Cloud Strife by Time Paladin
Final Fantasy VII
I've wanted to draw Cloud ever since he was announced for Smash Bros., but a lot of things came up and I never got a chance until now. -u-" I always liked Cloud as a character. Final Fantasy VII's popularity can be controversial at times, with a lot of people calling the game and its characters overrated. For me personally, it really does stand out a lot in the Final Fantasy series with its unique and memorable cast of characters, and the events that take place in the story are some of the most iconic in gaming. I can't really say what it is I like about Cloud in particular. I mean, he has a really cool design and personality, but there were other characters I could say I liked much better. When Cloud was announced for Smash Bros. though, I got really excited for his inclusion, more so than with nearly every other character that was announced for the game. It could just be hype, yet I can't help but feel like there's a bit more to it than that. Regardless, I still think he's a good character, and I'm looking forward to seeing him and the rest of the FFVII cast make their big comeback in upcoming years.

I like how you drew him in a style similar to his official art for FF:VII. It looks cool with your style intertwined with it. The background looks cool, too, and you did everything really well!

I never got to play a Final Fantasy game :( I mean, I played Explorers but... *sigh* But I DID play Kingdom Hearts and I don't know about what he's like in FF but he's is awesome in KH!

@Joseph-Gee: There's been some confusion as to what his personality is as of late. Most people seem to think he's an "emo" type character, though that's hardly true for most of the original game. It's only in the sequel movie, Advent Children, where he starts getting really depressed from all the stuff that happened in the game, and nearly every portrayal of him since then has been "Emo Cloud." :/ I'd say his appearnce in KH1 captures some of his original personality. His interactions with Hades reminds me a bit of his introduction in FFVII. Smash Bros is also pretty accurate 'cause it doesn't try to really show his personality that much, so they can't get anything wrong. XD

^I'd say whatever it is you liked about him in KH is pretty much in FFVII, and then some. : )

I really hope this game comes to Nintendo platforms, I really want to play it. Plus he's an awesome character from Sm4sh. Awesome drawing Time Paladin! : D I love what you dis with the outlines'shading, and the background looks JUST like Midgar!

Nice! I love Final Fantasy and I was shocked to see Cloud in Smash. I remember hearing the music in the trailer and thinking of Final Fantasy but I did not expect a FF character at all XD
