Nyra and Jell were both in shock, Nyra most of all. "Well then..." Said Ki. "Looks like he's actually gone this time." Jell glanced over to Nyra. "Nyra... This might not be the best time, but..." Nyra looked at Jell with wide eyes. Filled more with shock than anything else. "Did... Did you see his mark?"
"His... mark?" She paused. Suddenly her eyes opened even wider when understanding dawned on her...

His mark had been lighter.
Right then, a loud flap could be heard. Turnning the air in a why that sounded of flight.
Nyra and Jell turned and looked at the cliff that Niji had fallen from. "But..." Nyra started, but never finished, for a flash of white shot up from the edje of the cliff and landed a few feet infront and inbetween them both, right infront of the Shadow Beasts, who jumped back. "Don't," Niji took a step forward. "Harm," The Shadow Beasts took a step back. "Them..." Niji's face was now right infront of Ki's face. "Ever" As he said this, his forhead was practicly touching Ki's. And at that point, Ki ran off into the woods with his friend. "We'll be back Niji! We sware it!" It shouted back. Niji just stood there and glared after them. "I'm sure you will." He said quietly.
