Nekomata sketches (part 1) by _Shiki_
So, I really like the design I made for nekomatas as a race, so I thought about doing it an original race of mine! There are the four main tribes sketches. This is the female version with tribe descs. Male version (nekomata chieftains, since males are incredibly rare) coming soon! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Saatzara tribe
This tribe is composed mainly by air, electric and light elementals. Their territory, in the middle of a jungle, is often situated very high from the ground: Their villages have houses carved in big trees, and they move using suspended bridges. Fast and not very resistant, these nekomatas are hard to catch. Their original form are not massive, but are the fastest ones. Their culture is strictly connected with animals, and they use lots of feathers to decore themselves.

Ilraei tribe
Ice, nature and water elemental are the most common in this tribe. Situated in the north pole area or in other very cold places, this tribe's traditions are based on hunting and fishing. These kind of nekomatas are used to rigid temperatures, and they're the strongest magically. Their original forms have really long and soft furs, usually white, and they're not bipedal.

Tokuu tribe
Fire, earth and metal are the elements that mainly compose this tribe. Phisically strong, this tribe is situated generally near volcanos or deserts, and are used to harsh temperatures. Work is almost sacred between this tribe: Their villages are full of forges, carpentries and armories. Their original forms are massive, and can be more than 8mt tall.

Kura Takeo tribe
Also known as the forbidden tribe, is populated by poison, dark and eerie users. It's said they used to be part of the Tokuu tribe, and then they were separated from them. These nocturnal creatures are the rarest. Their traditions and religion are similar to the civilized races: Masters of technology, they live along with robots, androids, cyborgs and golems. Their original form are pitch black with vivid coloured simbols on their fur. They can see perfectly in darkness, so they move covered by the night. Differently than the other tribes, they prefer to move alone rather than in patches.
