Cliff follows the heroes as they re-group at the inn. He waits outside as he watches the soldiers go inside.

"Well, I followed them to their hideout, just like the boss asked. I don't know though, something doesn't feel right. Those people seem a bit more tense than usual, even for someone in the middle of a fight. What to do, what to do."

He continues to wait outside, but someone from inside already notices his presence.

Acen:"Oh.Hello Nicolette.Perfect timing.We could use your help.

(It's ok.So we're in the middle of battle or are we preparing for one?)

(^It sounds like everyone's waiting for Inky to come back with the antidote. I guess in the meantime you can talk battle strategies or just have general conversations. However, I'm still new to this, so I can't say for sure what's going on.)

(Ok.So we'll just finish regrouping and then maybe start a fight before Micah arrives.Just so we can get things moving)

(Actually, I believe Devina { @Allure's character} needs to encounter the Royals first before the actual battle begins, as reinforcements arrive to aid her in the battle.)

"I came to ask why you're outside the inn.It's dangerous to be out here,even if you look tough."

Cliff: [Drat, looks like I've been spotted. Actually, this might be good time to ask.] "Oh, nothing really. Say, what's the deal with the group of people that just entered the inn? Are they in some sort of trouble?"

Acen:We're trying to get medicine for friends of ours.They were injured recently.But we're also fighting a group of bandits so we came here to hide out a bit and rest so we can go finish them off.What about you? What's your business here?"
*cues:Come join us. XD*

Cliff: Before I can answer that, I must ask. Who are you exactly?

Acen:[Might as well tell him..]"I'm Prince Acen of Xalys.The people in our inn consists of members from the Ajerican League.

Cliff: Wait, you're the lord of Xalys? No wonder you guys got a bunch of concerns. You're in the middle of a skirmish and yet you have a country to run. I guess I won't try to hide it. I was actually sent by said bandits to track you guys down and report your position, but I got this strong vibe from your group that you were dealing with a lot. So I'll tell you what, I'll help you guys out, 'cause it'd weigh on my conscious otherwise.

Acen:"Really? Thank you! I truly appreciate the help.We need all the help we can get."

Acen:(to Xelle)"I guess,but I think it's all on what the other person believes in fighting for"
( @Cliff)"You have my gratitude! But uhh what's your name?

Cliff: Shakes hand, then speaks to Ace & Xelle "At the very least I can help you out of this situation. After that though, you'll have to employ me if you want my services. It's nothing personal, I'm a mercenary after all, and I get the feeling I'm going to lose my current job after this."

Name's Cliff by the way.

Acen:"Sure,I understand.You have to make a living.I don't have much on me right now but the least I can do I give you this for now.*hands Cliff a small pouch of silver and gold*

Cliff: "Oh, thanks! I'm gonna go ahead and buy a nice, cold drink. I'm feeling a bit... overheated." Starts to wobble a bit as he walks into the inn.

Reuben had fallen asleep in the chair and awoke to all the people in the inn. He rose. "You aren't embarrassing lord Acen again are you?" He said to Madi and Xelle (Our characters haven't encountered eachother in the rp, but they're all retainers of Lord Acen, so they obviously know eachother, if you don't know my character is basically me xD. He's a mymidon named Reuben)

She turned to Acen. "Oh good, I figured I'd need some help. The woman who gave this to me said that we need to apply it to the wound with some bandages. We also need to make sure they don't get hurt any further, but that's not gonna happen." She handed Ace a bottle with a salve. "I'm going to go get some bandages. Do what you will."

Cliff: To Chef Finni "I dunno. The group I was working with were kinda boneheads. They sent me to do reconnaissance when clearly I'm not good at stealth. They could have a healer, but I doubt it, and I wouldn't know if they did."

"But hey, I could probably give you more info on them it it would be helpful."
(I was going to ask, are these bandits already established, and if not, can I go ahead and just make stuff about them?)

(Actually, just pretend that Cliff gave them info on the bandits while everyone's getting ready. It's probably not something I should deal with.)

Rubio begins to become antsy as he has waited numerous hours for the group to arrive. He stats to scan the room that shelters the two injured royals. All of a sudden, his nose picks up a sweet aroma and his feet begin drifting to the area in which it came.

Kath: *walks towards Xelle Reuben and Madelyn* so so you are Lord Acens retainers*shakes hands with each one of em* glad to meet ya.

Reuben: "Hello, it's nice to meet you as well. My name is Reuben"

After some time, she walked out to meet the rest of the group. "Alright, now we wait."

Cliff: "Uh, the bandits that've been giving you guys trouble. : I

She sighed. "You were with the Bael Marauders? Gods, good thing you're out of there. Gelvak isn't exactly someone you would want to stay around. I was with him a while back, but not by choice."
(Sure, let's go for it. I'm only going to be awake for 45 minutes ish, so I hope we can get stuff done by then.)

