This is a beautiful start and I can definitely see how a sparkling forest would fit well. As for what I wrote, you'd really have to be familiar with conspiracy theories like the Illuminati to get all of it, but here's the basics: Some powerful people control nearly all forms of media on the planet. Much of what they do is subtle mind control (like Huxley's book Brave New World). People like politicians, music and sports stars, actors, etc follow the belief system of those in power, which says that soon a time will come when many people will leave this planet if they are "ready". They send messages through media to their followers to tell them how much time they believe they have. So, if they're right, millions of people will vanish one day. If they're wrong, that won't happen. But I at least believe they're right that this existence is not all there is. That skips most of the concept, but does that make sense?
