Re: Why should we care? Because an awesome artist got traced and this person is infringing her rights. Nobody has the right to trace! So what if a lot of people get traced???? We don't appreciate ANYONE tracing people's stuff. It doesn't matter if the original artist is a Colors member or not.

Okay so since more people like you will probably come here I´ll answer this here. First of all it is incredible that I´m getting hate for saying my opinion and it almost makes me think about quitting colors since this community is seriuosly messed up.
Secondly @SharkHazard told everyone to NOT HATE that probably 12-14 year old kid who does´t know better. You guys still did.
It took that kid 2h to recreate that art and even if the lines match the original artwork it is still more work than just reuploading the original. That´s likely why colors doesn´t give a sh´t about your reports.
Just check out #traced and report them all if it makes you feel better.
I used to rage at random people on dA for stealing art and at one point realized what I was doing. People started to feel bad because they didn´t know that what they did was wrong and got nothing but hate. Many of them left the website or even stopped drawing for good.
The thing is if someone traces your art they show that they like

... your art and want to use it for practice. They will not make money with it, they will not get more popular than the original creator with it.
Hate will create nothing but hate and sadness and it doesn´t get you closer to your goal if you just go and babyrage at someone. Instead tell them in a nice way! I´ve often gotten thankful feedback when I told them nicely and offered help.

Re: I used a reference googled from my Mobile phone, so it is not an original. But I find that I learn a lot when I study the hard work of other experts in different areas of interest.

This might surprise you a little bit, but I love studying from artists likr you, because I think about how you do this, and I feel it helps me improve.

In short, I hope to keep seeing you paint excellent, and even simple paintings. Keep up the good work. :D

One: I did not hate this person for tracing. No where in their traced picture did I harrass, or say hateful things towards them, so I have no idea where you are getting the idea that I am hating on them. All I simply asked was for them to take the traced picture down and that they were reported; because they didn't take it down AND deleted Shark's comments about the issue before, which is very immature.
Two: Please don't say something like, "If you ever really watched or read Naruto you should truely know better how to deal with hate. " Because that utterly makes me feel horrible, because I love Naruto more than anything. I never hated on that person, I don't know where you got that notion from. The way you stated your comment just made me a little annoyed, because it almost sounded like you were saying that it didn't matter if people were being stolen from... But I wasn't supporting ANY hateful comments on that post, nor did I really see any extremely hateful comments.
Sorry if I gave you that impression, but I was NOT being hateful towards that person, nor was it ever my intention, I just wanted the same as everyone else. For them to not trace/steal Shark's art. It's not right for anyone to trace art and claim it as their own. Also I don't hate you for your opinion; nor do I see anyone else hating you? What you said just sounded a little bit rude to me. Also, sure tracing may be a compliment of sorts, but that does not make it right. You shouldn't trace something someone drew - there is no point to it. I get referencing a style or posing, but there really is no point in tracing something and just changing the color of it. :u There was no "babyraging," involved either. I did not scream in all caps at them, I asked nicely and told them they were reported because Shark had /already/ asked them nicely and they deleted her comments and didn't do a thing about it... And if Colors doesn't do anything about reports, then I suppose they are fine, and now they have a second chance to draw their own art. I am pretty sure there was more than that traced on their account... including some... mature pictures, but any way, it's over now, and I just want to tell you that I was NOT hating on them, nor am I hating on you. I don't hate people that easily, I'm generally really kind, but if you mess with my friends, I get mad; especially if they already confronted the person and were completely ignored...

Also, I already apologized for the rudeness of my first comment, but I was upset in that moment, and your comment set me off a bit, but I do not hate you, and I was not meaning to rage at you, which when I was typing it, I wasn't really raging, lol. I was just irked, as was Shark, it just feels absolutely horrid to be traced off of, so maybe you can see where I'm coming from...

I'm really loud and outspoken/straightforward in the things I say, and people tend to take them the wrong way, so I always have people over the internet, getting mad at me or hating on me, but I mean what I say, and I don't mean to say it the wrong way. I am not very good at expressing myself; sorry for so many comments, but now obviously you think I am a hateful person, and no I am not, I still can't understand why you think I was supporting any hate, but I can see why you thought I was raging from my first comment here, I was just a bit upset and I'm loud, even online, so yeah...

Also.i don't think you saw, but in the comments of my post about the theif, I stated not to hate them, and if you don't tell a tracer not to trace, they will keep doing it. Sure, you should do it without cussing them out, but still do it.

And I am constantly trying to stop tracers. I know a lot of people trace, and traced pictures always seem to get more likes than original pictures, like if someone traces a picture from an anime or something. I am always trying to stop tracers, but the reason you don't see me do it here, is because I quit this place a while ago. I just came back because I wanted to help my friend to get this person who was tracing off of her, to stop. I moved to Instagram, where it's a LOT worse. People are constantly tracing off of artists there and also reposting art, which is a lot more common than tracing. I am also helping out people who are being traced off of, no matter who it is. Some people I don't even know. I don't like tracers or referencers, I don't hate them, but I don't like them. I believe in second chances, but it makes me really mad when you ask a person nicely to remove it and they both delete your comments AND block you :I Like this person did to both the original artist, and me.
The original artist might even be considering leaving now, who knows.
But I get tracing. I get it! I have traced before a long time ago, but I NEVER ever made it the exact same as the original. Sometimes I just traced poses and changed it a bit; it was still wrong, because people don't like that, and now I don't do it anymore, because I kept practicing and learned to draw on my own. It feels a lot better when you can draw things for yourself.

Anyway, I'm really sorry for this misunderstanding, I'll say it again, I meant no hate towards you or the tracer, and I was not supporting/defending any haters there may have been. I just really want that person to take that picture down.... or at least give credit, otherwise they are claiming the picture as their own, and that is wrongful. Even if you don't see anything wrong with it... some artists specifically say "Please don't trace/reference," in their descriptions or bios, and people do it anyway, so it's just wrong...

Also then a friend of the tracer went onto Shark's original drawing and said that SHE stole it and that the tracer drew it a week ago on a piece of paper... Just... I can't even anymore... People are terrible...
