Alkian Cores receive their symbols in dreams when they are young. These dreams are heavy with symbolism (HAHA), usually show bits of the future in some way, along with the presentaion of their symbol: The identifying mark that other Cores can now recognize as them. After this, the Core can link with other Cores.
Linking in important to Cores socially, it allows them to share feelings, memories, thoughts, dreams, ideas, pretty much anything they want to.
