I had a nice idea! Instead of just real life animals in my story, it can have a few made up ones to add the fantasy vibe! So, Terukashisi are better used for travel than horses. They can handle almost any terrain and are less likely to hesitate any form of climbing.
Like the platypus, it's a mammal that lays eggs.
