyes, searching for any hint of deceit. 'If you really aren't betraying me, then let me up,' he said in a low voice. 'I'll help you protect the tribe. From Maldius.'

Noxaura looked around at her surroundings, and noticed Ardens drawing behind. Not taking the risk she sped up and changed her direction and began flying towards the southeast. //There's one place I can go that no one else can follow.//

Macgyver stared at his claws, deep in thought. //I attacked her... I can't beleive I did... What if she hates me now? I bet that's why she didn't visit...//

Alfred chuckled " well there usually a lot more durable then this, but I guess I hit the ground a lot harder then I thought I slow down enough, but we alive so it's all good!!. And yaeh you probably won't see anyone else like this, I'm one of a kind limited edition! He smiles " my family has spent a lot of time and resources in my quality of Health" he plugs his nose " yep!! it looks right and smells it too!!" His ears twitch " there should be a stream not too far right over there if you need to get any water?"

Ivy kept her flight path as steady as she could. Before long the city of Solaris came into view as a dark shape on the horizon, the silhouettes of huge buildings rising up past the city walls. She hovered in midair, getting a good look at the place. 'Hmm... it's just like how I remember,' she mused out loud. Then to Casta: 'So, you've never been here before?'

Erwen narrowed his eyes but complied. He stood in a defensive position in case Crowley decided to lash out again. "I don't want to be your enemy Crowley."

{Ardens quickly ascends, then folds his wings and enters a rapid, steep nosedive. From the forest in front of Nox comes the large bird draugr. It collides with Nox and severs the strap of the book bag with its tallons. The bag falls to the forest floor. Ardens zooms down and hits the ground hard, clutching the bag under his claws with a death grip.}

'Well, I know Lennox - the King of Aquilam - is tolerant of Chrysos dragons,' said Ivy. 'In fact, I've heard rumours that he's been trying to prevent a war with Chrysos for some time.' She heard wingbeats in the distance and glanced around to see a dark-coloured dragon flying away, pursued by another dragon. 'Hm, I wonder what they're doing?' She considered flying over to look.

Crowley shook out his feathers and brushed some imaginary dust off his snout. Then he turned to give Erwen a nasty smile. 'I know why,' he said with relish. 'Because if you //were// my enemy, I would tear you in half as slowly as possible and scatter your blood to the four winds.' He took a step back and spoke normally, as if nothing had happened. 'So, what are we gonna do about this Maldius dude?'

Nitika nodded, "It's wonderful that your parents cared about you so much!"
She wandered over to the stream and mixed some water with the mixture.
"Now we just need to cook it..."

Noxaura let out a furious roar at the sight of Ardens with her bag. She went into a steep dive towards him. "Give them back! Give them back!" She crashed into the ground and stood up warily.

(Sorry @Turtlee I missed that comment.){The nurse smiles at Mac.}"No pain or burning? Good to hear."{The nurse begins jotting this down. Through the door comes the medics and Azureus. The help her to a bed and begin treating her burns.}

Erwen growled at Crowley but shook his head and stood tall. "We need to find out where Maldius is hiding, and get an idea about what powers he has."

'Why don't we get a closer look?' Ivy cautiously flew over, noticing that the dragons were on the ground now. She circled above them, distantly enough that she would appear as nothing more than a curious passer-by. //Are they fighting over a bag?//

Crowley cocked his head to one side, smirking a little. 'He must have super powerful magic! Maybe even more powerful than me. D'you think he'd teach me?' he asked in a joking tone of voice.

Alfred after messing with some of the gears in cutting off the flow of the liquid so it would stop leaking. He seen Nikita go for water. he gets up, and grits his teeth with pan he looks and see the trail of broken trees and branches "well at least I left plenty of wood to pick up" he pick a Branch up and drops it " butter talons" he says under his breath and pick it up again. He set them in a pile and take his talons and start drawing on the floor leaving a runes replaces the wood on top, and snaps his talons the wood ignited. He leaned up against a tree and sat down and closed his eyes but was listening

{Ardens glares at Nox.}"No. These are far too dangerous to allow you to possess them! If Maldius finds you with them, all of Lecra will perish! I can hide them from Maldius, put them somewhere where he will never get them. You don't need to do this! Running away from your problems will only cause suffering! I should know..."{Ardens eyes flash with regret and painful memories as he grips the books tighter agains himself.}"Go back to Solaris. If Lennox asks, tell him that I took them."

(Just a heads-up, I have to go soon.)

Ivy observed the two dragons arguing. 'They're from Aquilam, that's for sure,' she said quietly. 'And that bag...' She paused and cautiously sniffed the air, wrinkling her nose in distaste. 'There's sonething dark in it. I might not have any magical power, but I can sense something reeeaally nasty is inside that bag.'

Erwen ignored the last part of Crowley's comment. "From what I've heard from my father, Maldius is very strong. We'll need to be careful."

Fear flashed across Noxaura's face before it was replaced with rage again. "Lennox will banish me when I return. He knows what I can do."

Crowley raised his eyes skyward in an exasperated gesture. 'I //know// we have to be careful! Gee, you really state the obvious. Anyway, are we going back to Solaris now? We gotta decide how we're going to deal with Maldius.'

(Kole: You don't need to type the @Radiant if you don't want to, I know you're talking to me since as Casta and Ivy are the only ones there X))

Ivy hummed to herself while she considered. 'I suppose so. Can't //you// sense the darkness in there? It's giving me a headache even being this far away from it.' She turned back, hoping that the unknown dragons wouldn't notice her.

{Ardens glares upwards at Ivy momentarily, then back at Nox.}Y'know, Lennox doesn't have so many loyal subject capable of driving off Maldius that he can afford to start banishing them. And I didn't mean return to Lennox. I meant return to your boyfriend, Mac.{Ardens motions towards the necklace.} He probably remembers attacking you and he likely thinks you hate him for it. Just go visit Mac, then I don't care what you do."{Ardens begins to back away.}"The kid's had a hard day. Seeing you might make it easier for him."