Nicolette held a hand out. Clearing her throat she spoke up. "G'day. My name is Nicolette."

Reuben came rushing into the inn

"Milord! Everyone! Marauders are coming from the west side of town!" he shouted.

(Time Paladin, just so you know, the bad guys are known as The Bael Marauders, lead by a Berserker-classed man, #Gelvak /<see tag if you wish/.

one of the elites is a man named Tybalt [played by Inky], a Wyvern Rider, who usually doesn't die cuz he's a reoccurring character)

Cliff: "Yeah, they're not gonna be happy when I find out I've turned on them. Oh well, looks like it's time for some action." Turns to Micah and the others "Looks like we'll have to continue this conversation another time."

She turned in shock. "What?! How'd they find us here?! This is supposed to be a safe haven!"
She drew Gale Edge and walked towards the door. "Granted its the marauders we're dealing with, they probably sent in a good amount of troops. We need to be able to fight them off with as little casualties as possible.. And that includes villagers. Acen, since you're Royal, I'm pretty sure you're in charge."

"I'm particularly good at taking out armored units, so just send me in the direction of a knight or cavalier and I'll deal with them."

"Well, since no one has any manners, I shall take my leave to the battle." She flaps her wings loudly and flies away

(In addition to Gills's comment, Argon is currently under Gelvak's employ, but he finds Gelvak's morals to be questionable at best. The only things keeping him with the Marauders are Tybalt, whom Argon has a lot of respect for, and Devina, who's Tybalt's daughter. I get to have lots of fun playing with his mind! Will he stay with the bad guys and stick by his friends, or will he join a better cause and lose them?)

"Marauders?! *takes her lance* well then, lets see what they got*gets on her pegasus*

Nicolette landed a couple feet away from the enemies

Acen dropped his head a bit. "Is it always fighting at every town we visit? These people don't need their home invaded." he drew Solias as he turned with Micah. "Reuben, Madelyn, Xelle, let's go!"

(Hm, I'm not sure if I'll be able to move tonight as the time when I send the 3DS to bed draws near {look at that, irony has turned on me. Guess I deserved that}, but I'll be sure to get right on it tomorrow!)

"I will protect my liege with my life!" Nicolette shouts as she begins to transform into her dragon form

( @Jon Sounds like a unique dilemma. It's almost like the Conquest or Fates decision, yet it's a greater contrast between what's right and wrong. I like it! : )

Nicolette spotted Acen and let out a roar, alerting him of the enemy she spotted behind him

(Reuben was already in the inn, but thanks Gills '^-^) Reuben drew his blade and followed Acen out. "Another fight already?! Oh well we'll just have to finish this quick!"

Cliff finds a couple of knights protecting a mage. He motions someone (whoever wants to take part) to follow him. He slams his sword into one of the knights, knocking him into the other and taking both of them down in one swing, leaving the mage wide open to attack.

(rAIN DO IT! Also pretend that Rubio was with the group the whole time sleeping or something idk)

Rubio awakes to the sound of battle cries and iron clashing in the distance. He leaps up from his position and scrambles outside to see a skirmish between friends and unknown foes. Beginning to cry and wheeze, he finds a woman wielding a staff (Xelle) and hugs her leg tightly.

He sneezes and then wipes his snot on her skirt.

Nicolette gets hit from behind. Though she felt little pain due to her strong dragonskin, she found herself knocked back into her human form

(The time approaches, but I'll get done what I can {plus, it helps that Argon doesn't really need to be present until near the end}!)

(uhhhh guys the battle hadn't exactly started yet cuz I think the marauders were gonna say something about finding Devina (and Argon) and then attack the group for not surrendering, but I guess we could just start banging heads together? xD)

Now that he had his sword back, Argon rubbed his chin and looked around for something else that he could use to retrieve the apple, as he figured throwing his sword again would not yield a very good outcome.
He noticed some trees that were only partially rooted to the ground and said, "Hm, it may not be an axe, but I bet my sword could fell some of those trees. Then I could chop them into logs, stack them up, and stand on them." He glanced at his sword, smiled, then looked back at the trees. "Perfect!"

Paladin, that's okay, everybody petty much did xD)

He went to the trees, chopped them down, and then cut the trees into logs. Unfortunately, since he used his sword instead of an axe, it took him a lot of swings to successfully chop the trees, so the durability of his sword went down drastically.
After he cut his logs, he stacked them next to the apple tree, stood on top, and secured the apple. "Hah! Got you, you little bugger!" he exclaimed as he plucked the appke from the tree and jumped down off of the stack. "Now I just have to get you to Devina. I hope she didn't get bored and leave while I was gone." With that, he turned towards the general direction that the village was in and darted off.

