With those shoulders, they look like Peanuts characters.
Remember that gems are FEMALE, so their shoulders are slightly slanted, like an upside-down "U" shape.

If you want my two cents, though, don't feel forced to stuff a several panels onto one page.
You could try publishing one or two panels a day to create suspense.