"My apologies, but some dragons have thick skulls that can't seem to grasp the obvious." Erwen sighed and spread his wings, preparing for flight. "I'll be returning to speak to my father on how handle this issue."

Nitika came back to see that Alfred had already started a fire. "My, that was fast." She glanced at Alfred, "I assume I cook it until it smells good?" She chuckled.

"Murder weapon's father? What are you talking about, Scratch? And yes, I would do that to you." Maldius glares at Scratch as he speaks.

'We should maybe avoid that area for a while. Who knows what they've been doing?' Ivy sighed, swooping away from Nox and Ardens and heading towards the edge of the forest. 'Let's rest here for a minute or two.' She landed near a bubbling stream and glanced up, noticing that Solaris was still visible from here.

Crowley watched Erwen prepare to take off. 'Gotcha,' he replied carelessly. 'I'll return later, I'm going to hunt first.'

Noxaura's rage subsided and she looked down at the necklace processing all that had happened. "You're right, gosh I'm terrible." She looked back in the direction of Solaris. "Get those books away, never let them see the light of day again." With that she took flight and made her way back to Aquilam's capital.

"Oh, Isn't it obvious? Ah, well I guess not. Ill give you a hint. Hmmm... Well they are suffering the loss of something very importaint..." Scratch gave another insane toothy smile.
Macgyver noticed Azurus, and sighed. He layed his tail alonh his snout //Moons help us all... Maldius is going to kill us...//

Alfred Twitch his ears and smiled "you got it!" He pulls out a book from his bag and pulls out one of the pages he takes his Talons carefully and start folding it the paper

Erwen nodded. "Fine with me, watch your back out there." Erwen took to the air and headed to the palace where he had last seen his father.

'You're very welcome.' Ivy lay down by the stream and rested her head on her forelegs, watching the barely-visible shape of the two dragons taking off and leaving the area. 'You've never been here before, so I suppose this is all new to you. Maybe later, we'll go visit the King of Aquilam. He's a nice guy, so I've heard - and quite handsome too.'

Crowley watched Erwen departing, sneered at him for a moment, then turned and loped away into the forest.

{Ardens looks up at Nox.//I'm glad she could see reason. She shouldn't abandon the ones she cares about over this. Like I did...//}Ardens turns and walks into the forest, still tightly clutching the bag.}

'Oh, don't worry about him,' said Ivy, waving a paw dismissively. 'He's fine. Actually...' She hesitated, wondering if she should tell Casta this. 'During my travels I hear many things... Recently I've heard rumours about a powerful dark dragon named Maldius who wants to kill everyone in Aquilam. It's just a rumour, but... If it's true, I may decide to join King Lennox and help fight this dragon.'

Maldius scratches his chin thoughtfully, looking into Scratch's strangely familiar eyes. "... If my assumption is correct, then Macgyver has a really pitiful father."

(Sorry if my comments are overly long.)

Noxaura sped towards the capital, luckily the wind was on her side making her progress faster. After a few minutes she was already at the edges of the large city.

Erwen remembered the injured dragons and decided to go check on them briefly. Changing course he flew to where Azureus and Mac were currently resting.

Blackice was listening to them

{Azureus sleeps peacefully. In this state, her Restoration Magic heals her at an accelerated rate. Ardens, making sure that no one sees him, phases through a dark magic wall and into a hidden tunnel.}

( @Griffin By the way, does Solaris have places like hotels for traveling dragons?)

Ivy was staring straight ahead towards the city. 'Yes, Maldius. Apparently, he's one of Aquilam's most feared exiles.' She then caught Casta's tone and turned her head slightly to peer at him. 'You haven't met him, have you?' she asked curiously.

( @Lilly I'd be surprised if they didn't, so yeah there's probably inns somewhere :p)

Erwen landed by the infirmary. He could see that Azureus was looking much better and sleeping. He walked over to see Macgyver, wondering what damged had been inflicted on him.

Noxaura slowed down as she entered Solaris and began heading straight for the infirmary.

'Really? You've met him? What's he like?' Ivy halted her flow of questions and looked Casta carefully up and down. 'If he's as evil as the stories say, then why aren't you dead?' She considered also asking how attractive Maldius was, but decided that question could wait.

Blackice glares at him and bears his teeth "and how do you know about my daughter!"

Maldius growls quietly at Scratch's remark.

Sherry looks out the window of the inn at the commotion outside. "Hey Adrianne, can we go see what's going on over there?"

(Sorry, I have to go now. Kole, if you want to pause Casta and Ivy's conversation then we could continue it next time, unless something else happens first.

'Disguised?' For a second, Ivy's mind drifts back to the mysterious ice dragon called Yssarion who she'd spoken to not long ago. However, she quickly disregarded the thought as Yssarion hadn't seemed at all evil. 'Well, we'd best be careful then... If Maldius knows who you are, he might decide to hunt you down and kill you... who knows what he's planning?' She let out a sigh.

Adrianne rolled over from her bed and raised her eyebrows "there is a lot of noise going on today " she gets up and let out a sigh "let's go see, I know you won't stop asking until we do"

Finally arriving at the infirmary Noxaura landed and stumbled slightly from the sudden exhaustion. Shaking it off she entered and immediatly noticed Erwen standing by Macgyver with an unreadable expression. "Erwen, why are you here?" Nox kept her voice low to avoid waking any sleeping dragons.

Scratch didn't even flinch at Blackice's sudden hostile mood.
"I know alot of things... Yes I do. I know that you frown apon her one side... Favoring only one twin over the other..."

