However... there was an orange fennec fox that kinda looked like...

"CAM!" Nic yelled in shock. He was surprised to finally find her after all this time.
The fox turned around. It was definitely her. She had cameras for eyes now. A sad fate. Nic hated seeing those eyes. They looked like torture.
"I'm sorry but I have to go." Cam said dishearteningly. She began to leave, but a cat landed im fron of here with a "thump!", making a small crater in the empty parking lot. It was Peter. His mechanical wings folded up into his back and he narrowed his eyes.

"You're not going anywhere." Peter growled through a synthesizer. He turned to Nic and held out a hand. It shape-shifted into blaster. "Hail the Egg-Man." he said before blasting Nic in the chest and through the wall.

Sliat was woken up by this, instinctively, she rushed to Nic. "Are you okay?" she asked, but she didn't have to wonder for long as his chest wound began healing instantly.

"Guess so." Nic gasped out.

Peter crashed through the wall, making another hole. He stretched out his arm to get the purple chaos emerald, but it floated away from him, and into Nic's hand.
"Well that was random." Sliat said.
"Interesting." Nic said, grasping the shining emerald.

Peter didn't take kindly to this and opened his mouth, spewing fire at the two which was fought back by Sliat who fought fire with fire and shot flames at him.

"Get out of here!" she yelled at Nic. He nodded and did as told.

He ran outside and was greeted by Cam. She smiled, and Nic decided she was on his side. He asked her to run with him to the museum to hide the emerald from Peter where it was safe to do what Sliat had asked. They had been waiting so they could sketch out the logistics of the plan. Cam agreed, and so they ran.

They hid out in the planetarium. The constellations shown bright above the two. Nic held the Chaos Emerald high above his head and began trying to say magic words to activate its power.

"Presto!" Nothing. "Abra, kadabra, alakazam!" Nothing... "Open sesame!" Again, nothing.

Cam just laughed. "You gotta start it off with, 'The servers are the seven chaos'! That's what the plaque says." she snickered, holding out the plaque from the Angel Island exhibit. "We need to hurry and unlock the emerald's power! I really hate being a robot y'know, but I want Peter to be free before me."

"Yeah well, I'm just trying to figure out what comes after." he said in an as-a-matter-of-factly tone.

"Doin' a bad job. I'm sure it's not, 'The servers are the seven chaos. Presto!'" she waved her arms about sillily.

"Fine! Fine..." Nic chuckled. "The servers are the seven chaos. Chaos is havoc. Havoc comes from not giving a f*ck. The emeralds harness this ability to not give a f*ck, and we need it back! Chaos! Answer my call!" Nic screamed into the starry sky above them. The emerald glimmered a bit, much to the two's surprise, and the planetarium roof began a meteor shower.

These seemed like good omens until Peter and Sliat crashed through the roof in a tussle. They landed in some seats and began using their fire powers to hurt each other. Eventually, Peter was too much for her, and she was flung off into the sliding doors and out of the room. Peter turned on Nic and pounced, slashing at him, but Nic managed to roll away from the insane cat.

"Come back here so I can kill you!" Peter screeched at the top of his lungs. Nic didn't get to respond because Peter grew hatred for Cam and attacked her after she broke the plaque on his head.

"Do you see this barette?" Peter asked, motioning to her hairpiece once he had hold of her. "This is how much free will she has." he turned a dial on her back that turned the barette to red. "Now she completely obeys me. Cam, attack this b*tch."

Cam sized up her threat and ran at him, but not before Sliat rammed through the doors with a statue of Miles "Tails" Prower when he was eight. She used the statue to smack Cam away.

"Go! Do it now!" Sliat yelled, tackling Peter.

"Ok!" Nic affirmed. He held up the emerald. If only he could unlock its powers... Power! That was it! "THE SERVERS ARE THE SEVEN CHAOS! CHAOS IS POWER, POWER ENRICHED--" he watched as Sliat fought for him. He smiled. "--BY THE HEART! IT IS THROUGH THIS POWER I UNLOCK THE CHAOS! CHAOS CONTROL!"

And then there was nothing.
Then there was something.

Nic rose up from the floor dazed. He looked at Peter who appeared perfectly normal and unrobotic. So did Cam, who rushed to his side. However, his hands were now metallic except for some white markings. He sighed. For once, he didn't care as long as everyone was alright.

"If you don't get up and tell me you're fine I'm gonna kick your *ss." Sliat said menacingly.
Yup, that was Sliat.
