Re: No. This rich guy was 'in love' with her, and since the family was poor, her mother jumped at the chance for love and money. But, being the douche he was, he didn't want her children. Desperate, she drowned her eldest daughter. She tried to drown the youngest, but Lydia locked her sister in a cupboard. Their mother gave up and left with the man, saying she only had one child. So, yah. There's the story. It's like the famous ghost story, but it's with two girls and one survived. c:
