i actually thought of this and noticed this action from myself.
im so negitive about the word "Cute" or "pretty" is because im not use to it,i've never been called that until highschool. mainly because i act like a damn kitten....but other than that,i don't believe in those two words. i've been called ugly ever since i think im just...."ugly".i think you're probably lying to me and just saying that to make me feel better.i would like to be called cute if u really mean it.
plus this isn't a rant.

same,when ever someome calls me pretty/cute.I ask them if they were dared to say that to me.Cause that always happened to me,people dare eachother to ask me out as a joke.Even though it was funny to them ,to me it just played with my feelings.

yeah I felt the same way but then I kinda noticed how so many people are really pretty/handsome but they think they aren't and It made me think that maybe I'm like them. You could be too! (although i never seen ur face) You are very pretty but you just can't see it. Anyone who says ur ugly are very shallow and only look for prbly those who look like celebs and sh't and need to wear some glasses.

To me, it's a matter on who says it. depends on the person who says it, they can be "fake" people trying to comfort you with words, not letting out the truth on whats really on their mind. or they could be your trusted people to say it to you in a moment that felt needed. for example, "oh, you look cute...! sorry i know you don't like the word. but right now, it seems to beat the word pretty and nice or 'good looking'." i like how you are a nice person or more humbly, kitten-chan. some people would feed off "Amazing" and more miraculous words like that. there are times when atleast one person or more will notice something really nice about you or even the word, "cute" you may not notice it.
