Aquatic inteligence by The_Adjudicator

Although I'm not directly interested in aquatic life, I'm always up for learning new things to contemplate philisophically. That, and this was next on my request to-do list, aside from an art trade that I guess might not happen (requests, art trades, etc are still closed off though).

Anyway, the reason I found motive to do this request was mostly because of a documentary I happened across a while back. Providing much detail on research involving dolphins most specifically.

...Continuation:
Most interesting of all was that some marine biology researchers documented patterns in all the chatter between the dolphins, and have reason to believe they hold sentient conversations. The noises dolphins make (I forget the word used for the sounds they make [ie: dogs bark; cats meow, etc..]) seemed to follow a pattern, or rather, a mysterious law, known as Zipf's law, which is surprisingly consistant with all human languages.

I thought that was interesting..

Gorgeous work! ^-^ This has to be one of the greatest interpretations I've seen of this photo!

Oh, and yes, these distinct vocalizations (which can truly be classified as dialects) have been documented in many cetaceans. ^-^ For example, different orca pods around the world have different dialects and even varying food preferences-their own culture. And a dolphin's brain (orcas are dolphins too) has three more folds in the area that processes emotion, social bonding, self-awareness, and other traits that were previously thought to only exist in humans (not even primates have some of these characteristics!).

Sorry- got carried away. xp Typical of an awkward cetacean nerd such as myself.

I wonder what dolphins discuss, probably the clearness/pollution of the water like humans talk about the weather lol. Great work :)

This is amazing, and the fact that you only used an eraser is even more amazing.

I can't even do a basic sketch without using undo and flip constantly!

Holy crap, these is so freaking realistic!! You did an amazing work.

I've heard that they think dolphins can have conversations kinda like us too. It's really interesting.