{As Ardens walks, Theseus explains everything.}"Avatil had four eggs? I'll need to question her about that. Really? One second after you left, Maldius took the book from Lennox like a bully takes candy from a dragonet?"{Ardens shakes his head.}"And to think I call him my king. Pathetic!"{Ardens comes to a massive metal door. A draugr hands him a large iron key. With it, he opens the door to reveal an immense stash of riches, gold and jewels piled to the ceiling. Ardens takes a chest, empties the contents, and begins to carve runes into the top of it.}

"Alright, let's go! I wonder what could've happened? Do you think it's a good thing, Adrianne?" Sherry starts hopping towards the inn's exit.

Macgyver opened his eyes slightly to the sound of whispering dragons.

Blackice eye narrows to slits "I only have one daughter! THAT THING IS NOTHING MORE THAN A PARASITE!!" He doug his talons in the floor in anger

{Ardens finishes the runes and chants in the language of the ancient humans. The runes begin to glow. Ardens then empties the books into the chest and locks it. The runes hide the dark presence of the book. Ardens then buries the chest in the pile of gold and locks the vault. Upon exiting the vault, Avatil appears from the darkness.}"You summoned me, Necromancer?"
Ardens:"Yes, I need to know about your children. ALL your children. I need to know everything. What the tests were for, and their ultimate outcome."( @Griff whenever you're ready.)

Maldius' anger fades as he listens to the two dragons before him. //Hmm... I wonder what this is all about.//

Erwen hardly glanced in her direction before turning and walking towards where Noxaura stood. They exchanged a few words, quiet so only they could hear. Then Erwen nodded and left to go consult with his father.

"Oh no no Blackice... That 'Parasite' Has it's own thoughts... Thoughts of hurt and regret. That you didn't love her... Only her sister. Why only one?"
Scratch cackles at Blackice's anger.
Magyver looked up. "N-nox?" He asked groggily.

Sherry wanders through the streets, listening to all the talk about last night's events. "Wow, that sounds awful... Adrianne, do you know who Maldius is?" she asks, looking up at her giant bodyguard, a concerned look on her face.

Avatil nodded. "It is a long story. It started because Lennox and I were paranoid about Maldius' return, or the rise of another dragon like him." She paused, remembering the children they had lost and sighed before continuing. "We didn't want to leave Aquilam with a weak king incase that danger would return."

Noxaura's ears perked up as she walked over to Macgyver's side. "I'm here now Mac."

Blackice look at him with cold eye "because I only have ONE!! THAT MONSTER has NO feelings of regrets or love!! It only KILLS!!"

Maldius puts one of his clawed paws on BlackIce's shoulder. "Whatever 'parasite' you are talking about, must be a truly terrible thing... You're getting upset, BlackIce, go back to the main hall of my fortress and calm yourself down. Don't go anywhere until I return. I shall deal with Scratch."

Adrianne look down at her "only fairytale...I thought he has nothing more then story. something my grandpa would tell me to get me to behave, like Maldius will come and eat you if you don't stop biting my brother's , and stuff like that...I never thought the he was true..."

Macgyver smiled. "Its odd to have another nurse heal me... Normally you do it. But you needed to help Azurus. So, how has your day been going?"

Scratch grined again, watching Blackice leave. "What a flaming mind he has... Hmm..."

"Wow, he sounds really scary..." Sherry says, fiddling with her hands nervously. "I think we should go see Mister King Lennox, I want to make sure he's ok..."

Blackice "Yes master.. as you wish." as he turns to walk away he gives Scratch a cold glare before leaving completely

"I'm just glad to see that you're both okay." Noxaura smiled as she stood by him. "I'm sure you can guess how my day's been." Her expression darkened.

{Ardens listens intently.}"Go on, your highness."

Adrianne " don't worry to much! I'm your bodyguard remember!!
alright but I don't know how up to having visitors today, but we can go see" she had a sarcastic smile

Maldius silently watches BlackIce leave, then turns to Scratch. "Now tell me... how did Macgyver's father end up wingless and alone in the Frozen Waste, Scratch? Also, what did you see in BlackIce's mind?"

Avatil lowered her head. "We found a way to...infuse an egg with different kinds of magic. But we refused to test it on any of the citizens' eggs. At the time our first egg was weeks from hatching so we tested on it. It was too late though, the dragonet was killed by the magic we tried to give it." She wiped a bloody tear off her face. "The next two eggs were tested on right after they were laid. Both dragonets hatched, but died a few days later."

Sherry smiles up at Adrianne happily. "OK! I'm really glad you're my bodyguard! You're the best bodyguard ever!" Chrysos' little bundle of sunshine then starts bounding in the direction of Lennox's quarters.

{Ardens continues with an expression of deep thought.}"I see. Keep going."

Adrianne did a amused snort, and shaking her head while trying to keep up with the energetic Dragonette

"The final egg, Erwen's egg, was successful. However he was very weak when he hatched. We were terrified about loosing another child, he prevailed though." Avatil smiled faintly then continued. "To be safe Lennox and I placed magic seals on him to contain the magic he was too young and too weak to use." She looked down at her decayed claws. "When Lennox dies those seals will break."

Macgyver noticed Nox's sudden mood change. He wrapped his tail around hers, his warmth conforting. "Hey, We'll be alright. All of us will. We will find a way to stop Maldius. Untill then, I'm here for you."

Scratch smiled. "Oooh storytime!" He sat down and looked at Maldius. "Long ago, 56 years to be exact, I was a robber. I stole the most precous things from kingdoms, counts, travelers, anyone or anything. My mate did as well. But an assasin tried to take us out for our fortune, so we fled to the place no one would follow to.... The frozen waste. Soon my mate and I settled down. We had three eggs, three beutiful eggs. They were the most precious thing I had everseen when they hatched, more so than all the treasure I had stolen in a lifetime." But his expression darkened. "Aside from one... The smallest dragonet, the runt. He was born with powerful fire... The power to manipulate flame was so rare because most dragonets born with this were killed on the spot," (Cont.)

{Ardens gives a look of true concern.}"What magic does he have? What will happen once the seals break?"