Nicolette stands and looks around carefull, trying to figure out the best course of action in that moment

Micah nodded to Acen. "Well, we can't mope now. We have a job to do. People to save." She ran out and glanced around, noticing Soven. "Aha! Looks like Tybalt sent his cavaliers. Sweet, I've been waiting for a chance to fight without those darn Wyverns."

A cavalier marched up to the center of the town.

"Is there a dragon rider by the name of "Devina" here?"

Acen went to the front of the group, and answered out to the horseback-rider, "We've seen no dragon rider in this town. Are you from the Marauders?"

"That's none of-" he cut short. "Are you- you're Lord Xalys, aren't you? Gelvak would give me a promotion for bringing your corpse to him! Are the other lordlings here, as well?"

"Leave this place, whoever you are, marauders! This town doesn't need your blood."

The rider scoffed. "That's Soven, to you, lordling! And I will not leave until I have kiIIed you and brought the talented Devina back!" he turned, "get 'em, boys!"

ROUT THE ENEMY

Nicolette turned and spotted Calisto coming towards her

Micah scoffed. "Arrogant as usual, Soven. Is Tybalt so scared of us that he'd send someone else to find his daughter?
Pfft, I don't even need to ask. Of course he is."
She walked up to Soven and raised her blade. "But hey. Your fight isn't with him, it's with me. Let's see if you've changed at all since I left." She smirked.

"I don't know." he says sheepishly with a small smile.

Then he sneezes on Xelle again.

(when u need claritin clear around xelle)

(Alright, just gonna take a few steps back, aaaannnnd GO!)

Cliff reacted quickly after the enemy gave her command. He clashed with one of he cavaliers that charged forward and he knocked them of their horse with one swing.

Soven stares at Micah.

"Ahh! The little thief who so boldly deserted her allies. It'll be a pleasure cutting you down for your betrayal."

Soven stopped as Devina landed before him.

"Ah! Our little dragon rider, falling into our lap. Join us in battle, little Devina."

Cliff is suddenly surrounded by three mages. "Drat, I'm not particularly good at resisting magic attacks" He charges towards one of the mages and takes them out before they can cast a spell, but the other two are about cast fire at him.

"Hagh!"

Soven shoots a lance toward Micah.

She sidesteps, and the lance wedges itself into the ground. "You missed." She kicks the lance to the ground, and steps on it. "Whatever happened to cutting down the little theif?"
(Feel free to deem this as non-canon)

She glared at Devina. "Yeah, run. Just like her father. Gods, I almost feel sorry for her.
..Almost."

"You little brat!! I outta-!" He draws an iron sword and slashes toward the side of her

when suddenly lighting shot the sword down

Kath goes quickly to atack one of the mages near Cliff "leave it to me"

"Thanks!" Cliff successfully dodges the attack from the remaining mage, then charges towards them with his sword and takes them down.

(Amby, the heroes went to get medicine in a town and dropped the wounded Indigo and Oriale at a nearby inn. Micah and Nodimmyr got some healing stuff and brought it back to them. Marauders suddenly appeared and attacked the heroes and now we're fighting

*Grabs diviner scroll* *Sigh* Maybe I shouldn't have left the tribe...
*Sees familiar people fighting* Wowee! Are those the hubanans that gave me food? Ahh they're beating up other hubanans! I must help them! *Runs up towards them with tiger scroll out*

One of the enemy units spots and recognizes Cliff "You there! Where have you been? Get over here so we can give you proper comm-"

Cliff punches the soldier in the face, then lifts him up and slams him into the ground. Casually continues fighting. :P

"No problem, but watch out i see more mages towards this direction so ill help you"takes her lance and goes to attack other mages nearby.

"Hmph!" Rubio begins to squirm in Xelle's arms in an attempt to break free. "Lemme go lemme go!"

"Wait where did the orange haired hubanan go?", Kero says a worried look in his eyes.

Cliff yells to Kath "I'll assist you! My specialty is armored units, so if any cross our path, let me handle them!"

Rubio draws his butter knife and slashes at incoming enemies feet.

Kero: *Sees Rubio running away* Yells, "Hey tiny hubanan, you aren't doing plan on joining in there right?"

kath yells (while attacking a mage) back to Cliff "Understood and tanks ill leave em to ya! " ha! *insert cool spear attack here *

In the distance, he spots what seems to be a maid confronted by a woman with an intention to kill.
In an effort to prove himself to the group and to himself, he leaps infront of the deadly swordswoman and holds up his knife, attempting to block the potentially deadly slice.

(technically I'm just here with nothing to do, but I guess I could play as randomly named NPCs?)

An archer runs past

"Kahli, you had better start hitting these enemies or you'll get slaughtered by them, if not then Gelvak!"

he fires an arrow at Reuben, and another at Xelle.

