"According to witnesses, the skin-walker, formerly known as Scarlet Johnson, has escaped with the four roboticized Mobians and are in the city. City officials are asking citizens to stay inside and let no-one in. Thank you. Now back to your scheduled programming."

Nic tapped his foot impatiently as the puma lady disappeared. He could have saved her. He could have saved Cam. She was too far gone though. Once Peter was gone, she was too. She had a choice. Nic cried when she made it. She could have escaped with him and Sliat, but she chose to join her boyfriend, Peter in roboticization.
"No! Peter, please." she bawled, barely holding herself together.

"We'll be stronger, love. Imagine our combimed powers." his eyes were full of lust for power.

Nic screamed while she endured the roboticization process with her lover. Sliat just turned away.
Nic looked at her angrily. Why didn't she do anything? Cameron was more of a friend to her than he. She was talking to a jellyfish.

"That'll be 20 dollars, please." he said. She handed him the money and walked out of the store with Nic.

"Whatcha got?" Nic asked, looking in the bag. She pushed his muzzle away from her bag.

"Beef jerky." she answered.

"What else?"

"Beef jerky."

"No, other than that."

"Beef. Jerky."

"Give me that." he grabbed the bag quickly, which made her a little more than pissed. She slapped him hard and took the bag back, but not before he saw what was inside.

"ALL YOU GOT WAS BEEF JERKY?" he screamed. She smacked a hand over his mouth.

"Hey, you wanna wake up the whole neighborhood? This'll last us days. I promise." Sliat said in a hushed tone. "Do you have relatives here?" she asked as they started walking west. Nic was leading.

"Yeah, that's where I'm headed, why?" Nic replied.

"I'm gonna give you an hour with them, but then we have to hit the road. Hill Top City is about to become overrun with zombots and I'm not gonna be here for that, and if I can help it, you won't either."

"What? You haven't even asked my opinion! I'm not going anywhere with the likes of you!" he turned around to yell at her.

"Fine. You can die here. I don't care." she scratched her nose.

"Okay!" he said.

"Okay."
"Good!"

"Good."

They walked in silence for about a mile. There was no traffic and it was extremely dark this fine night. There were few "zombots" hanging around. Nothing significant.

They arrived at Nic's parents' house in half an hour. It was a huge mansion which Sliat was very lost in.
"Wait here." he said when they came to his bedroom. He left to search for his parents. Their cars were in the driveway, so they were likely home.
He went into the bunker they had for emergencies. He opened the hatch and covered his mouth. He ran to his bedroom which was on the second floor, took Sliat's hand and jumped out the window. She tried to ask what was wrong but he would not respond. His night could not get much more worse.