Erwen finally found his father who was sitting in the main hall. Lennox looked deep in thought so Erwen quietly walked over and sat next to him, waiting for him to initiate the conversation.

"I know you'll all find a way to deafeat him." Noxaura smiled at Mac reassuringly but her smiled faded once again. "But you're going to have to do that without me."

"But my Mate refused to kill it... What a horrible mistake... You see, Macgyver has a cursed fire, or magic fire as its called. His flame somehow contracted the curse after birth, like a disease... Well his fire became so powerful, that he burned his two siblings and my mate... Killing them. Just after a week of their hatching! I tolorated Mac after his mother's death, I took care of him for about a year and a half. Then, tired of the constant burns, I tried to kill him. But the little bast.ard used his magic fire, burning my wings away. He escaped to Aqualam somehow... His fire kept him alive... And I was stuck here... I couldn't breathe fire, I was weak... Then I discovered my Mind reading and It made me go insane!" Scratch took a deep breath.
"As for Blackice... He has grown cold, torn between hatred and shame of his daughters, the one who came out wrong... These thoughts drive me to insanity! They never stop..."

Macgyver's smile faltered. "W-what do you mean without you? We need you... I-"
Mac knew where this was going and it tore him.

Avatil paused in thought. "I am not certain of what will happen, but I do know that he'll be bombarded with power he won't know how to control." She turned to and looked at Ardens. "We gave him a very large amount of light magic, ancient light magic. The type used to destroy dark magic and anything bred from evil. Along with a mess of other things, but nothing will be certain until the seals break. He's strong enough to survive the transistion though, I know it."

Noxaura shook her head. "I've hurt too many dragons, and it's my fault that they're dead or going to die soon." She looked at Mac, tears threatening to fall. "I can't control it anymore."

"But- You-" Macgyver was truly lost for words. "You never could've hurt anyone... I don't beleive it..."

"Poor, poor Scratch," Maldius says, hiding his sarcasm, "but perhaps I could... aid you. After all, you've been the champion of my little arena for so long, I think it's about time I reward you... If you choose to be loyal to me, I could let you leave this torture room, roam my fortress, travel with me. You'd be able to properly feed and clean yourself, and, if you stay loyal, perhaps I could even find a way to air your mind reading problem... If you choose to either betray me, or rebel..." Maldius' pupils glow purple as he uses telekinesis to pin Scratch to the wall of his prison cell, before causing ice and stone to completely cover him, leaving only Scratch's head exposed. "... then I suppose I can bring more friends here for you to listen to all day long. How does that sound, hmm?"

{Ardens gives a look of surprise.}"Ancient light magic? Well, that would likely burn Maldius off the face of the world. It seems that you two weren't about to leave Lecra's fate to a coinflip. I admire that. Well then, even if I fail to kill Maldius, the kingdom's in good hands still. I only hope that he protects the peace with his new found power, rather than destroy it."

"I will stay loyal to you.... Master." Scratch said in a creaky voice. He bowed his exposed head.

"I believe in my son, he'll know what to do when the time comes." Avatil smiled. "But I want to be sure he's safe, Maldius will go after him once Lennox is gone and Erwen may not be ready to face him if the time demands it."

Noxaura lowered her head, trying to avoid making eye contact. "I killed them Mac, and more will die if I stay. I can't risk it anymore."

{Azureus stirs from her sleep.}"Eh?"{She notices Nox's tears as she speaks to Mac. She speaks up while yawning.}"What's wrong, Nox? Why are there tears?"

{Ardens smiles at Avatil.}"If that moronic eggplant tries to touch him, you, me, and an army of the undead will be there to stop him. After all, we know all of his weaknesses. This has been most informative. Thank you. Now, return to the cave where Erwen found you, in case he comes back in search of guidance."

Macgyver was about to speak before he heared Azerus. "Azerus! Are you feeling better?"

Laughing darkly, Maldius grins as the ice holding Scratch to the wall begins melting, though the stone begins twisting, forming into an object around the wingless dragon's neck. When the ice melts entirely, the stone finishes its transformation, a jeweled collar in the form of a serpent wraps tightly around Scratch's neck, its eyes glowing with a purple light that fades. "Don't even think about turning against me, the moment I hear of your betrayal, I will hunt you down and drag you back here. Understand?"

"You're welcome." She dipped her head down and left Ardens on his own as she heaed back to the cave.

Noxaura lifted her head to face Azureus. Quickly she wiped her tears away before going to the injured dragon's side. "Azureus, how are you feeling, is there anything I can get you?"

{Azureus smiles at Mac.}"Better than I was feeling before."{She then turns to Nox.}"What's wrong, dear?"

Azureus"I am doing just fine now. You seem to be doing worse than I."

Scratch fell to the ground with a thump, and looked back up to Maldius. "I will never..."
He stood up. "I suppose Blackice and I will be traveling with you?"

{Ardens exits the underground and takes flight towards Solaris.}

Noxaura smiled. "Everything's fine Azureus. Are you sure there's nothing I can do for you?"

"You will be traveling with me, yes. BlackIce will remain here to look after my fortress." Maldius glances at his other remaining prisoners. "... Well, I certainly don't want any more prison breaks while I'm away. How do you feel about ridding my fortress of these rats, Scratch?"

{Azureus looks upon Nox with scrutiny.}"....If you say so. No, I'm fine dear, but thank you. I'll be back to normal by tomorrow."

Noxaura nodded. "Very well then, well if you two are fine I'll be leaving."

Scratch let out a grin. "My pleasure!" He turned to the prison cells. "We are going to have lotsss of fun!"

Macgyver watched the two talking. He stared at his missing leg, letting out a sigh. He moved, groaning. He limped his way over to them, almost loosing his balance on the way.

{Ardens lands at the palace and begins to walk towards the infirmary.}

{Azureus turns and smiles at Mac.}"Well, you seem to be doing better, Mac. I'm glad to see that."

