- Chapter 6 -

Morning had arived and propper introductions were made to Wraithella and TeslaGlow once everyone was awake. No one felt like going through introductions after fighting off a mutated Timber Wolf yesterday nd DarkSage, Wraithella and TeslaGlow all fell asleep quickly.

DarkSage was the last to fall asleep, overjoyed to finally see GrayShade and BlueBird.

It was't long before Alexla stood up and got everyones attention. " Right... Now that DarkSage, GrayShade and their son are safe, EverTide found Sinatra and VelvetMystery, and we also have Wraithella and TeslaGlow, let's get one thing clear before arguements start in the future. This is a survival situation and we need to asign a leader. I hope you're not ignorant enough to vote for yourself either because it doesn't work like that. " She announced.
" Psh... Way to boost everyone's confidence, princess... " EverTide muttered sarcasticly, and the two glared at each other.

" Now, one vote per pony. Wraithellla, you may start and go from there. " Alexla looked over at her and Wraithella put a hoof to her chin, looking at everyone. " Hmm... I vote DarkSage! He can kill stuff really easily. " She said with a smile and DarkSage cast her a slightly disturbed look. " Yes... Not something I'm proud of... " He mumbled. " Ahem... My vote goes to Alexla for looking over BlueBird and GrayShade... I am in her debt... " He said, in a much more serious tone.
" I hate to be biased but I vote DarkSage. He's intelligent and strong. " GrayShade said, and BlueBird nodded, seconding his vote.
TeslaGlow looked over at Alexla and thought for a moment. " I vote Alexla.. " She said nervously, wondering if this was going to take a turn.
" DarkSage... " Alexla said.
Sinatra and VelvetMystery both pointed a hoof at Alexla and EverTide huffed, shaking his head' " Ahh, leave it to me... I vote DarkSage. " He said, chuckling.

" Oh well done. " Alexla rolled her eyes. TeslaGlow looked at the two, worried. " How do we decide if it's tied? " She asked, and Wraithella jumped between them. " They battle to the death! " She announced excitedly. GrayShade quickly cut in. " Or. " He shot Wraithella a look and she giggled, backing away. " They both share the title. I know DarkSage, obviously, and I trust him with my life. I know he'd do what's best for everypony. Alexla is also a very capable leader. She led us here and protected us... I think having both as leaders would serve everypony well. "

" That sounds like the best thing to do. " TeslaGlow agreed with a smile. Wraithella nodded and Sinatra and VelvetMystery had no complaints. EverTide stayed quiet. BlueBird knew it wasn't his place to say anything.
" Well..? Can you two agree on that? " GrayShade asked.
DarkSage and Alexla stared at each other for a long moment before a slight grin apeared on Alexla's face. The two turned back to GrayShade, nodding.

" I think we can make that work. " She said. DarkSage closed his eyes snd thought for a moment, letting out a sigh. " Yes... We can both lead... That would be the smartest thing to do. "
Alexla turned to everyone, announcing their next move. " Alright everypony. You heard the stallion. Me and DarkSage are going to have a talk about where we're heading next... Until then, get as much rest as you can. We may be walking for a while. "

DarkSage and Alexla trotted off, getting a little peace and quiet to talk alone. They heard the others talking and laughing in the distance and decided they were far enough. " You think we can do this? " She asked DarkSage, giving him a look. DarkSage nodded slightly, staying silent. Alexla chuckled, sitting down as DarkSage began to pace. " You don't talk much, do you? "
DarkSage gave her a quick glare and continued pacing. " My point prove-.. "
" Only when it's necessary... " DarkSage huffed, and Alexla shot him a look.

" I see... Well, if you would talk now, I'd appreciate it. We need to figure out what to do next. Now that everypony's together, we need to figure out to go, what to do, and get them to safety. Who knows what's been lurking around here and possibly been stalking us. " Alexla told him.
DarkSage nodded. " GrayShade told me you and him were attacked by a small band of ponies trying to steal your supllies... Is that true..? "
Alexla nodded. " Yes. There were three of them but I scared them off when I wounded one of them with my magic. The one I wounded gave me a warning and I'm not sure if I should be afraid or chalk it up to him just being angry I scared them off. "
" What did he say? " DarkSage looked at her, curious.
" He rambled on about something... Somepony's name but I didn't quite catch it. " Alexla explained. DarkSage thought for a moment before dismissing it. " That's something we'll have to worry about another time. We need to focus on where to go next. "

Alexla nodded in agreement. " You're right. Do you have any ideas at all? Somewhere that might be safe? " She asked.
DarkSage began to pace again. " I was thinking Manehatten might be safe. A city like that must have been protected from whatever it is that's going on by Canterlot's royal gaurd. I can't immagine the princesses would let a city like that fall. " Sage said and Alexla gave him a slight smile. " Great minds think alike... Alright. I'll fill the others in on where we're going. It'll be quite the walk... A few weeks at least without the train. Why don't you and Tesla get things ready to go. Saddlebags, supplies, things like that. " Alexla said, and the two trotted back to the others. " I think we can make this work... " DarkSage said, looking over at her.
" I need you to promise me something though... " Alexla stopped him. " You're a leader... We both are... You need to be ready to do anything to protect these ponies... " She said. DarkSage cast her a sideway glance.

" I'm already ready to do what I have to... Now you need to promise me something. If something happens to me, you look after GrayShade and BlueBird... You don't let anything happen to those two... " He said, and Alexla fell silent for sevral seconds.

" I promise... "

So.. I'm not sure if you're aware but recently I've taken back some adopts, Evertide being 1 of them. I'm sorry if this ruins your story but I would appreciate it if you didn't use him, if that's not possible then could you just not tag him?
