Very nice use of earthy tones. Do you haphazardly paint and let the strokes lie where they lay or take it slow and methodical. Probably both. Great job.
Thanks, guys. @Gaz: Sorry, I ditched it. I just can't get into plein-air on the 3DS, but I did a PS paint on my laptop. I'll drop it on my blog, or I can email it to you. @Saaytin: I tend to throw big brush strokes down and trust my subconscious, try to work fast, and certainly never methodical. I don't have the patience for that. ;)
Oh ok shame I was looking forward to seeing it,, hope you continue your plein air with your old ds at some point as they are fantastic, I'll take another look at your blog, if you could e mail it me would be fantastic, I'd love that also looking at your blog I can peek at the Y Garn painting I love so much again. Cheers for that much appreciated :))
@Gaz: Sorry to disappoint. I just can't be doing without pressure sensitivity for plein-air. Don't worry, I'll continue using my rusty old DS until we get a new portable version of Colors! with pressure sensitivity! If you drop me an email (see blog) I'll throw you a bigger version of Tryfan than whatever I upload.
Thx munin, so glad you r going to continue with your open air painting, I still havnt completed a painting on the 3Ds yet , i don't know what it is but I'm struggling to get on with it compared to painting on I phone, I shall perceiver with it tho, although personally I prefer traditional painting to 3d, I looked at your blog the other day, it's fantastic, and was still dribbling over the Y Garn painting, I tried to send you an email but it wouldn't send, so I've got to sort my e mail out first but will re sent when I've sorted it out, thx again :))
@Gaz: I feel your 3DS tribulations. It's a great program, given the limits of the format, but doesn't really fit into my way of working - plein-air or otherwise. Things are tough enough with screen glare without adding additional hurdles. Hold out 'til some time next year. ;) Pleased you enjoyed some of the work on my blog. I've got a bunch of stuff to upload soon. My email link works fine, so if you can't get in touch you'll have to settle for a smaller Tryfan.
Hi munin, e mail won't be a problem, when I tried to send it kept asking for my password and I've forgotten it, so it's just a case of re setting it, i liked all the work on your blog, luv the sea scapes, your talent seems to have no limits which I envy ,
Yeah the screen is very reflective on the 3ds, bet it's a nightmare painting in the open air, to be honest I've spent more time playing FIFA than painting on it lol, I'm definatly going to paint something on it tho, anyway I'll look forward to seeing your uploads and eagerly await receiving the LARGE TRYFAN painting, can't wait, oh a bit of info for you in case u don't know , it's pronounced treh- van and means three peaks, :)