Maldius grins and turns to the staircase, using his telekinesis to open every prison cell. "I'll leave you to your pleasure, then. I'm going to speak with BlackIce, you may return to me after you finish up here." The dark dragon then leavesthe dungeon and climbs the staircase. "BlackIce! Come here, I wish to speak with you."

Blackice sit in main hall pouting

Blackice hearing Mal get up "I'm coming Master! " he run over and bow

"Thanks,I-it's great to see that your doing better" He said to Azurus.
He noticed Nox begining to walk away. "Wait!"

Lennox shifted and aknowledged his son who had been sitting next to him. "I'm sure you have already heard of Maldius' attack." Erwen nodded. "Father, what happened, after I left your study?"

Noxaura stopped and turned to face Mac. "Yes?"

{Ardens hears Mac and Nox and stops just out of sight in the hallway, listening.}

Macgyver hesitated for a moment. Using his wing for support, he pressed the tip of his snout to hers (is that how dragons kiss? XD ) "Just to remind you that we- I- er love you and uh- That you are not a monster- And stuff... Well have a good night!"

"BlackIce, I have decided on your first task," Maldius declares, "I am leaving you in charge of my fortress while I am away. I want this place to look spotless when I return. Understand?"

{After witnessesing this, Azureus gives a wide smile.}"Good night, Mac? It's eight in the morning!"{Azureus begins to laugh.}

(Mac, you're adorable. XP )

Noxaura was shocked by his forwardness. "Y-you have a nice day." Quickly she turned and exited the infirmary. As she exits she notices Ardens, she tilted her head downwards and kept walking, hoping to avoid any kind of conversation.

Macgyver looked out a peeking window behid curtains. "SWEET CHEESE AND CRACKERS!" He lost his balance, toppling over. Blushing furiously, he looked up at Nox. "I-im sorry! I didn't realise the time!"

(Is being the his janitor punishment for trashing the place XD)

Blackice "Yes master! As you wish we will have this place spotless! Your most awesomeness one, and we will await your glorious return Master! "

{Ardens follows closely behind Nox, chuckling deeply.}"He really does care about you. What will you do now?"

He watched her walk away, feeling really stupid. "Ugh whyy did I do that?"

( @Shadow Oh, he hasn't even seen the wrecked room yet XD )

Maldius nods. "Good." Out of the corner of his eye, he notices that something seems awry in one of the rooms of his fortress, and begins walking towards it.

Lennox sighed. "Maldius appeared and took the book, then he went after the others." He froze, his mind had been so distracted he forgot about Noxaura and the four other books.

Noxaura looked away, already feeling the guilt building up. "I'm leaving Aquilam, I can't stand it anymore. I won't let anyone else be hurt on my behalf."

( @Lilly Uh oh, welp, BlackIce is ded. :/)

(Oh boy ice you in trouble now XD)

{Ardens continues to follow.}"You haven't hurt anyone. And your abnormal behavior is soley due to your inability to fully control your magic. If your willing, I can help you."

Walking into the room, Maldius sees... the entire place has been destroyed. One of his statues and a table has been thrown over, various places are covered with ice breath... Snarling, Maldius roars, "BLAACKIIIIIIICCCEEEE!!!"

"That's not it." Noxaura shook her head. "Thank you for the offer but I will be leaving now, I have some items I need to collect."

Macgyver looked down at his feet. "That's not how I thought our first kiss would go" He said glumly. "All hail Macgyver, the king of screw-ups!" He smacked his tail on the ground, irritated.

Blackice flinched at hearing his name being shouted. He rusts over and did a timid low bow "Ma..Master I ..I cant explain! "

{Ardens walks with her as he speaks.}"Very well, if you need to leave, I won't stop you. But, if things ever start to get out of hand, you know where to find me."{He turns and begins to walk back to the infirmary.}

Maldius whips around, grabbing the dark ice dragon by the throat and breathes a puff of mystic fire in his face. "YOU did this, didn't you!?"

{Azureus gazes upon Mac with sympathy.}"Oh, come now, Mac. You didn't screw up. She probably just got a little flustered, that's all. Plus, it's been a hard morning for all of us. I'm sure she just needs some time alone."

"I'll keep that in mind. Goodbye Ardens." She continued walking down the hallway that lead to an exit.

Erwen looked up at his father in disbelief. "I thought you said you were going to keep it safe."

Blackice gasp for air at Maldius grip "Y..Yes! My.. "cough" My... lord!".. wheeze.. "I..I was.. looking..for... you..when.." cough.
2 shadow figures stood in the doorway

Sherry, as she and Adrianne make their way to Lennox, sees Noxaura coming down the hallway and smiles. "Hiyyaa, miss! Uh oh, you look kinda sad. Would a soft blanket make you feel better?" The little dragonet reaches into her bag and pulls out an orange and yellow blanket with flower patterns on it and hands it to Noxaura.

{Ardens adresses Nox as he walks away.}"Goodbye, Nox. Safe travels."

"I guess so..." Macgyver said, curling up. "I just hope I didn't upset her... Or she left." Macgyver paused. "I just hope I didn't..."

Maldius sighs and drops Blackice. "Nevermind the details, just get it cleaned up." He then notices the two shadowy figures in the doorway and raises an eyebrow. "... But first, BlackIce, tell me, do these creatures belong with you? They do not appear... normal."

Noxaura stoped and looked down and the young dragon. "Oh uh, I'd love one." She put on a smile and accepted the blanket, not wanting to be rude. "I don't think I've seen you around here before...where are you from?"

{Azureus' smile shifts.}"Mac, of course you didn't upset her. You've done nothing wrong."

"My name's Sherry! I'm from Chrysos! It's awesome to be here, and it's so nice to meet you!" Sherry says, smiling as if nothing ever made her this happy before. "What's your name, miss?"