Dodging the arrow fired at him, Reuben sprints in front of Xelle and manages to strike the arrow flying towards her with his sword

Kero: *Notices arrows being thrown at Kahli* "Watch out!* *Casts a spell to deflect them* "Why are you staring at this kid- OH."

Random Archer dude: "Gah! That myrmidon is quick!"

he ducks low and fires at Rueben again, and another and Madelyn

Cliff happens to be running past the archer, who doesn't notice him coming, and launches him back several feet with a swing of his armorslayer. (The arrows he fired are still active)

(huhughghuh ITS TIME)

Rubio's knife dropped to the ground as the sword made contact. The blow of the sword knocked the breath out of him and he tumbled to the ground. In pain from the sheer force of the swordswomans prowess (lol wth) and the cut he had recieved, he lay motionless on the ground, only his eyes wide open as he made eye contact. "Kahli..?"

His eyes flickered and he lay unconscious on the battlefield.

Still suprised he was able to even hit the arrow fired at Xelle, Reuben didn't notice the arrow fired at himself. "Gah" *Reuben yanked an arrow out of his shoulder* "alright that's enough of that" *Reuben advances towards the archer*

(POP OPEN THE CHAMPAGNE THE WAIT IS OVER AAAHHH)

Kero: *Screams* "WE NEED TO GET THIS KID SOME HELP! HURRY!"

(I think I might go. I feel really unimportant/unuseful to the plot of this chapter right now. :/))

Cliff encounters one of the commanders (no name for him, practically unimportant in the long run), an armored knight wielding a swordcatcher. "You! You were the soldier I sent to find the enemy's hideout! What are you doing?!"

Cliff: "You really are a bonehead, you know that? You sent me on reconnaissance when I'm clearly a fighter. Guess it's gonna come back to bite you, 'cause I'm on the other side now."

Commander: Hmph! That's the last time I trust a sword for hire! I'd have been better off sending a thief!

Cliff: ".............

...Yeah, no kidding."

Commander: "Anyways, you're in over your head if you think you can beat me!"

Cliff "I guess we'll see."

The commander lunges at cliff with his spear. Cliff sidesteps and swings at the enemy's side. It cuts a gash into the armor, but the commander avoids critical injury. Cliff swings overhead, but the opponent uses the swordcatcher and the two weapons become locked. The commander tries to twist the spear in order to snap the armorslayer, but the weapon is too thick to break so easily. Cliff kicks in front of him, knocking the commander over, then swings his sword down for the final blow.

(^That's pretty much it. Couldn't think of anything to add afterwards, but I think that ends alright. : ) Anyways, I am gonna be going to bed soon, so Cliff is basically just going to be fighting random enemies and helping other allies.)

I just got done catching up myself, and the most important thing that happened is Kahli the thief hurt Rubio {so now he's down}, but then joined the Royals' side.)

(Also, the battle between Sovan, the commander, and Micah is on hold until Inkbrush comes back. In the meantime, you can knock some infantry heads.)

(Morning guys! I'm gonna be working on something for father's day, but I'll try to keep up with what's going on.)

Nicolette transformed and slashed her talons at the Wyvern rider, hoping it had dealt some damage

Soven looks in surprise to see his sword clash to the ground.

Just then, a hooded man appears upon a rooftop.

"You guys don't play nice, do you?"

The man jumps down and throws an elfire at Soven, making his horse rear back.

The man pulls his hood back, to be seen his dirty blonde/brown hair. "It's gonna be alright, Micah" he says with a smile.

"First time I come onto the job and my commander attacks in a peaceful village? I knew after all these years you were a giant douche bag, Soven." He says holding a wind tome in his hand.

Soven snarled "curse you, boy!"

After taking out the knight, Cliff re-groups with Kath, who took care of several more mages, and they decide to split up and search the field for anyone who may need assistance. Cliff notices the skirmish between Devina & Nicolette and heads in their direction.

Cliff blocks the attack with his armorslayer and breaks Devina's momentum, but she flies out of range for him to strike back with his sword. "Mages and flyers. It's always those ones that give me trouble."

Cliff reacts, but is knocked off his feet from the force of her attack. He quickly gets back up but is unable to respond to her next move.

She laughed. "You're some leader, Soven! It takes someone special to lose almost his entire squadron!" She turned to the man on the roof.
"Hey, thanks. I guess you must be with Bael, considering you're with this loser and know about me. Who are you, exactly?
Oh, and you were spot on with your judgement on Soven. Total dastard, that guy."

(I'll catch up again soon guys. At a family cookout right now)

The now unhooded man jumps down from the roof and next to Micah.

"I'm Hitoshi. Surprised you didn't recognize me." he says with a smirk.

"You... fools! Disbanding against Gelvak means death!" Soven snarled, unsheathing a new Silver Sword. "I'll kiII you BOTH!"

Acen:"Hey! Thanks for the help Hitoshi,we could really use.

