His body hurt. His arms felt like worn out rubber bands and his legs were cramping.
Every step toward his bed felt like his legs were popping out of joint. And that's not even including his backside....
He gingerly pulled up his pants as he made his way, his arms shaking like jello from the tinge of strain.
He made it, and flopped onto the rigid matress like a sack of rocks.
He heard him moving around the cell. His bunkmate Gregor.
He was a huge man, in for various crimes... most more unpleasant than even murder. Zak was thankful that a little 'lovin' got him out of serious trouble with the sasquatch look-a-like.
But it was a serious hassle even so.
He lay there gently huffing to regulate his breath.
An officer came through the doors and a buzzer sounded off behind him.
"All right! Free time you bunch of animals!" The officer spat out to the inmates.
The doors all grinded open and the prisoners filed out.
Zak still lay on his bed though.

Gregor plodded to the door and spotted his bed mate so sprawled and made his way back to him to lean in his ear while running his rough gruff mit through Zak's silvery locks.
"That was good pretty boy. We'll have more later..." He said and licked wettly inside his ear.
Zak's body tightened in revulsion but he dared not show it on his face, he remained emotionless through it - just stared out through the bars as the cop watched the whole thing.
Too common place was this for tne officer to even cough an intrusion...
Gregor chuckled darkly and pushed up from his grip on Zak's head to stand forcing his delicate head into the brick wall.
Gregor then lumbered out like an orange clad bear leaving Zak alone on his mattress.
He was used to this. Numb almost. He was too weak with the device in his neck that limited his vampire powers to even fight off a meaty human.
"Pathetic..." He said sadly getting up on his elbows.
As he did another inmate was passing by.

One much smaller and quieter than most.
Zak put on a smile.
"Hello Nate." He said as chipper as he could manage.
Nate looked at him sadly. His cell was next to Zak and Gregor's so he knew exactly what the petite man had to endure.
He stood mulling a bit trying to think of something to say, to comfort maybe... but Zak spoke first.
"It's ok. I really don't mind." He half lied to him. "It's sure better than getting punched or shived!" He ended in a struggled laugh that wasn't returned by Nate.
Zak used to be a therapist and could judge Nate's feelings.
"Look... Nate..." But this time he was interupted.
The doors came open again but this time it was two officers dragging an unconcious man inside, his arms over their shoulders.
The duo watched curiously. It wasn't so rare an occurance to see inmates dragged in, but this one was definately not human normal.
He was skinny and had long ears with white hair.
Non human inmates were a bit of a special occuasion... But both were worried.

The guards took him to the back empty cell and tossed him in closing and locking his door. They then passed by Zak and Nate and gave them warning glares.
"Mind yourselves inmates..." The nearer one said as they went out the way they'd came.
Zak forced his tired body onto his feet.
He tip toed over to the cell where he's strewn over his cot like bed like a drunk friend after a hard night. He was breathing and making noises.
Zak creeped back to his cell looking for something.
Nate watched but finally had to speak.
"W...what are you doing Zak?"
"He's new and has a scar. He looks sorta... wild I guess. But I think it would be good to make nice with him. Maybe get him on our side. He's a mythic, maybe a useful one!"
He clambered through until he found a sharpened toothbrush he kept hidden behind a loose brick. "O good! It's still here!"
Nate looked on but couldn't argue the logic. He pattered up with Zak to the newbie's bars just as the odd fellow was starting to sit up.

The inmate slid slowly off his cot with his thin paper like sheets, having to catch himself by the frame to save his tailbone from a hard hit on the cement floor.
Zak and Nate looked on but both jolted as the stranger looked up and his eyes glowed in the dim light and he growled aloud.
"Get a good show? What the f.uck do you two want from me?" He spat steadying himself.
Zak cleared his throat and held out the hand made shiv.
"We just wanted to welcome you to Mathews Correctional Facility." He said as sweetly as he could not wanting to anger this unknown man. Nate stood a bit closer to Zak, suddenly unsure of this whole plan.
The white haired stranger came to the bars and gripped the shiv, his long black nails scraping Zak's palm leaving little trails of red behind that he flinched to.
He loomed down at them through the bars, his green eyes like a wild animals.
But Zak was resolved to get on his good side.
"What's your name? I'm Zak and this is Nate?"
....
There was a long pause.

"....Ronaharee... that's the name of the man getting out of here..."
