Dude above me? They copied other artists because that's how prints were made back then. Big shot artists would hire n00bs to make smaller copies of their work so they could be sold to the masses, and that's how they made a lot of their money. Little bit different from tracing and claming something as your own...
I suppose it makes for okay practice, but a lot of people claim it for their own, or don't give the original artist due credit. I've found it can really stunt your artistic growth in the long run, as well... Speaking from experience on that one... Having to re-learn everything is not fun.
You know what I hate more than tracing, when big shots like you go up to my friends and insist that they trace even if they say they haven't thats what pis.s me off
mpboss,i have never done that! now liston up,i am saying that tracing other peoples work and saying it is your own is bad.do you disagree?i dont go around saying "you traced" "you traced"!get your facts right before accusing people of saying things that they did not say!thatsbthe type of thing that gets me pis.sed off!
good then we're on the same ground... funny I swear someome with a similar name to yours was bugging my friends... oh well must have been someone else can we start off fresh?
actually it is worth the likes, it takes tons of time and effort and TELLING US ARTISTS TO STOP MAKING ART IS JUST WRONG, TRACING IS REAL ART, i hope you learned somthing.

Did you know Davinci, Monet and Picaso sat around all day copying off people before they developed their own style.

I mean, it's not ok to trace another color artist's drawing but if your tracing Link or Mario, it's fine.