Reuben engages an enemy fighter, dodging an axe swing and retaliating with a quick spinning slash to the fighter's axe shoulder.

it's been FOREVER since I've wanted to get him in here, since like Ch2! Thanks Ace :D)

She smirked. "I've eluded death before, I can do it again. Hitoshi, would you mind helping me out with this guy?"

(Hitoshi...you mean that guy you drew for Colors Emblem, right? I thought he was a mercenary; guess you a lot changed since then, eh? Or am I missing something again?)

After running for awhile, Argon stops. "Hm, that's odd; I could've sworn the village was right here...unless..."
He takes a moment to think, and the has a sudden realization. "Darn, I must've gone too far to the left! The village should be more in this direction!"
With his course slightly adjusted, Argon once again darts towards the village.

Hitoshi chuckles. "I'd be glad to, but you've got some goons behind you, so I'll cover your back instead."

Soven flashes his silver sword and charges toward Micah.

Micah drew her Gale edge, and readied herself in a battle stance. She then jumps to the side to avoid Soven's attack.
"Heh, you're gonna need to try harder than that if you want me dead."

Acen:Looks,like Soven should watch out! *attacks Soven with Solais from a distance,kinda like Ragnell's distance attack in his own game*

She glanced at Acen, noticing how Soven's attention was focused on him and Nodimmyr.
"Bingo."
She rushed at him, blade drawn, and slashed at him from the side.

(Just think of Cloud's B move with the limit break XD)

Soven lurched in pain. "GAH! You brats are-" and then he drawled out cursing with his sword swinging wildly at Micah and Nodimmyr.

the sword lashed toward Nodimmyr's shoulder

Acen:Nope! *block's Soven's attack* Not this time!

Micah dashed in front of Nodimmyr in an attempt to block the attack with her sword, but she instead took the hit in her stead.
She held her left shoulder, which was now bleeding.
"Gah..
Us 'brats'.. Are more honorable than you, you rat." She spat.

Acen:"Drat I couldn't cover Micah..! You! *Uses thunder to stun the horse and pushes Soven off of the horse* "Fight like a man!" *he swings Solais ar Soven*

"hrgh!" wincing from the pain he had already received, added that he hit the ground, Soven stubbled up.

"I'll take you all on!!" he screamed swinging his original steel lance he had scrambled to pick up.

*Acen confronts Soven*"I don't want to hurt you anymore! I was taught to help not hurt.I also don't like to hurt people that are weaker.Stand down now!" *Readies Solais in case he has to fight more*

Micah laughed. "What is with you guys being so darned Stubborn?"
She winced from her shoulder, but readied her blade once again.

( @Allure: Let's just say, for the purpose of what was set up, Nicolette attacks Devina from the side. Would that alright, guys?)

Cliff gets up and points his sword towards her. "I don't know what you're trying to prove, but this clearly isn't your fight. You should leave, now."

(Hm, getting close to the end here. Better move faster, Argon!)

Argon emerged from the forest thicket and arrived at the village outskirts; however, he could sense that something was amiss.
"I know that sound...that's the sound of war." Then he rembered Devina and gasped, "Oh no, Devina!"
He continued toward the village with great haste.

Cliff lowered his weapon and spoke calmly "Does that proves anything? Would this father of yours be proud of someone who'd foolishly throw their own life away. I can see you turmoil, believe me, but I've seen people consumed with pride before, and in the end, it leads to nothing but suffering and pain.

(Hey Paladin, could you do me a favor and have Cliff try and put her out of her misery? It'd help a lot to make Argon's entry most dramatic!)

( @Jon Hm, I don't know. It's out of character for Cliff to kill someone who's going through this kind of turmoil. I'll try to think of something else.)

(Hm, I thought that might be a problem. Perhaps you could just make it look like that's what he's going to do, but in reality, he has no intention of doing it.)

Cliff: "If that's how you feel, then fine, but I refuse to fight with you any further." He turns and begins to walk away from Devina, when suddenly, another soldier charges at her and attempts to strike her down.

Argon arrives at the scene, only to seean inured Devina about to suffer a kill-blow. "Devina, no!" he gasps as he drops the apple that he worked so hard to get, but that didn't matter to him right now. Charging towards her attacker, he shouts at the top of his voice, "STOOOOOOOP!!!"

Soven glares at Acen, "NO!" I will not back down! I will bring.... cough... I will.... COUGH!!" he starts to spit blood from the wounds he had accumulated.

"hrgh.....hargh!" he thrusts the steel lance out of his hand as if it were a spear with huge force of rage at Acen.

Lunging his sword at her attacker, he lands a devastating critical hit; however, upon doing so, his beaten blade shatters to pieces. ["Bloody hell, that was my favorite blade,"] he thought to himself, ["but I can be mad about that later. Right now: Devina!"]
He crouches low next to his injured comrade and asks her "Are you alright, Devina? I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner!"

