The entire northern side of Vineton was chocked full of bustling shops and lively people. Drake, who was sitting in a tree near the edge of the exciting festival, was slightly uncomfortable seeing all the people below. "I just gotta stay low..." He muttered.

Marles walked at the outskirts of the festival. "Is it always like this?"

"We made it!" Leiko emerged from the edge of the forest, finally arriving after her day long journey with Cactus, her familiar.

Frostbite looked down from the tree at Marles and said, "Actually, today's the Trader's Festival, so... Everything's crazy."
At this, Drake almost panicked, "Frostbite, what are you doing?! We're supposed to LAY LOW." He whispered in a frustrated tone.

Hiding a small lake amongst the brush & trees, just a few feet away from the Festial.
Annabelle was listening to the sounds of humans hustling about in the distance.

Annabelle: * nervous & hesitant *....I'm not sure my humanoid form will blend in well at all....There's way too many humans around. * She fold her ears back flat against her head, at a loss for what she should do. *

Marles looked up "O-oh? well thanks for telling me." she said nerviously. Tot came from under her sheild "WHAT?!". Marles grabed him quickly "Don't shout, okay?". Tot looks up not paying attention to what she said, "... Hi, there!"

"Rest here for a bit," Leiko said, noticing how tired Cactus was, "I'll come back in a bit." Cactus climbed up a tree branch and watched as Leiko walked up to a nearby shop.

"Well, if we went in a group, people would be less likely to see us as suspicious..." Frostbite whispered to Drake before looking back at Marles. "Hi! I'm Frostbite, and this guy's Drake."

Drake leapt down from the tree and spotted Leiko and Cactus a little ways away. He was in plain sight to them for a moment before he darted behind the tree.

Marles looked at Drake for a moment, "H-hi I'm Marles and this is T-". Before she could finish, "I'm Tot, nice to meet ya!". Marles lets Tot go and he goes on her shoulder.

Cactus's eyes widened, having heard something in the bushes. Without thinking he jumped onto the next branch and bumped into the side of Frostbite.

"Hey there. What can I do for ya?" The shopkeeper asked Leiko in a raspy voice.
The shop had an assortment of different gemstones and metals. Most likely from Volkura.

Drake, still hiding behind the tree, noticed Annabelle a few feet away as well. "Why are there so many people hiding in the bushes?!" He whispered to himself.

"Ugh, don't mind him." Frostbite notioned to Drake, "He's super nervous about everyone around here, and thinks hiding is the answer." Frostbite chuckled.

"Woah!" Frostbite nearly lost her balance, but grabbed the branch with her claws just in time. "Watch where you're going!" She barked at Cactus.

Annabelle: * puffs her cheeks & decides to pass around through the trees so she doesn't bring attention to herself. She changes into her humanoid form & quietly sneaks through the brush listening closely for any strange noises *

( Okay I'm back from eating dinner! )

Marles "o-oh..." She stares at the festival. Tot looks at Frostbite "Well then, but that's normal. Marles is realy shy, so I know how it can get."

Nearly falling off the branch, Cactus dug his thorn-like claws into the side of the tree, "Sorry about that..." Cactus said nervously.

"Do you know anything about this sword?" Leiko took the sword off the side of her belt and placed it on the table.

Drake noticed Annabelle leave her hiding spot. Then he saw her human form dart through the brush. //Oh, she's a shapeshifter... That was why she was hiding...
I wonder what she's doing here?//
Frostbite smiled at Tot, "I thought if we stuck together that maybe we wouldn't be as... suspicious."
The shopkeeper examined Leiko's blade closely, "Hm... I've never seen a sword like this... It must be custom-made...
...I'd gladly take this off of your hands-just name your price." He offered, smirking.

(Oops, forgot the spaces between the different characters. .-. Sorry)

Leiko stared at the sword for a few moments. There was certainly something strange about it, she concluded. She couldnt quite tell what it was, but decided that it would be best to hold on to it, "I'm sorry, I dont think I'm ready to sell it," Leiko said as she picked up the sword and put it back on her belt.

Tot looked at Marles. "Yeah, it sounds good. Plus, we don't know our way around here yet so it'll be good to be with someone."
Marles looks back. "S-sorry, I got distracted."