Blackice gasp for air and rubbed his neck after a minute "Yes Master... they are my pets" he look at the 2 and a creepy smile crapped on his face his eyes darkened he turned and look at Maldius "...there my dark pets..."

(I just looked over at my cat, and she's sticking her tongue out while she's sleeping.)

"Ah, uh my name is Noxaura, it's a pleasure to meet you Sherry." Nox's smile broadened, it was like this dragonette's happiness was contagious.

"I see... I want to hear more about them after you clean up this room. I'm heading to my throne." Maldius turns and leaves the room, eyeing the shadow beasts curiously as he passes by them.

(Btw guys, Im going out of country for a week on wednesday, so I'll miss the next one)

Scratch slithered up to the top floor, smiling derangely. "Iv'e taken care of your Rat problem, Maldius."

"Noxaura! That's a pretty name! You seem really nice, Noxaura! Can we be friends?" Sherry asks.

Blackice bow "yes master! As you wish! " He began to work on the room.

{Ardens walks into the infirmary and begins to talk to Mac.}"Hey, pal, how are you feeling?"

"Aww, but that's sad! Why would I never see you again?" the little dragonet asks, suddenly hugging Noxaura mournfully.

(Look what you did, Nox. You made Sherry sad.)

"I'm alright, just a little sore." Macgyver said, looking kinda mopey.

Noxaura stood there awkwardly while the young dragon hugged her. "You never know though, maybe our paths will cross again another day?"

(I thought that was impossible, oh gosh I've created a monster)

{Ardens folds his legs underneath himself and sits next to Mac.}"Is that all? You don't sound too happy."

"I hope so, the idea of never seeing my friends again makes me sad..." Sherry says, sniffling a little. "Oh, did you hear about how a dragon named Moldius attacked people this morning?"

"I think I upseted Nox. She just- ran away. I don't know... I'm just worried about her..."
Macgyver sighed.

Noxaura nodded. "I have heard about it, I heard the fight was terrible and that Maldius was very strong." She looked around awkwardly, wondering when this dragonette would decide to leave.

Sherry lets go of Nox and gasps. "Oh no! Did anybody get hurt really bad?"

( Adrianne to Nox she will never leave. ..;p.)

Nox sighed. "A few dragons were hurt, tney're in the infirmary right now. Actually, I just left them, maybe you'd like to see them, cheer the up a bit?"

"Sure! I'm great at cheering people up!" Sherry hugs Noxaura one last time before hopping in the direction of the infirmary. "Bye-bye, miss Noxaura! It was nice meeting you! I really hope we meet again! Oh, and if something ever happens to your blanket, just come find me and let me know! I have plenty more!"

{Ardens chuckles a bit.}"No, she didn't leave because of something you've done. You see, she left because she blames herself for what happened today and she doesn't want it to happen again. This is, of course, completely untrue, but she needs to figure that out for herself, it seems."

Noxaura smiled. "Will do, it was nice meeting you Sherry." She quickly turned a walked down the hallway, she didn't need anymore obstructions. Finally reaching the exit she took to the air and returned to her cave.

Lennox growled at Erwen's accusation. "I didn't expect him to appear right there Erwen."

Macgyver put his hand on his face like he did when he gon nervous. "The way she said it... She made it sound like it would be forever... W-will it? Will I ever see her again? I can barely walk... how would I visit? I-I mean... she probably doesn't want any visitors anyway... I'm probably taking this the wrong way... But we care about her! Why doesn't she se that?!?" Macgyver went quiet after hearing a small voice coming from the enterance.

@Griff Oh, that's bad. I got a tablespoon of water on my 3ds once and it died. Dry it off immediately.)

Erwen sighed. "I don't think anyone has messed up that quickly before. Did you even fight him for it?"
Lennox's eyes narrowed at Erwen's statement.

Noxaura quickly pulled out scrolls and notes that had been hidden all around her cave and placed them in one of the remaining bags she had. When she finished she took one look around then flew out of the cave.

"Miss Azureus?" Sherry runs over to her and stands beside the wounded dragoness, looking at her with much concern. "You're one of the ones that Moldius hurt?"

( @Aggron Don't worry it's dry already, I'm always prepared when there's water near my devices!)

{Ardens whispers to Mac.}"I guarantee you, you'll see her again. I think I know a way to alleviate all of this. We'll talk later, once our guests leave."

( @lilly there just no reason for her to yell at someone XD Sherry does enough talking for the both of them! XD )

Scratch grinned. "Suffering of people you hate feels good" He wiped some blood off of his claws. "Theres no use in fighting, since I can hear everything they think of doing... Aside from you, Maldius. Your mind is quite protected.

Macgyver nodded to Ardens. He noticed Sherry and smiled. "Hello little one! Are you the one who gave me that blanket?"

"Oh," Sherry remarks, thoughtfully cupping her chin in her hand. "But I thought everyone said that he was a scary dragon? And what's a fungus?"

Sherry then turns to Mac and smiles. "Oh, mister, are you Mac? My name's Sherry, I was giving out blankets yesterday! I asked Miss Azureus to give you one, did you like it?"

Adrianne *facepalm*

"My mind is protected? Intriguing. Here, tell me more as we head to my throne." Maldius says, casually meandering toward his throne room.

Macgyver smiled. "Yes, I am Macgyver. That blanket is amazing. You are very talented to have made it!"

"Erwen, where is your dark magic using friend?" Lennox took his chance to change the subject. "She was to fetch the four other books and bring them here."

Erwen debated on whether he should tell his father what Nox had told him. He decided against it quickly. "I saw her in the infirmary last."

{Azureus laughs cheerfully.}"It was a joke, little one. Maldius is a dragon. And a fungus is a type of organism that's like a plant, but is different in how it spreads itself around." (Don't quote me on that.)

Scratch nodded. "Yes, Some dragon's minds are too clouded to read, or I just can't hear anything... "

Macgyver looked at his feet, deep in thought again.