Hitoshi can be seen casting wind and thunder at random dudes coming from behind the inn :b

*Acen avoids the attack*
You lost already.I can let you go,you can live your life.Please don't make me end it.."

His expression turns to one of terror. "No no no, don't you die on me, Devina! Don't you freakin' do it!" He turns to Xybrass, picks up Devina, swallows, then tries to mount up on Xybrass.

Cliff is barely able to comprehend what just happened. He sees Argon with Devina "Are you her friend? You better get her out of here before more reinforcements show up."

Staggering whilst trying to mount steadily, he turns to Cliff and exclaims, "You mean there's more of them?!" Glancing at the Royals's forces, which were much bigger than he remembered, he thinks ["Geez, they're getting good at recruiting people!"]

(Here's the drama: Devina gets ambushed, Xybrass protects her, Argon kiIIs the attacker, Devina falls unconscious, Argon curses, Allure washes dishes :b)

Soven staggers with blood dripping, eyes dazed and face ragged with anger

"Y'know what?...... RETREEEEEAT!!" he screams running and then collapsing to the ground.

Startled by the hasty takeoff, Argon struggles to maintain both his balance and grip on Devina.
["The things I do for people; I hate flying mounts, but I need to get her to safety!"] he thinks to himself.

Micah turned around to see Argon and Devina.
"Argon! You're with her?! Where are you going?"
She turned to see a group of soldiers being held off by Hitoshi.
"Gods, that's way too many soldiers to take on alone. Hold fast, I'm coming!" She ran to Hitoshi's side, and as she stopped, she winced from her wounded shoulder.
"Hah.. Need some help there, Hitoshi?"

*Reuben does more myrmidon stuff*

*kath still attacking enemies *

"He has? Saves us some trouble."
She says as she sheathes her blade. She scanned the area, seeing that the village is mostly untouched.
"Alright, the village is safe! Is anyone hur- Er, is anyone ELSE hurt?" She shouts, holding her shoulder.

After noticing Xybrass ease up, he looks down at him. "You...slowed down? Uh, thanks." He then turns his attention to Devina. "Don't worry, everything's gonna be okay, I'll make sure of it," he whispers.

Reuben: "Just took an arrow in the shoulder and bruised a bit here and there, but I'll live"

Hitoshi barely looked at Micah. "I'm doing okay, just juggling a few bandits. You look beat up, stay behind me alright, man?"

Cliff finds the soldier that Argon hit, who's heavily wounded, but still alive. "This man needs a healer."

Kath goes quickly for Xelle ¨Xelle we need your help i shall take ya with the others *offers a hand so she could mount her pegasus*

Hitoshi looked to Micah, then out to the center of town. "I believe they are all retreating now. It looks as though we've won." he turned with a crooked smile.

(I'm actually wondering if we should end before Argon and Devina reach the camp for more of a dramatic cliffhanger. Any votes on the subject?)

She nodded. "Yep. Hey, thanks for the help. I doubt I'd be in very good shape if you didn't step in.
Hey, how'd someone like you get stuck with the marauders? You don't seem like the kind of person to join up with them."

Cliff finds a spot away from the blood and bodies of the bandits, then sits down and tries to ease the tension throughout his body.

Cliff: "I'm alright, just meditating."

She smiled. "It really has. I still can't believe I didn't recognize you. Good thing we met when we did."

Kath:"understood Xelle" *goes with Kahli and other nearby soldiers

Micah's eyes suddenly widened. "Gods, I forgot about Indigo and Oriale!"
She whirled around, and went straight for the inn. She headed into the room they had left Indigo and Oriale in and looked around.

(And as I come back, I must go to sleep!

(Okay, so Indi wakes up)

As Micah entered the room, Indigo could be seen standing up but holding his arm.

"Micah?" Indigo said a little confused.

She let out a sigh of relief.

"Indigo! Thank the gods you're alive! How's your arm?"

"I...I m'm fine. Just a little sore. Where is-" he turns to see Oriale. "Is she alright??" He asks quickly

*I-I'm fine

Her expression shifted to a worried one. She walked over to Oriale and looked to see if she was breathing.
"...Sleeping. She should be fine. I say we give her some more time to rest and heal.
Though, I'll be honest, I didn't expect you to be up already."
She glanced at Indigo's arm, then back at him. "I'd ask if you still need to rest, but knowing you, I think I know the answer."

(Assuming I won't be needed, I'll just wait in the background...the far background. Anyway, let me know when the summary needs to be done {unless Allure wants to do it, in which case let her know instead}.)

(Hey)

Acen:Indigo,just rest a bit.Id rather you rest then risk yourself again.Ik sure everyone else agrees."