Annabelle: * stops at the end of the forest, realizing that theres a large clearing with traveling people & merchant carts moving about. * "I knew it wouldn't be this easy...I'll never make it home if I can't get to the ocean. I can't stay in this form forever.
( Okay, now I'm starting to regret making a mermaid character xD )

The shopkeeper looked slightly disappointed, "Well, can I interest you in anything else? Some of these gemstones have magical properties."

Frostbite finally leapt down from the tree before looking up at Cactus, "Hey, you. Do you wanna come with us?"

Drake glanced over to notice a caravan. //More merchants...// He noticed the llama with them. //Poor thing... It doesn't even look like they give it water...// Drake suddenly darted out from the brush and into the crowd, looking for some way to help.

Marles hears the carts and watches the carts pass by. //that llama needs a break, it looks tired...//
Tot looked at Marles. "Is something on your mind?"
Marles turns quickly, "Uh... well. I-it's nothing r-realy..."

While the merchants were distracted, Drake emerged from some brush near the llama. He offered an apple to the llama, "I know it's not much, but it's all I could... 'buy.'" He whispered.

Frostbite looked at Marles, confused, then shrugged. "Let's go-wait, where's Dra-oh my gosh what is he doing." Frostbite stared at Drake in the distance.

Marles looks back. Tot stares "Does he do that often?"
Marles walks near the murchents "asking" about what there selling.
Tot looks at Marles. "It's the llama. That's it."

All of the sudden there was some kind of commotion. A large crowd of people had gathered not too far from the fur merchants.
From the sound of things...
Some kind of fight had broken out.

Annabelle: * ears shot up towards the commotion, she ran out to see what was going on, completely forgetting about hiding her identity as a shifter.*

( sorry if I reply slowly my internet is being crappy )

"What do you MEAN you won't sell it to me?!" A woman's voice echoed. "I know what you plan to do with it. You're going to use it to kill us all!" Another voice cried.
Some people were attempting to calm the two, finally, after a few more minutes of arguing, it began to die down.
"FINE. Keep your stupid trinket. You'll regret every second you keep it." The woman concluded, shoving half of the crowd out of her way.

As she left, a sudden feeling of dread came over the entire area. The once lively festival had almost gone completely silent.
Something was wrong.

Annabelle: * sensed danger, & realizes that she was out in the open for everyone to see that she infact, wasn't human *......Oh lord!..u-um! * ran back towards the lake she was hiding in originally *

Drake peeked out from the bushes and glanced at the llama, "You're no ordinary llama, are you?" He whispered."

One of the people from the crowd noticed Annabelle standing there and started muttering to the person next to him. "That girl... Doesn't look normal..."
"She's... A shapeshifter!" Another person growled.

Annabelle: * reached the lake & jumped into the water, looking up at the surface every now & then to see if anyone had followed her back * " looks like I'll have to wait until nightfall to move again...sigh.."

Frostbite saw Annabelle jump into the lake, and noticed the group of angry people following her. //Oh no... I gotta try and stop them!// Frostbite leapt in front of the angry mob and transformed to her aggresive form, ready to fight.

"Ah, I thought so. I don't imagine you like being with these guys...
Have you heard of the ruins academy?" Drake asked the llama, trying his best to stay quiet.

Annabelle: * could feel tension & hostility closeby. She peeked & saw Frostbite fending off her attackers. She felt guilty; why was this person protecting her? * ....... * Anna resurfaced, glaring angrily at the mob of humans *...Halt! Leave us be! Lest I forced to do something I really don't want to do.... You have been warned! Choose wisely...

Drake looked nervously at the merchants. "I shouldn't explain right now... But I want to help you.
If we just had a distraction... Maybe I could get you out of here." Drake muttered, trying to think of a plan.

The group of humans stopped their attacks and staggered.
Frostbite growled, "LEAVE!" She roared.
One feisty human came and stabbed Frostbite in the side with a spear.
This caused Drake to flinch.
"F-frostbite!" He quietly grunted. //Why'd I leave her like that...// He thought.

(Argh, I really don't want to end it here, but I gtg. :/ )

Annabelle: * gasped in surprise, she quickly swung her hand towards the human that attacked Frostbite. A large wave of water splashed the human, pushing him away from them both *..... Are you okay fluffykins?

Aww, okay! I had fun tho! goodnight!