Sherry squeaks and bounces over to Mac's side. "I'm so happy you like my blankets! It's nice to meet you, Mac! Oh, and if you ever want another one, just come find me and let me know, I have plently of blankets-" Sherry suddenly lets out a sharp gasp, "Oh mister Mac! What happened to your arm? You're missing one!"

(Oh. my. goodness! I just got an idea for a RP group pic XD)

At this point, Sherry isn't paying attention to Azureus anymore.

Mac snapped out of his daydreaming. "W-what? Oh yeah, I got into an accident... Heh..."

( @Lilly Ok.){Azureus and Ardens just listen in silence.}

Adrianne * facepalm* //not like you haven't seen one before // she looks at her arm

"Interesting..." Maldius ponders as he enters his impressive throne room. Glancing pridefully around the room, the dark dragon seats himself on the twisted throne and lets out a faint, pleased growl. "Mmm... it's good to be back home."

"That's so sad.. does it hurt, mister Mac? Did Moldius take away your arm?" Sherry sits down beside Mac, looking at his stump of an arm sadly.

"It's very... Welcoming..." Scratch noted, before sitting on the floor.
"What is your maid doing, sir?"

"Occasionally yes it hurts." Mac hesitated for a second. "Yes, Maldius took it" he lied

Lennox stood up and looked down at his son. "Go fetch her then, and make sure the four books are with her."
Erwen looked up at his father, uncertainty written on his face. But he complied and made his way to the infirmary.

( @Shadow What's your idea??)

"Oh, he's cleaning up a room that apparently he himself destroyed." Maldius smirks faintly. "You'd think if he wanted something from me, he wouldn't vandalize my fortress."

"Yes very much so." Said Scratch, his tail tip twirling around as he hummed a tune.

Sherry carefully reaches over and hugs Mac gently. She feels about as warm and soft as the blanket she made for him. "I'm so sorry, that's so sad... why would he take your arm away...?" She asks quietly.

(I'm not sure how to explain it exactly but I'm hoping to put every character that has been active in the RP in it. )

Macgyver accepted the hug. He glanced at Azurus and Ardens for help explaining. "Well- Er- Some dragons don't like others, and they like to take away things they love from them"

(I'll start working on it now and should have a WIP sometimes in the future )

Going silent for a moment, Maldius dispels the illusion magic hiding the bag around his neck, and he pulls it off, removing the book he stole from Lennox as well. He silently examines the book's cover as he holds it in his claws. //It's so tempting to read it myself... but old king Lennox said there were serious side effects...// Maldius considers his options carefully. //Perhaps I can use BlackIce as a guinea pig... I am loathe to give such a source of power away, but first I will see the effects it has on him...//

{Azureus joins in.}"Yes, well, Maldius isn't a very nice dragon like the rest of us. He takes pleasure in the suffering of others."{Ardens the pipes up.}"Yes, he's an embodiment of everything that's wrong with this world."

Erwen made his way to the infirmary quickly. When he arrived he noticed the four dragons already inside and decided to stay out in the hallway and listen from there.

"Very pretty Scrap book, Maldius... It looks very dark and evil..." Scratch chuckled, before getting a hard look at the book.

"... I bet he must be sad, too..." Sherry says after a long, thoughtful pause. "Some of the mean dragons I've met have been mean because they're sad, and they're just trying to hide it." She pauses again, letting go of Mac, before looking at Ardens. "Oh, I'm sorry, mister! I didn't notice you! What's your name?"

Maldius grunts. "This is no scrap book, Scratch. This book is powerful, dangerous, full of ancient magic..."

"Hmmm... Evil scrapbook... Delightful..." Scratch turns his head. "I bet Noxuara is missing her evil book."

{Ardens looks at Sherry.}"Hello, little one. My name is Ardens, count of Aquilam. What's your name?"

Maldius grins. "Oh yes, she is. I hope she's miserable. I find her rather... ob//nox//ious."

(Ohhh Mal your not getting back at ice for wrecking your room now are you ;))

"Hmph... Wonderfull joke there, have you ever considered being a stand up comedian? My son is the complete oposite of that..." Scratch streched, picking dust out of his claws.

"I'm afraid that most dragons would be offended by my sense of humor, Scratch. Last I checked, ripping someone's toes off and forcing him to eat them was considered a crime. Unfortunate, really." Maldius pauses a moment, looking towards the doorway leading into the throne room. "I suppose I'll wait 'till my butler finishes cleaning, I have plans for him. Care to tell me more about your son, Scratch?"

Sherry smiles at Ardens and gets up. "My name's Sherry! I'm from Chrysos! Are you a friend of mister Mac's?"

"Hmph... I suppose so..." Scratch chuckled at the toe statement. "Well my son is madly in love with that Nox brat... Always has... His mind is quite jumbled, he is deathly afraid of fighting, and is constantly scared of burning everyone... Pretty vulnerable, he would make a terrible lawyer, in my opinion." Scratch burst out laughing at that part, despite the fact that it was very random.

{Ardens speaks calmly to the dragonet.}"Yes, he's my friend. You came from Chrysos? I have a friend who lives there. What brings you to Aquilam?"

(Quick quiestion @Aggron, did Ardens want to say something of importance to mac? Because Ill have to be heading to bed soon)

Maldius chuckles as well. "Oh yes, I've known he is a gullible little flaming gecko. The fact he's in love with Noxaura is troubling. I'll need to slowly sever the trust between them, divide them, tear them apart..."

"I'm here to give out blankets to grumpy dragons, so everyone can be happy! I figured Aquilam dragons are grumpy because they're cold and they don't have any blankets to keep themselves warm!" Sherry then brings out another blanket from her bag and hands it to Ardens. "Would you like one, Mister Count Ardens?"

Erwen quietly watched the dragons interact. He'd never been in close proximity to a dragon from Chrysos on such peaceful terms before.

