I think the worst thing an artist can do is lose their personal art style. I've seen many of my older friends go from their own (albeit often ShinyEevee-based) art style that had their own twist on it to the very hard to distinguish Tumblr art style. While many do improve going to this new method, I can hardly tell them apart from the other thousand users who have a very similar style. I don't mean to bash anyone, I wanted to give my thoughts on the current Internet art style trends.
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

100% agree
Though, to play devil's advocate, it's hard not to do that when its a style that works, even if it does look generic as all hell.

I can't really relate since I've never had a particular artstyle, but I understand.

I ran out of space in the description, so I'll clarify a little bit here:
I don't think it's wrong to want to implement techniques from different art styles into your own- if you look at the art styles from every decade of art (from now, to the 90s, to even the sixteenth century) there will be similarities. The issue I see with a lot of artists fumbling around with the "Tumblr art style" (which is often exaggerated in lankiness/chubbiness of characters, to kind of give an example of what it's about, among other traits) is that they fully adopt it instead of adapting some parts into their own.

^Basically.
(Also there's that weird thing with the tumblr style where the knees/elbows/joints are colored red for no reason)
But yeah, I agree.
