Tbh, I'm sure every fandoms are that cancerous, it's just that big hits (that can be a game, book,etc) have bigger fanbases (so more of all different types of peeps) and because they're more stupid (etc) fans in a big fandom then a smaller one, they are more easy to "encounter" than the ones from the smaller fandoms and because of that, people see way more easily the bad side of the big fandom than the smaller ones.
If that's confusing, I'm basically saying that disgusting fans from big fandoms are way more visible than the ones from smaller fandoms and that's why people think that one (big, generally) fandom is more cancerous than other fandoms (that are smaller).
That's what I think anyway.

Most fandoms are cancerous. Mostly Tumblr is the absolute worst because a user named Zamii attempted suicide because of cyberbullying over the fact that she painted Rose (Steven Universe) as skinny, and her "cultural appropriation" of wearing cosplay, so yeah. FNAF and Undertale are definitely not the worst.