( @Turtlee he was just going to talk to him about curing his curse and getting him some grade A Chrysos automail.(Prostetic limbs) It can wait.)

{Ardens accepts the blanket.}"Why, thank you."{Azureus speaks up}"Better give him two! He's an extra grumpy dragon!"{Azureus laughs while Ardens laughs sarcastically.}"Ha, ha. I might be grumpy at times, but I'm nothing compared to the dragon eavesdropping on us right now."{Ardens motions towards Erwen.}

(Wow, everyone's suddenly leaving! XP )

(Maybe we shouldn't go to 2-3 a.m. this time :p)

Sherry turns to look at Erwen, surprised. "Oh, it's a sneaky dragon!" After getting a good look at him, she exclaims, "Wow, you have pretty feathers! And your eyes are cool, I think it's so cool how your left eye looks different from your right eye! What's your name, mister?"

(Yaaaaaay!)

Erwen puffed up his chest and tried to keep a straight face even as the dragonette complemeted him. "I am Prince Erwen. And I am not grumpy." He aimed the second comment towards Ardens.

Sherry's eyes go wide. "Ooooh, so you're Mister King Lennox's son? You do kinda look like him!" Sherry smiles happily and hops around a bit. "It's nice to meet you, Mister Prince Erwen! I really like your dad!"

{Upon hearing the remark, Ardens smiles malignantly at Erwen.}

Erwen watched the young dragon bounce around in surprise. "How could you like him? All he does is lecture and read." He shook his head. "Don't call me mister, it makes me feel old!"

"OK, Mister Prince Erwen, I won't call you 'mister' anymore. And Mister King Lennox is quiet and really nice, he makes me think of my dad when he was still around..." Sherry replies, her energetic spirit dimming as she speaks those last five words. Sherry pauses a moment, looking at the ground before reaching into her bag and pulling out yet another blanket, offerring it to the Prince. "Would you like a blanket, Mist-Prince Erwen?"

{Ardens watches silently while Azureus watches with a slightly worried expression.}

Erwen was mildly shocked at the sudden lack of energy. He looked between the drogonette holding the blanket to Ardens then to Azureus. He tossed away the stoic expression and smiled at Sherry. "I would love a blanket, it looks wonderfully crafted."

Sherry smiles again and hands the blanket to Erwen. "I'm really happy you like it. Oh yeah! Is Mister King Lennox OK? I heard a mean dragon named Moldius attacked last night, and I'm just kinda worried if Mister Lennox is OK... but since he's not here, that means he's not hurt, right?"

{Ardens smiles//Looks like Avatil did better than I thought. Excellent.//Azureus gives a sigh of relief and smiles warmly at this.}

"My father is fine, he's just a bit...cranky at the moment." Erwen hesitated. "You know, you shouldn't be the only one giving presents to everyone. I don't have anything on me now, but is there anything you would like?" Erwen smiled. "After all you've been doing a great job cheering up the grumpy dragons."

{Upon hearing this, Ardens' expression changes to one of genuine surprise. //My, Avatil really changed his mind. She will be quite pleased to hear this.// Azureus' expression becomes even more joyfull at this.}

"Oh no! Did he lose the blanket I gave him? Does he need another one?" Sherry looks worried about Lennox for a moment, but hearing Erwen's offer, she smiles. "Aww, that's so nice of you, Prince Erwen! Um... really I'm just really happy to be able to visit Aquilam. It's been a really fun adventure! Aquilam is a really pretty land! And I've made new friends too, like Mister King Lennox, and Noxaura, and Mac, and Mister Ardens, it's been a blast! Prince Erwen, uhm, could we be friends too?"

(Le gasp. The Prince of Poultry, friends with a Chrysos dragon? This is the true test!)

Erwen had be able to spot Ardens' look of surprise and was beaming with pride over his accomplishment. He chuckled. "No he has his blanket, I saw it in is study." He thought about Sherry's offer before nodding his head. "Of course we can be friends! Who wouldn't want to be friends with you?"

( @Lilly Totally! Let's watch what happens!)

Sherry squeaks and hugs the Prince. Yay! That makes me so happy! Thank you, Prince Erwen!"

(He did it! He's nice now!){Ardens looks at the floor and grins in disbelief. //Well, I'll be, he actually did it! He actually dropped his hatred.// Azureus has on the most pleased look she's ever had.}

Erwen froze for a second not knowing how to respond. Slowly he hugged Sherry back. //This is weird, this is very weird.//

(See! Erwen can be nice!)

"Hey, Prince Erwen, do you know what I think would be the best thing ever?" Sherry asks, still hugging Erwen happily.

(I bet our good friend Mister Crowley would be extremely upset if he saw/heard about this.)

Erwen looked between Azureus and Ardens for some kind help with the dragonette that was still hugging him. "No, what would be the best thing ever?"

(Oh dear Crowley might be grumpy enough for //two// blankets)

Sherry lets go of Erwen and looks up at him, beaming. "I think it'd be great if everyone just stopped fighting, and everyone became friends with each other. I think that would be the best thing ever. I'd like to see if I can make people happy by being nice and friendly with them, so maybe I can help make things better. I know my mom and dad would be proud of me."

Erwen smiled. "That would be pretty great wouldn't it?" He relished his personal space now that she had finally let go. "I'm sure you can make things better as long as you try your best."

{Rather than help in any way, Ardens and Azureus just keep smiling at Erwen.}

Sherry nods enthusiastically. "Yeah, I'll do my very best! I'll be the very best! Maybe I should try to cheer up Mister King Lennox next! I don't want him to be cranky!"

(Hey guys, while I hate to quit, I need to get going soon TAT )

Erwen laughed nervously. "I'm sure he'll be back to his usual self soon. I think he just wants to be alone right now."

"Oh... he wants to be alone? OK... well, next time you see him, can you tell him I said hi and that I'm glad he didn't get hurt by Moldius?" Sherry asks, tilting her head slightly.