Indigo looked down a bit then spoke, "I guess I heal a little faster. I didnt want Oriale to get hurt. I... Should've been smarter than to throw myself into the middle of the fight... She wouldnt have tried a stunt like covering for me..."

He looked to Acen, then to Micah, "I'm not resting any longer than I need to. I can walk. I'll take it easier but I'm not going to sleep away this mission."

Acen:Rest for now.You should be fine tomorrow,but for now rest."

Indigo brows furrow a bit.

"You... You both look beaten... You've have been battling, haven't you? What happened??"

He says as he then flopped sitting back onto his inn bed.

She nodded. "Marauders. We beat them back, but we're all pretty beat. Gelvak isn't letting us lick our wounds anytime soon.
..On the bright side, I think I might've sparked a bit of rebellion in the Marauders. Three defected and join our cause.
It's nice to see familiar faces again."

(*joined* AHHHH.)

Acen:Two of my retainers have joined our cause too.They'll help out a lot.

(meanwhile kahli is parading outside with almost dead baby child)

Indigo stirred and looked at the two quickly.

"We've gained FIVE new allies? Three of which were Baels? I can't thank you and those five enough. This eases my mind a little..." he trailed off a bit, " ...thank you." He ended, closing his eyes a little.

She smiled. "Rest up, Blue hair. You need it." She turned around and walked out of the room.

"Everyone, Lord Indigo has mostly healed, but he needs rest. What's the plan?" She questioned.

Acen:We stay and wait for one more day.We all need to rest.Ill keep watch,you guys get rest,I'll cover the cost.

"Thanks, Acen. I'll tell everyone else that we're staying." She walked towards the door, and turned back. "I guess you're not so bad after you get past all that joining Xalys crap."

Hitoshi looks up at Micah as he was sitting at a table in the small, wooden lobby room. "Hey Micah! So are we staying here for the night?"

Acen:"You're welcome.Sorry about that.
*thinking to himself*[She doesn't realize how important she is to the divine swords..]

(Hey guys, I'm probably gonna let you guys finish the chapter unless you want Cliff to interact with someone for any reason. Anyways, I just wanted to say I had fun the last couple of days with this RP, and I look forward to the next chapter! ^-^)

"Hey, Hitoshi!
Yeah, we're gonna be here until everyone's ready to head out. Indigo is feeling a bit better than before, but he needs rest. Acen says he's covering the costs.
..Hey, don't mean to pry, but what are you going to do after this Gelvak mess is over? I'm planning on heading back to Avia and being a thief again. It worked before..

Hitoshi gave a small yawn, leaning back in his chair.
"Well... I hadn't put much thought in it. I would probably stick around in Avia, too. I'd find some line of simple work and make enough to start my own business, that or stay a hired mind, I am a tactican after all." He says jokingly with a laugh, "But... Yeah I dunno. I wouldn't go back to being part of some gang again, that's for sure." He stares blankly for a few heartbeats, "Why do you ask?" He says as he lifted his gaze upon her again.

(This chapter is pretty much officially done, but airwave still needs to figure out the Kahli and Rubio thing before we call it, other than that, the bad guys were routed, the royals were given the medicine, and everybody is bunking at the inn)

Hitoshi started a bit "Wait, did you say Indigo? And Acen? We have the Valonian and Xalisian Lords here??"

"Just curious. I figured you'd have a better plan than me. Can't say I have much to go back to." She stared at the table for a moment, then lifted her gaze back at him.
"Oh, yeah! Guess I never told you. We're traveling with royalty. Lady Oriale is here as well. I should probably fill you in.."
She stretched a bit, then leaned back and began to tell of what had happened.

Hitoshi showed intrigue in his eyes. "Wow. Lady Oriale, too?? I didn't think we were some part of an army by the houses of this land and others! I thought this was merely a rag-tag team against Gelvak and his cronies." he said managing a chuckle. "Dang, now this feels deep. I'm glad to lend a hand to this cause. I shall follow milady's orders as best as I can perform."

Rubio remains unconscious.

"Heh.. Yeah. Guess you could say we're lucky. This is a cause I'll gladly fight for, unlike being stuck with Bael.
..Gotta say, it's nice having people who trust you and care about you. Seeing Soven was a nice reminder that almost everyone was quick to go after my head."
She stared at the wall for a moment, then looked back to Hitoshi.
"..Anyway, being around the royals is pretty nice. The only problem is how some of them are dragonbloods.. And you know how that goes."

(Alternatively, I could put something in the summary about it {after making sure I know what she plans to do, unless it gets real delayed, then maybe...}, that way the chapter won't be frozen in limbo.)

Kahli scrambles into the inn cradling her unconscious brother and falling to the floor, sobbing. "Someone... ANYone... HELP HIM!" she cries, frantically searching for help.

(Okay, we need some interaction here. I'd do it, but I'm stuck in my own side story like usual. Anyone want to help Kahli today, or should we wait until tomorrow for maximum chance of attendance?)

