Honorable Mention: Toph Beifong by Time Paladin
Avatar: The Last Airbender
What's not to like about Toph? She's a young girl who can manipulate giant freaking boulders and throw them at her enemies, despite the fact that she's blind! I guess what makes her really interesting is the philosophy of her character. The "seeing with your other senses" isn't a new concept (Daredevil anyone?), but what makes it cool here is how it ties to the art of earthbending. She uses vibrations in the ground to see things around her, which not only allows her to fight despite her handicap, but it also makes her one of the strongest earthbenders in the series. The writing for her character is also great, as she's one of the coolest and funniest characters in the show.

XD Avatar is awesome, 'nuff said! She's a really cool character, with a really unique ability. Hm you know, I think I remember where/when this bg scene comes from. When the old guy was training Aang and making him do a bunch of nonsense.

Toph was an amazing character! I lived her dry humor and sarcasm, but also her wisdom and strengths as a young character. One of my favorite scenes that involved her was when she exclaimed in excitement how the theatre show picked a fricken huge ripped dude to play her role xD
I'm glad to see she got to be drawn for the honorable mention! Great job and thank you, Time Paladin!

The Last Airbender is an amazing TV show and Toph is definitely one of my favorite characters from the series. Good job on this painting. :D
