I only started playing the mass effect games earlier this year and they are absolutely amazing. I didn't know what to expect when I first bought mass effect 3 but it blew my mind with the emphasis on the story, characters, and difficult choices. I recently finished the first and second games early this summer and they were just as exciting and addictive. Best game series I've ever played
I will start on the next character sketch soon but this took a lot longer than I expected. This was supposed to be the easiest character portrait

Sweet painting. Been years since I played Mass Effect 3! I always enjoy dealing with all the different companions.
Is it me or are the only "real" painters on Colors on non-3ds devices? All the old guys (Aaron Leonard, Senco, the$t*, etc.) have been gone for a while (or others just upload VERY few and far between). We're mostly left with an overabundance of anime and canines.

@assassin667: well, the majority of Colors artists I personally admire the most are none 3ds users because they were posting pictures before Colors was even on the 3ds. Regardless of the platform, I figure the painters that are really serious about art that you mention are most likely busy with more important stuff to be consistently posting on here. That said, there are still some new artists appearing with a lot of impressive artwork, you just have to look for them.
You could always try to galvanise the site yourself and try to inspire people to really push their talent further. I would, but my own motivation is not very consistent

It's media like Mass effect, Started, Starcraft, etc.., that I love to explore and and seek inspiration through, for the occasional space scape painting. Sci-fi and fantasy go great together.

@The Adjudicator: I only recently discovered the mass effect games, I'm not usually a fan of sci fi games/movies etc, but these games are the best video games I've ever played.
I've always been a big fan of fantasy and spacey sci fi artwork. Maybe the mass effect games will inspire me to try some new artwork. I am thinking about attempting some planet or galaxy paintings