Micah turned to see Kahli.
"Wha-
Gods, what happened to Rubio?! Wait, never mind- where's Xelle and Madalyn?!"

(Does anyone there have an elixir or concoction or something? That might simplify things.)

"It's all my fault.." she cried while bringing her hands to her face in agony.

She reached into her pocket and pulled out a bottle. She shook it, and handed it to Kahli.
"Concoction. He needs to drink it, and he should be fine. Now, cut the waterworks, alright?"

(And the time for summarizing draws near, slowly, but surely...)

Kahli sighs heavily as her heavy sobbing begins to diminish and willingly took the concoction from Micah. "T-thank you.." she whispered looking down at her poor brother's pale face. Holding the concoction near his lips, she gently pried his mouth open and poured the elixir down his throat. (im assuming a concoction is a drink thing). A few moments passed - her eye contact remaining solely on Rubio. Suddenly, Rubio started coughing and his eyes opened slowly but surely.
"Wh-who are you?" he asked timidly.

(im going to leave it at a cliffhanger because i dont want to draw this out any longer than it needs to be)

(Chapter 4: Cliffhangers Galore
All right, TWO cliffhangers! This will make for quite the interesting beginning to the next chapter!)

(Yay! I won't be able to get to it immediately, because I have to go somewhere, but I'll make sure to get to it as soon as I get back!)

(Alright, I'm finally back! Sorry for the long wait; there were a lot more places I needed to go than I first thought.)

Plot summary:
Argon and Devina arrive at a nearby village. Devina takes a stroll around town while Argon goes in search of the apple that he "owed." He finds a vendor that sells apples, but they are overpriced, so he heads into the forest in search of the apple tree where the merchant got his from.
Meanwhile, Indigo and Oriale sustained major injuries during the last battle, but the village that they currently are at does not have any way of helping them. Luckily, Micah knows of a village with medical prowess and leads the group towards it; however, unbeknownst to the Royals, it's the exact same village where Argon and Devina landed!

Time passes. Argon has not returned from his expedition, but the Royals arrive at the village. Micah, Nodimmyr, Acen and Reuben all split up to try and find the Pokemon Center-like hospital. Acen and Reuben bump into an old lady while Micah and Nodimmyr successfully locate the hospital. Once everyone regoruped in the town square, they learn that Indigo and Oriale are resting at a local inn.
Upon reaching the inn, the Royals gain several new allies, including a Bael mercenary named Cliff, who was hired to locate the Royals and report back to Gelvak. After the Royals get acqauinted with the new recruits, a Bael squadron shows up, led by none other than the dastardly Soven!

Cliff and Katherine immediately get into the fray, incapacitating enemy troops with some excellent teamwork. Meanwhile, another new ally, a Laguz by the name of Calisto, sides with the Royals and joins the battle. Upon seeing her fellow Marauders, Devina mounts her wyvern and heads toward Soven. After a quick chat, she darts into the air while Soven attempts to take on Micah. Before he can land a blow on her, another new friend, a Bael Marauder by the name of Hitoshi, sides with the Royals and assists Micah in her battle against Soven.

Meanwhile, Rubio wandered over to Xelle, the Royals' new cleric. After some small talk, a thief jumps out and attacks Madalyn, the Royals' new maid, but Rubio intercepts and takes the blunt of the blow. The thief, who turns out to be Kahli, Rubio's brother, immediately drops everything and tends to her wounded little brother.
In the meantime, Soven continues to fight against Micah and Hitoshi while Devina engages Cliff. Both Baels end up losing their battles and sustain major injuries. Soven orders a retreat, but Devina is too hurt to move. An allied soldier moves in to finish her off, but Argon shows up in the nick of time and successfully defends Devina. Seeing how major her injuries are, he mounts Xybrass (Devina's wyvern) and heads back to the Bael base in hopes of getting her to someone who could heal her.

Once the enemy retreated, Xelle went around and healed the injured while Hitoshi and Micah returned to the inn where Indigo and Oriale rested. Once they got there, they were surprised to see Indigo awake. Despite the fact that he insisted on having had enough rest, Acen told him to continue to rest, and he did. Afterwards, a devastated Kahli bursts into the inn, begging for someone to help her injured brother. Micah gives her a concoction, which she then gives to Rubio.
Will it be enough? Can Argon get to the base in time to save Devina? Why does Rubio get to eat stuff, but no one else does? They're probably all famished! Find out next time, on Fire Emblem, Beyond Infinity!

Hey, I'm not sure who will read all of this, but I'd like to take the time now to apologize for my repeated insensitive behavior lately. I think it's time that I really began to loosen up and quit getting upset whenever the RPs get held up. I really enjoy doing these {probably too much, at this rate}, and they can't exist without all you guys being here to help move them along.
