It's okay Dark Icarus, no need to say sorry! I know might be embarrassing you with advice you already know, and I'm sorry if I'm just making you seem witless (but you're not and you're really smart), but I actually once was in the same state as you and it wasn't doing any good to me. I used to hate myself really much and often laughed in irony when I was sad. I wanted to give up. I later decided that this mindset was the only thing making me weak, so I hapharzdly ended up with a certain book called 'God Doesn't Blink' which, has beautiful messages that apply to everyone, not just Christians. It was written by a lady who suffered with breast cancer after just achieving being a writer when she'd previously had a depressing childhood and many years of therapy. If there were a few things I'd like to share, I'd love to tell you that life is too precious to wait until you're too sad. I know your situation is really tough, but endurance is key to victory.
